there are two car parks, one for the disable people , it is near the disable people bridge. The other one bit far from that near the main entrance to the Dagaba. As soon as you park your vehicle many flower sellers will surround your vehicle. but better buy flowers from the flower boutique. Weekdays car park not crowded, but mainly Sunday it is crowded, while you parking your vehicle please find the suitable location , otherwise someone will park very close to your vehicle, find difficult to open the door of your vehicle. Parking fee for the vehicle is 30 rupees

The Ruwanweli Maha Seya, also known as the Mahathupa (lit. 'the Great Thupa'), is a stupa (a hemispherical structure containing relics) in Anuradhapura, Sri Lanka. Two quarts or one Dona of the Buddha's relics are enshrined in the stupa, making it the largest collection of his relics anywhere. It was built by Sinhalese King Dutugemunu in c. 140 B.C., who became king of Sri Lanka after a war in which the Chola King Elāra (Ellalan) was defeated. It is also known as Swarnamali Seya, Svaṇṇamāli Mahaceti (in Pali) and Rathnamali Seya.

Huge car park for ruwanweli seya. Charges are applicable and 30. Highly disturbance from soothsayers and book sellers. No cover or tree for a shade. Public lavatory is also there. Have to walk around 200m to ruwanweliseya. It could be bit difficult in sunny days with barefoot.

If it's a rainy day, it's just a mud hole, if you park a vehicle, look for a side and park or you'll get hit, be careful of the monkes.

I recently visited the Ruwanweli Seya Car Park and was impressed with the amount of space available. It is well maintained and kept clean. I appreciated that there were plenty of designated parking spots, making it easy to find a spot quickly.

2023.02.04 We went to pick up the nurse. If you can show a plan of the places inside for those coming from a distance, it would be very valuable. Can reduce stress on crowded days.

Well designed car park. Surrounded by souvenir shops, Sweet shops and flower shops. Ticket amount is very cheap.

this place is managed by Urban council of Anuradhapura. it provide parking space for vehicles arrive with devotees to worship Ruwanweliseya Dageba. at the same time their are number of small boutiques that sell flowers incense sticks and other needed things for worship. several small shops sell religious books and food. place is well maintain. you have to buy a parking ticket if you park in the car park.

Can be highlighted as huge car park, but still rush in weekends or holidays where full of devotees. Charges are applicable for both parking and lavatory facilities. No shades and its about 200m to the Ruwanweli Seya. Numbers of vendors can be seen around the parking which may feel disturbance.
