The Best Food and Best Experience in Apalachicola, hands down! These guys could have a reality show, with the banter between staff. Haven't laughed this hard in a while. Barbara likes to pick on small town boy Danny and it goes on and on.

By far my favorite experience from a family owned and operated seafood and raw bar. Locals feel. The people were great , good salt of the earth people. Oysters of all styles (raw, half shell, Rockefeller, fried, with cheese, jalapeño and bacon) were all phenomenal. I did not try the fish sandwich but locals say it’s the best around? We really enjoyed the atmosphere. The mens head has a large sink with ice. Yes pee on the ice. Two thumbs up. I will be visiting this place again.

This is a regular stop for us every year when we travel from Tennessee. The raw oysters are the absolute freshest I've had and I've sampled oysters all over the country for the last 30 years.

Had fun sitting at the bar. Had oysters and a grilled grouper sandwich. I read some people complain about the service, it's not Applebee's and the staff don't wear flair (Office Space reference) so don't expect bubbly and fake. Don't just sit there, interact and have a good time. The staff are fun if you take the time.

Please give this place a try. We had a group of 5, and tried a new place each night of the week we stayed at St George and this was by far the best place we visited. Barbara was hilarious and offered some comic relief (at the expense of her husband Danny). The food was amazing, fantastic hush puppies and crab claws. Peel and eat shrimp were well seasoned and infused with flavor. Definitely a place with character and we loved it. Can’t wait to stop back next year!!

We were here in November of 2019. I had seen all the signs about the world's best oysters from Apalachicola Bay etc., so I picked up my son after his class in Panama City and drove all the way back only to be told that the Bay had been "fished out" that they were bringing in oysters from Texas. Bummer, seeing as how we are from the Texas Gulf Coast. However, bay conditions are NOT their fault, and the place and people were fun. We had a good visit.

Great food and cool interior. Very limited seating and a little crowded, but if you are willing to be patient you won't be dissapointed.

This is a quaint little restaurant. Nothing fancy here but the food was great. The waitress was nice enough to tell us they were out of oysters before our wait. We had a shrimp basket and a grilled grouper sandwich. the lightly breaded shrimp basket was the best. And the hush puppies were the best I’ve ever had. Service was fast and friendly. Prices are fair. We will go back again.

Stopped in for lunch and were wowwed by the bartenders and waitress (owner?) who was keeping everyone in line. What a show! We had a dozen raw oysters and they were large and tasty. Small place but it was hopping for a late lunch. Thoroughly enjoyed our time there. Sign says that the place is for sale. It may be changing soon, but as of now it is a great place. All the staff are a hoot!

Nice little place to eat. We stayed at SGI and ate here on the last day. It was the best grouper I had all week. Hush puppies are good. The people there are super friendly. Your kids can find the 6 hidden eyes in holes in the wall.

Ventured into the Hole in the Wall last night... my first time. Won't be my last! A little loud in the Tap Room but the staff and food are well worth it. A great place for an after work drink or to wind down on the weekends. Sat at the bar and although they were quite busy I was greeted right away. I looked over the menu and decided to have a cup of the Gumbo with my drink. It was packed with sausage, chicken and baby shrimp. The flavors were spot on with a little heat in the bite. Served with rice. I highly recommend it as it was delicious. The menu has something for everyone and is comparably priced to other establishments in town. The gentleman sitting next to me ordered their chocolate mouse cheesecake (?) Dessert. It was magnificent. I thought it looked small, but I little guess a long way with this decadent dessert. Rich, creamy, covered in deliciously creamy chocolate and caramel. Easily a sharable delight as he shared with me and one other for us to taste it. It was heaven in my mouth. I'll definitely be having the Duck Confitt fries on my next visit.

Amazing food! It's a challenge to manage crowds during Covid, but that's not their fault. Oysters were fresh. Boiled shrimp was awesome. Smoked fish dip was some of the best ever! I'll be back!

👍 Atmosphere was great, service was great. For those aficionados of shrimp and grits, beware this dish is creole inspired, and there are lots of tomatoes, green peppers, and red peppers in the dish. It made it slightly runnier than I wanted, but the taste was uniquely different and pleasant. Banana pu...
