First
let
me
say
that
the
last
traditional
gym
membership
I
had
was
in
the
mid-
1980s
so
I
could
take
aerobics
classes.
I
have
been
a
regular
walker
for
many
years
but
understanding
that
more
would
be
required
to
get
me
through
menopause
and
beyond
I
started
researching
various
fitness
options.
In
January
of
2020
I
was
in
a
bit
of
a
panic
because
we
were
getting
ready
to
embark
on
an
REI
Adventure
in
New
Zealand
and
I
was
not
sure
I
was
physically
ready.
Peak
City
Gym
was
not
officially
open
yet
but
Shane
and
Brendan
were
accommodating
and
I
was
able
to
join
in
some
of
their
sessions
being
held
at
another
location.
Never
having
really
worked
out
like
this
I
wasn’t
sure
about
committing
to
a
membership.
I
took
a
photo
of
my
workout
Brendan
had
written
on
a
whiteboard
and
shared
it
with
a
trusted
certified
athletic
trainer,
his
response;
“those
guys
know
what
they
are
doing”.
It
was
a
new
experience
for
me
taking
direction
from
trainers
(who
are
my
sons’
ages)
but
Brendan
and
Shane
do
really
know
what
they
are
doing
and
more
importantly,
they
know
how
to
work
with
their
target
audience
(and
beyond):
motivating
us,
pushing
us,
while
treating
us
like
family
and
making
it
“enjoyable”.
I
look
forward
to
my
twice
weekly
small
group
workouts
and
really
do
feel
better
afterwards.
I
encouraged
my
husband
and
son
to
give
it
a
try;
they
both
became
members.
I
realize
I
need
to
invest
in
myself
(in
both
time
and
money)
so
I
can
continue
to
remain
active
and
fend
off
aches
and
pains.
I
am
definitely
in
better
shape,
stronger,
and
more
flexible
today
in
spite
of
being
3.5
years
older!
