Apex
community
park
has
three
playgrounds
and
although
each
is
only
medium
sized,
together
they
make
for
a
really
nice
park
experience.
Off
the
Laura
Duncan
Road
entrance
is
a
small
play
structure
in
a
clearing.
It
has
a
nice
slide
but
no
swings
and
no
good
climbing
options
for
smaller
children.
However,
the
playground
is
close
to
bathrooms
and
a
short
trail
that
leads
to
a
creek,
great
for
rock
throwing.
The
second
and
third
playgrounds
are
in
the
back
of
the
park
near
the
sand
volleyball
and
tennis
courts.
The
traditional
playground
has
swings
and
slides
and
a
few
options
for
smaller
children.
The
third
playground
is
set
up
as
an
obstacle
course
and
it's
on
turf.
Although
most
of
the
challenges
are
aimed
at
older
climbers
younger
kids
really
enjoy
running
on
the
turf.
The
park
rangers
do
a
great
job
of
keeping
all
three
playgrounds
in
good
shape
and
fairly
clean.
