Terrible service… we left because our table never got ready! We waited for more than 30 minutes, we complained with the hostess, the manager, and they didn’t resolve anything! Some tables were empty, very very disorganized! The manager had an attitude and certainly doesn’t care about the clients… It was our first time and we are not coming back! (The only way to reply to the manager is here - First of all- I didn’t yelled at your 15 years hostess, usually she was sweet and tried to help, but she had no power to resolve the situation! We sat at the bar to wait and she went there to give me an update! We stayed about 30 minutes in there and decided to leave, because as per your comment I didn’t like your tone in person as well… online they say you guys don’t make reservations, so not really my fault! Your response as a professional manager should be an apologize, and not fighting back to a first time client AT ALL! I came from a place Italian Restaurants are top notch, and I feel disappointed with the service we received… and I am sorry but it’s my right to post a review!)

We are visiting family in the area. Our family raved about it, and we were excited to try it This was our first time to the restaurant. The service was amazing, and the food was spot on! We even found out that our server, Kim, and another employee are FSU Seminole fans, as are we. The food is made fresh in the restaurant. We had the cheese Ravioli and the Spinach and Shrimp Florentine. The bread and marinara that they bring to the table was phenomenal! We will definitely put this on our list when we visit the area again!

Wow this place was busy! Had to wait for a parking spot. We were lucky and got two spots at the bar. The bartender, Darrin, was quick and attentive to us while keeping up with all the drink orders. I had the Fettuccine Daniel. My wife had the Chicken Picata. Both of our meals were hearty and we couldn't finish them. I would have preferred the broccoli cut a little smaller. My wife loved hers. I would definitely recommend Daniels for anyone wanting great Italian food. We were too full to try any dessert but a couple near us ordered the jeloto and said it was very good. The interior decor is a little dated and could use a facelift. As we learned once we got there, they did take reservations.

We decided to come here to celebrate a birthday dinner and so happy we did! I always get nervous trying out new places for a special occasion but the reviews said this was a good spot and it didn’t lie! Everything was very fresh and tasted great! They bring out fresh bread with marinara, which is really good! The fettuccine Alfredo and penne alla vodka pasta were both very yummy. Good amount of sauce and creamy. We had great service too. Always attending our table and the food came out in a timely manner. Definitely made for a great spot to celebrate a birthday dinner

First time here! If you're looking for Cajun shrimp linguine with just the right Cajun seasonings (spicy but not burned in your mouth), this is the place. My other half had the lasagna and meatballs. Both very tasty. He loved it and he's full Italian so that's saying something.

Me and my sister ordered take-out from this restaurant. It was my first time getting food from this establishment and my sister told me it was really good. We ordered the pear salad with feta, calamari, penne Alla Vodka with blacken chicken, and Cajun shrimp pasta. The dinner came with bread and marinara sauce. First the bread was really good. The calamari was crispy, fresh, and absolutely delicious! I loved the breading and it was probably one of the best calamari I have ever had in my life. The pear salad with the feta, grape, candied pecans, and spring mix greens dressed with the raspberry vinaigrette WAS absolutely delicious! The salad normally comes with bleu cheese, but the feta was a great substitution. The shrimp Cajun pasta needed a little more salt and I think they should take out the black bean salsa. Overall, it was a good dish and the shrimp was really good, very slightly over-cooked, but good. The penne Alla vodka with the blacked chicken was absolutely delicious and I really like that dish. Overall, it was a good meal and would totally recommend this place for an Italian option.

The dining experience was positive overall. Despite our late arrival at 8:40pm, just before the restaurant's closing time of 9:00pm, the staff accommodated us without any hesitation. Our order, placed at 8:50pm, was served promptly. It was heartening to note the friendliness of the staff even during the closing hours. The food quality itself was commendable. The presence of a sizable crowd, even at such late hours, speaks volumes about the restaurant's popularity.

The food was extremely good. The service was slow. It was a very busy Saturday night with some large parties, so that could have been the cause. We always enjoy coming here.

This place is so incredible, the food, the service, everything. This is our second time eating there, first time dining in anywhere during the pandemic. We felt safe eating inside with the tables well spaced and staff properly masked. They had a great protocol in place with making a reservation and texting upon arrival, then they texted when your table was ready. We ordered a seafood bisque to share, it was delicious and filled with seafood chunks. Ordered 1 cocktail, a lemon mint gin something, it was interesting and delicious. For entrees, my husband got shrimp fettuccine Alfredo with added pancetta. It was a generous portion with a lot of shrimp and chunky pancetta. I ordered the lobster ravioli and added shrimp, that too was a generous portion and tasted amazing. The ravioli was nicely filled where you definitely knew it was lobster. For dessert we shared the zeppolis which were heavenly. They were hot, fluffy, and delicious. Our server was delightful and the manager visited a the tables to say hello and check up on our satisfaction. The prices were a good value and definitely worth it for the quality and quantity. It was a perfect dining experience.

Always great food and service at Daniel's. I'm partial because I worked for Danny when he first built this place. Very happy he succeeded here. Well deserved.

The food was very good, all 4 of us got something different and each pasta had great flavors and was very well seasoned. We got seated immediately and the service was top notch. This was our first time in Apex, and I would definitely recommend trying out this spot. Footnote: the bread and marinara were to die for.

This was our first visit here. It was our wedding anniversary and we wanted to go somewhere nice! A lot of friends recommended Daniel's, so we tried it out. I thought parking was going to be a thing. Our reservations were at 5pm and we didn't experience any parking issues. A nice surprise. The restaurant has a cozy feel to it. Dim lighting and a mellow atmosphere. We had a booth and were pleased that the booths have high walls. It made for a pleasant experience and made it easy to focus on the Mrs. Our food was delicious! We both had the Fettuccine Daniel. The walnuts were interesting and added to the dish. We had a half bottle of chianti classico which reminded us of our trip to Italy! The tiramisu was awesome! Two chocolate pieces on the sides made it extra delicious! Our server was excellent. He was attentive and helpful. We will absolutely come back. Great experience!

My wife and I have been coming to Daniel's for years. We always have great service. As other reviews have mentioned, it is very dark inside but once your eyes adjust, it is a very nice dining atmosphere. The decadent chocolate brownie dessert is a must.

We were lucky to order from Daniels for New Years Eve for take out. The service was great, they accommodated my request for whole wheat pasta. The food was hot when we arrived and everything was fantastic. Strongly recommend the double chocolate brownie for dessert 😋

Very good Italy restaurant, the best shrimp spaghetti I had, absolutely delicious! The server told us the mussels soup is delicious, we dipped bread with the mussels soup, so yum! We ordered the wine for the dinner as well, it tasted so good as well. Although they are busy the service still good! What a great choice to have birthday dinner here!Definitely will come back again!

What a wonderful place. The food was fantastic, very tasty. Had the Cajun Shrimp which was not too spicy. The pear, grape, and pecan salad was so good with just the right amount of dressing. The foccaci was yummy, and the drinks were good, although I would have preferred colder. Great atmosphere and only 5 mins for a table. Mateo was a very polite server who took very good care of us. Thank you!

We drove in front of the place several times and it was packed!!! We were very excited to try it. The day came and we went for lunch, looks like they only had 3 servers at the time, we wait like 7 minutes to the waitress to notice that we wanted to give them our money, 6 minutes later she take us to our table, the floor was kind of greasy and the table not super clean. I need to say the server was super kind but she was taking care of 5 or 6 tables at the time, the attention wasn't the best for a restaurant that charges like them. I wanted a carbonara in an Italian restaurant but soon I discovered they they DON'T sell carbonara, So I ordered an fettuccine Alfredo that is was super garlicky flavor, I like garlic but an Alfredo should taste like an Alfredo, they don't offer fresh Parmigiano cheese and for a $22 dolars for a plate of pasta I expect more, if you want to overpriced "italian" food that's the place to go, we'll never come back.

Daniels is very popular and now I know why. First of all, the parking lot was very crowded as they do a tremendous take out business. We made a reservation and were seated promptly. Quality of the seating is why I rated them 4 stars instead of 5. Four of us were seated at a booth meant for 2. None of the booths appear to be large enough to seat 4 people comfortably. Also, the edge of the bench seat was broken and the cushions were no longer cushiony. Now for the great part. The food was amazing. They specialize in central Italian foods, with use of heavier tomato based sauces and creams. We had the calamari appetizer which was perfect, lightly fried with a spicy marinara dipping sauce. We also had the arancini which are crispy balls of rice and cheese. For entrees, the house specialty ziti comes with an excellent pink sauce that is complemented with fresh garlic and sun dried tomatoes. the chicken was seared and sliced very thin into the pasta. The veal parmesan was great, generous serving, crispy fried on a plate of pasta with just enough sauce. It was not flooded with gravy and was more than enough. There are several shellfish options and we tried the pasta with clams, mussels and calamari. You can pick your choice of mild, medium or hot, which decides how much crushed red is added. Medium was just right. Now for my other passion: the wine list is extensive and pricing was fair on bottles. They have a full selection of wines from across the spectrum and their choices in Italian wines, especially Piemonte region was outstanding. The wines by the glass were not top notch, but who opens great bottles to sell by the glass. Service was a little slow, but they were busy. We will come again and hope for better seating. Ottimo cibo e vino!

I am so glad I finally tried this place. They're exactly what I've been looking for. Good, traditional recipes prepared with pride. The veal franchaise was perfectly prepared with a wonderfully balanced sauce. The marinara and meat sauce are both deep in color and rich in flavor. I'm quite sure they both were prepared with red wine, which I love. After walking past the dessert case and seeing the heaping mounds of homemade whipped cream and finding out they're all homemade, including the tiramisu, I of course had to take home some sweets, all of which were wonderful. The vibe is very nice, traditional and family friendly and my server, Kim, was exceptional. She was welcoming, efficient, took her time to answer all my questions, and spoke of the menu items with great knowledge and genuine enthusiasm. I can't wait to return for another wonderful experience.

Really good! The complementary bread was fresh, soft and delicious with the house made marinara. I had a ceasar salad that was really well done with house made croutons that had a nice seasoning on them. For the entrée I had the lasagna with meat sauce and it was fantastic and such a big portion! Nice and cheesy, and full of flavor. For dessert I had the creme Brule that was decent. Probably the only underwhelming part of the meal, but still good!

First time coming here - amazing experience. Joshua was our waiter and was great. He was very detailed and attentive. Explained each item on the chefs menu and answered all of our questions. All of our food came out hot and fresh. Very happy all around and will for sure be back. A++

Went looking for a place to eat near my mother-in-law's new apartment and came across Daniel's. Menu looked good and I hadn't had Italian for my bday yet. All I can say is FABULOUS! Scott too wonderful care of us, was personable and made good recommendations. I have never seen a Lasagna so big! The Southwest Ravioli sounded interesting and was really good. Scott recommended blackened chicken which set it off and I ask for mozzarella on top. The bay scallop special was even good the second time around. They have all sorts of deserts that are good and I need to try. I will be back and taking my mom for the lasagna is a must!

Tremendous dining experience at Daniel's Restaurant in Apex. Had the healthy and delicious cranberry salad followed by the scrumptious Fettuccini Daniel's: Fettuccine, checken, broccoli, walnuts with Alfredo cream sauce. Jess our server was pleasant, attentive and engaging. Great job Daniel's!

Very nice fine dining place for a group or date. Parking is generally almost always full so plan accordingly. Garlic Bread (5/5): One of the best garlic bread i have had! Other than garlic, you can also taste other mild spices. Baked to perfection. Warm Brie (5/5): Brie exceeded my expectations. Definitely worth a try when you are here. Cheese with cracker and grape was a great combination and complemented each other. Mozzarella Sticks (4/5): Sticks had crunchy layer from outside. Little more salt in the batter would make this a perfect dish. Baked Ziti (4/5): I had baked ziti with veggies. The cheesiness was great on the top and flavors were also just about right. It could have been baked a little longer I thought as some pasta at the bottom could have used more baking time. Not a big deal though. Overall (5/5): Great place, service and food. I would definitely be back again when in town.

Excellent experience, as always! It's been years since we've been in, but everything was as perfect as we remembered. It was busy when we arrived, but I'd made reservations a week in advance (and even received a text confirmation! Awesome!) so we were seated right away. All staff were kind, helpful, and professional. Our server Josh was especially knowledgeable and seemed personally committed to ensuring our table of four had a great experience. Every single dish was delicious, beautifully prepared, served at just the right temperature, and had a lovely harmony of flavors and textures. Drinks and desserts were great. The servings were even larger than we remembered, as each entree could easily be at least two (if not three) meals, so we all have leftovers for at least another day! We were shocked at how low the overall price was! We paid $180 with tax (before the gratuity) for 1 appetizer, 5 drinks, 4 soups/salads, 5 entrées, and 4 desserts!!! Plus with how large the portions were, we all have enough leftovers for dinner tomorrow. A truly incredible value. Only downsides: dedicated parking lot was tight (even for a 5:30pm dinner!), and the tables were a bit on the small side (could barely fit everything for the delicious feast!). Honestly, not real issues, and not sure anything can be done about these things, but I wanted to be comprehensive. Our server Josh was extra good about bussing the table during the meal so we'd have as much space as possible. Thanks for an awesome dining experience!

Been passing Daniel's since I moved to this area and I finally had a chance to stop in for lunch. I was warmly greeted as I stepped inside and sent to a table. It took a while for the waitress to come to my table and I thought I was being ignored, however this was not the case as I found out that she was the only waitress for the entire section that had about six tables. She made her way over to me and took my order. I decided to get the lasagna that was a lunch special. A part of the lunch special was their fresh bread and a choice of salad. I went with their garden salad that came with a choice of dressing. I got their creamy vinaigrette that was delicious. What was even more delicious was their lasagna! Omg! Every bite was just so good-- a generous portion of fresh ricotta cheese, Beef, lasagna, all topped with marinara sauce. Oh wow! This is some of the best lasagna I have tried state side! Even better was the price of just $10--and this is every day that they have a rotating lunch special! Such a great deal for great food! Go!

This place was AMAZING! We were in last night & they were able to accommodate a table for 10. The food and service was GREAT! We took my sister in law for her birthday & don’t regret it! We will be back!

Soooo yummy! Decided to go here with family after hearing great things about this place and we loved it! Great Italian food! I got the Alfredo pasta with shrimp and a side Caesar salad; it was delicious! We all loved it and will be back!

It was great! Everything about the place was amazing. My only complaint would be the wait, but that was hardly anything to complain about because there were a lot of people there and we had a decent sized party. They cook most of the food and desserts fresh specifically for you, which explains a good bit of the wait. Our waitress, Alexa, was wonderful. She noticed our food wasn't out and mentioned it to us and within five minutes it was on our table. The gluten free options were amazing, and they had some good gluten free desserts too.

Great food.. have tried the Chicken and egg plant parmesan. The vodka sauce pasta dishes are excellent. Drinks could be better on varieties (not the wines but the cocktails)
