I wanted to say that the people who say that the pizza is tasteless, girl get new taste buds. also new york style pizza is supposed to be thin crust. go to chicago if you want thick pizza! lastly, to the lady who made a comment about the restaurant being closed and did not warn their customers, you forgot to mention that there was a sign on the door saying why they were closed. they were burying the patriarch of their family sadly and did not have time to change the recording on their machine. why don’t we all try to be nice to family owned businesses and stop spreading hate!! restaurant owners are people too and they try their best!!!

I am from NJ and have searched far and wide for good pizza,THIS IS THE PLACE. Fantastic pizza and absolutely phenomenal customer service. I had an allergy issue with an ingredient I didn’t realize was on a pizza and they very quickly and kindly helped me get a replacement pizza! Every time I’ve been here the staff is chipper and kind and I truly could not recommend another pizza place in the area because they just don’t compare. Thank you for the great food and making me feel a little closer to home every time I order!

Down home feel. Wonderful service, great food. We have never had a bad experience. Recently we went to Ruckus in Apex and both times we were completely ignored, so we got up and left. No discussion needed, we headed straight to J&S. So glad we have this wonderful family owned restaurant right here in Apex!

Normally really love this place, especially since it’s one of the few places that delivers to us. But lately it’s been hit or miss with the pizza being burnt and tonight it was burnt to a crisp. I can’t believe they actually boxed and served this- crust was rock solid.

Love this place !!!! I have certain allergies to food and they cater to my every need. They care about their customers and make them feel at home. Everything is made fresh. It might take a little bit longer, but perfection takes time… I truly appreciate the staff and the sweet family that owns it. My favorite dish is Josephine ‘s lasagna y’all need to try it And have a margarita while you’re waiting yummy

We used to order from here all the time. The past 2 times we have, it’s been an AWFUL experience. We ordered delivery a few months ago & they told us 45 to an hour wait. When they didn’t show up an hour and a half after I ordered, I called back & they said they didn’t input my order correctly into the system. So it hadn’t even been processed. They only offered me half off my order & we still had to wait 30 minutes for the pizza to come. Tonight, I decided to give them a second chance because the last time was the first time we ever had any issues! We ordered pizza for carry out. Apparently they have a new system where you order online. So we placed our order online, paid, tipped, and showed up at the Apex location only to find out it’s CLOSED today! No where in the voice mail, online, anywhere did it say they were closed. And my order went through, so my card was charged $60!! If you’re closing the restaurant - why wouldn’t you make sure your customers can’t place an order online on that day? I would hate to be someone waiting for delivery right now. I don’t have any way of contacting the restaurant since their phone now goes to voicemail & you can’t leave voicemails, so I’ll have dispute the charge with my bank. Safe to say, I’m done ordering from y’all.

This is authentic Italian! The owners speak in Italian and it's cool to hear. The pizza was delicious and the service was great. Very clean and nice atmosphere. They also have a bar and live music.

This pizza reminds me so much of NJ pizza. The crust is crunchy and soft at the same time, lots of gooey cheese and no shortage of toppings. I stopped in for a lunch date with my 4 year old after letting him run around happy feet for two hours so of course he was hungry and exhausted. We were greeted right away and got our root beers right away. Our waitress was wonderful and so good with my son. She had just the right amount of attentiveness for us even while juggling other tables. She offered to cut his pizza to a more manageable size and even topped off his little drink for our long ride home. This place is great and the pizza good and I’ll be back as much as I can. Thank you for giving a mom and her little the perfect lunch date

Food: 10/10 Appealing to look at, authentic, great food overall. Love the marinara sauce and great meat to pasta ratio. Price: 2/3 slightly expensive Wait Time: 5/10 Good food takes time. Understandable. Customer service: 1/10 Our wait(er/ress) didn’t begin to serve us until my family called them over, forgot about our requests or took an unreasonable amount of time to accomplish several times, and got a part of our order wrong. Side Note to Owner/Manager: Tell all waiters/waitresses to get non-slip shoes. There was non-stop squeaking, and it is unsafe.

Got a Sicilian pizza and calzone with spinach. I have had "Sicilian" pizzas at other places but they are usually not made correctly. There was a pizza place that closed many years ago that made a great authentic Sicilian pizza. I have not found a place that comes close until trying the one here. It was very good. We enjoyed the calzone as well

I'm from long island. One thing I miss the most when I travel for work is the food. This place makes a great pie. Any one star reviews don't know what they are talking about. Good job j and s. White slice with spinach tonight, phenomenal. Go there it is fantastic.

We ordered several pizzas for my daughters graduation and everyone loved them! We were thrilled with the ease of ordering, the friendliness of the workers and the tastiness of the pizza! We will be back!

Love their food. They are very popular and can get really busy. So order ahead of schedule. Tonight it was the supreme stromboli. Excellant as always,

We order from J & S at least 3 times a month. We are from NY and the food is delicious. Tonight we ordered for Monday night football and requested our order be delivered AFTER 8pm. Our pizza was delivered at 7:02. The reason we asked for the delay is because we are having friends over to watch and wanted hot pizza. I called the store and they realized what happened. They offered to come back to pick up the early pie 😳 and deliver a new one at the correct time. A few red flags there, first since they can’t resell our pizza why did they want it back? Or are they going to stick it in the warmer until 8 and then deliver a hot but not fresh pizza. The second red flag is the horror you hear when you do point out an issue and the food is remade or redelivered. We decided to cancel our $32.00 18” pie due to the fact that we didn’t know what we were going to get. This isn’t the first delivery issue we’ve had but likely the last time we will order here.

My Dad took me here for my 62nd birthday. I''m a vegetarian so of course, I got a Veggie pizza. My Dad is pretty open minded but is a meat lover and had never had a veggie pizza in his life. It was the best veggie pizza I've ever had, if not the best pizza ever...I haven't always been a vegetarian. My Dad loved it and commented on how good it was. He didn't miss the meat at all. I had high hopes for a good pizza and got a fantastic one! Not the most exciting ambiance, but I was there for the pizza!

I enjoyed two slices of NY style pizza. I had them cook it well done and cut each slice additionally down the middle cos they're so huge. I don't like to fold them over in half like NYers do. Very crispy although the onions couldn't have been cooked a little longer. The elder Italian lady wasn't very welcoming. I don't know if it was cos I was by myself or that she doesn't like women wearing a baseball hat, but it was very off putting. They also had Fox noise on the TV spewing their fake information to feed the fires of the raid right wingers. Don't think I'll be returning anytime soon.

We headed here after talking the kids to Happy Feet Planet. I wish we could have given more than 5 stars for service. Great little neighborhood pizza joint.

Pizza is great! Also wanna say their customer service is amazing! I had placed an order over the phone & had my kids with me when I went to pick it up, they had fell asleep, didn’t want to wake them so the workers were kind enough to bring to my car! Thank you so much!

Just wandered in while traveling. So glad I did. It has a traditional NY style pizza place feel. They do by the slice and saw the stuffed pizza. It was fantastic! 1 slice was plenty for me and I'm a big guy! Next time I'm in the area I will be looking to visit again.

First of all, Katie Scibior. They werent open because they were burying the founder of J and S. You need to have more respect towards restaurants and think about what your gonna say before you write rude reviews like that. You could have contacted them the following day to voice your concerns. Be more aware next time. Thanks.

Delivery took nearly 3 hours to arrive on a Sunday. Ordered at 5:15 so not typical rush hours. The poor delivery boy even said he was wondering why they didn't send it sooner. It was cold and too chewy to eat. Cheap hardened cheese too.

First visit, used take-out. The lasagna is wonderful with a rich meat 'gravy' & a Big serving. The fettuccine alfredo has the BEST cream sauce. I purchased the meal for two which includes 2 entrees, 2 salads/or 1 appetizer & 2 desserts for $45. A great value with the oppty to try a cross-section at once. The Tiramisu is light & flavorful, a must. A friendly family owned business in an Apex shopping center on HWY 55 close to US-1. Will be back. Note: they DO deliver but not sure the distance they travel. (but surrounded by lots of residential).

Had a delicious and filling meatball sandwich for lunch. Meatballs were really tasty and the bread was nice and fresh. Sauce was authentic too. They now have a nicely decorated bar... Sweet!

Awesome experience and food tonight! Jordan was an excellent server. Super friendly and knowledgeable. Will definitely come back to see him and eat here again. Thanks!

Disappointing. Guy who took our drinks claimed that taking food orders was somebody else's job. 10 minutes later, he was back for our food order. We ordered slices since we thought that would be quick. The slices took over 30 minutes to get. The "server" was absolutely uninterested in us being there. One of my slices was completely soggy. The other was hard. General review: the staff at this place need to be reminded of the expectations of working at a restaurant. Probably never returning.

The service was mediocre at best. Took home a med cheese pizza and meatballs. Food was bland and flavorless. I mean pizza is pizza. Even bad pizza is still good pizza. That was not the case here. Do they even know how to use some seasoning? I will not be back.

Normally have had good pies with a good amount of toppings before, but last night I ordered a small pie for take out and when I got home I found that half the crust was cooked and the other half was blonde looking. Like they didn't turn the pie in the oven. Extremely weak on the sauce and the cheese. Sauce was left a good inch from the crust edge. Literally the worst pie I've had from any place. Called and complained and they apologized and offered a new pie however I didn't feel like driving back or waiting to eat. They should have taken my name and offered a free pie on my next order. I doubt I'll go back again even though past experiences have been good.

The server left her phone in my pizza when she delivered it to me. Good pizza, friendly environment, and a free iPhone! Shout out to the waitress that served me and my family.

Had the Calzone with ham. Great flavor LOADED with cheese. Ham was just lunch meat was okay . Marinara was good. Serving size will feed two maybe three people. Great service. Will stop again.

Salads are fresh, bread is served warm and pasta dishes are yummy. Entrees are more than we can eat in one sitting.

I wanted so badly to love this place. We ordered pizza and some appetizers last night. The apps were delicious (fried ravioli and garlic knots) however, the pizza was such a disappointment. As a Jersey girl, I love thin crust NY style pizza- this pizza was translucent. You could hold it up to the light and see through it. There was barely any sauce or cheese on it either. This pizza should have never left the kitchen. I love supporting local businesses, but this one left much to be desired.
