Absolutely outstanding customer service and knowledge. Had a car with an unknown amount of work done to it really throwing me through a loop. Called and talked with the service writer and he got me in contact with Kevin. After discussing what the car was doing and going through the list of what we knew had been modified, Kevin responded with a spot on diagnosis. We got the parts and BOOM! Problem solved. Not only did he lead us in the right direction but he saved us from spending about $2700 for a simple software/hardware compatability issue.

These guys are class. I plan on returning for regular service appointments and a few upgrades. Daniel kept me up to date about what was going on with my car and I felt like these guys care about what they do. 10/10 definitely recommend them for VW/Audi service.

Absolutely awesome staff to work with. I have had my MK6 GTI there for several items from modifications, to preventative maintenance, to repairs, and every time the staff have been extremely helpful, very friendly, and very communicative about what my options are and their costs. My least favorite thing in the world is being quoted one cost and then having a completely different bill, and that has never once been an issue here. I'm someone who always prefers to work on my vehicles myself, but the times I've needed professional assistance I've always felt that I was in good hands with Apex Tuning. Could not recommend them highly enough.

AWESOME PLACE. These guys are what you want if you need help with your VW product. They service our 2013 EOS. They are friendly, honest and happy to answer all questions. Their prices are very reasonable. They are very flexible and are happy to share their knowledge about anything related to your car. This is the only place we take our EOS. My last visit was a DIY issue...and they just helped me out. Hard to find this kind of service any more.

To put it simply, these guys are awesome. The transmission went out in my Passat TDI a month after I bought it and Apex Tuning came to the rescue. Daniel was a huge help and kept an open line of communication along the way which made things so much easier too. Between fair rates, quality of work, and straightforwardness I highly recommend Apex Tuning and will be giving them my business in the future. My experience was great. They had great communication and used there knowledge to explain exactly what is wrong with my car and why. Also got the work done pretty quick and were accurate with the pickup date. Definitely will be going back for anything I need done with my car.

I will never go elsewhere for my VW! I had an emergency (failing brakes with unclear root as to why and therefore how to fix). I was able ti bring my passat in asap, they diagnosed that day and were able to fix amongst their other customers also same day. I am ever so appreciative! These guys are not only incredibly friendly, accommodating and reasonable but also swift in getting the work done efficiently while educating you along the way!

Apex recently installed some parts I had previously purchased but had been unable to install myself. They were up front about installing outside parts. They responded promptly to emails and questions. They provided great feedback and made suggestions that worked out perfectly. They pointed me in the direction of a great tire vendor in their vicinity and facilitated that while in the shop. All of this was done over email and on a time frame that was immovable as I live about 2 hours from the shop, and we based the timeline on flights out of RDU. Work done: Install a suspension lift on a 2015 Golf Sportwagen, replaced shocks and shock hardware, performed a Stage 2 TDI tune. I will not hesitate to use them again for further work on our Volkswagen and will recommend to anyone that asks.

I visited Apex for a sit down on having my Audi S6 tuned. The staff were knowledgeable, courteous and passionate about tuning. I'm currently awaiting the expiration of my warranty at which point we shall see if Apex can convert my Audi S6 into CERERUS, The Super S6. Wil update UPDATE: Apex did a GREAT JOB on my brakes and rotors, no complaints. However with regard to the modifications, they FIRED THEMSELVES. They took issues with me purchasing my own gear. Mind yiu I saved a BUTTLOAD of cash by NOT paying shipping AND with military discounts. This was to be a $6 or $7k project. But for the sake of a few bucks they tanked it. I'm not one to tell anyone how to run THEIR business. But being a business owner myself, I certainly wouldn't allow myself to be fired from a job over a few bucks. I have been coming to Apex Tuning for 14 years, since 2009, when I moved to the Triangle. Brought my Rabbit in for a trans fluid change on the 10th as a first time customer and the techs did a great job to the service needed and found a another problem I didn't realize was going on that was missed by the competitors. This is the place to come for service on air-cooled Volkswagens! I looked all over the Triangle for a place to bring my 1970 VW Beetle. I'm a new VW owner, and I needed help tuning the engine. Josh was super friendly. He took time to figure out my car and its engine, did quality work to get it running right, and shared a bunch of advice to help me continue its maintenance. 10/10, I'll come back next time I need help.

Both Kevin’s helped me a ton with my unitronic tune on my Audi A3 I got done here over 9 months ago. It is a super professional business and great if you are looking for any help with German manufactured cars. Wouldn’t recommend anyone else.

I’m not from this area, and developed an oil leak and water leak. Apex Tuning repaired the leaks successfully!! I continued on my way and had a problem with the boost pipe, it came off in Wv I put it back on and tightened it up the best I could enough to finish my journey. I came back to the area and told the folks at Apex about what happened and they made it right.. This time my fuel door would not open so they fixed that problem also and, I only had to pay for the part no labor charge because of the issue I had in Wv.This kind of service is not realistic in the world today, most companies would not care or ever make it right the way Daniel and Kevin did. If you own a VW or Audi you should only use Apex Tuning!! They stand behind their work..

I have a 09 passat with a 2.0t I needed the timing chain and related things replaced. Right from the start everyone was friendly and helpful. They had my car done in a day. And the cost is reasonable. I will definitely bring this car and my atlas here for future service.

I have been driving about a hour for services on my mk6 tdi for going on two years now. From tuning to simple oil services these guys go above and beyond for me. I appreciate the work they do and the love they share for Volkswagen/audi like I do. I recommend them every chance I get.

If I could give zero stars I would. I’m a faithful customer to Black Forest Technik and had to come to Apex Tuning as I had an emergent check engine light and BFT couldn’t see me immediately. The one time I go to another mechanic, I’m told that much under my hood regarding the spark plugs were tampered with in a way that would need DOUBLE the amount of fixing and funds to fix. I was spoken to by Daniel in a disgusting, classless and unprofessional manner, being told I’m inconveniencing him by telling him this and by choosing the mechanic I’ve been seeing for 3+ years instead of them, as I’ve NEVER had an issue with any of their work on my multiple vehicles. Apex has a huge reputation for worsening fixes to do more and charge you more lol I will never waste my time at this shady business ever again. The bold disrespect over the phone is one thing, but battering my car for more money is just unethical, pathetic and desperate.

Apex Tuning is hands down a fantastic place to have work done to your car. I brought in my sportwagen for transmission service, transmission tuning, and some Stage 2 tuning to liven it up a bit. Let me tell you, these guys did not disappoint. My car felt almost undrivable due to the dreaded DSG lag, but after tuning it is all but gone. I messaged/called Kevin and Daniel quite a bit to get information on everything and they were polite, cordial, and helpful everytime all the way through to the end of service. I really want to thank all of the guys at Apex Tuning for making my sportwagen an absolute blast to drive again. I'll not hesitate to come back for any of my needs.

I have a modified VW GTI and would never take my car anywhere else for VW repairs. The team is a leader in the industry, performs quality work with a warranty they stand behind. When I had a repair part fail they owned it and fixed it without attitude or pushback for free. Any serious VW owner should make Apex Tuning their goto shop.

Outstanding! Real car guys and it shows. Extremely knowledgeable and customer focused. Came without an appointment and they agreed look at my Audi. Fixed by next day for a fair price.I was so impressed that I had them perform a Unitronic ECU 1+ tune. I absolutely love it.

In Raleigh for the Fourth of July weekend visiting from NY. Had brake pad sensor light come on our Q5 over the weekend. Apex Tuning was 2 blocks from where we were staying I brought the car in first thing Monday explained what had happened and that we were leaving Tuesday morning. Kevin and his staff got our car right in and inspected the brakes. Replaced the rear pads and rotors by lunchtime. Charged a reasonable rate. Part 2 Drove the Q5 all day Monday and the brake pad warning light came back on. Brought it back Tuesday morning checked it and determined faulty sensor. Replaced the sensor for free and repaired it in an hour and half. Great place honest repair shop. I appreciated the response to our situation as well as the quickness of the repairs.

I brought my Audi in for an oil change and tire rotation. The price was more reasonable than the dealer. I had an appt and it took 1-1/2 hours. All of that was fine. However they didn’t reset my tire pressure gauge and enter the pressures into the system which leaves the “check pressure” light on on my dashboard. No big deal. So I called and left a message asking if I could stop by for them to do that. I never heard back. I called again a few days later and again never heard back. After 2 weeks I had to go to another auto shop to have it taken care of. I wasn’t upset that it wasn’t done in the first place like it should have been. However, to have 2 unreturned calls is very disappointing. That’s not something I’d expect of a place that has the high reviews that it does.

Great service and very knowledgeable! I brought my VW MK6 GTI in to have it tuned and they found a boost leak that I was unaware of and pinpointed the source. Looking forward to working with these guys again in the near future! Thanks again!

First time here for my 2012 Audi and won’t be the last. Kevin #1 as the service rep and Jaylen as the technician were great. Fixed a coolant leak from cross pipe and replaced the vacuum pump due to oil leak. Knowledgeable, good service, and reasonable price.
