I found 53 boxes and multiple notebooks of family slides, videos and audio tapes during my sorting through my parents' house after they died. My siblings and I had never seen or heard any of these precious records of our family life. I researched on the web and almost shipped things away to have them digitized. I am so glad I didn't. I found Home Video Studio-Apex and trundled my family's treasure trove (2800 slides in all) to Brooke and Jack. They did a fantastic job. Their work was careful, everything was labeled correctly, the resulting digital product was incredible. I have cassettes from the 80's & 90's that are very special to me, so I wanted them digitized in order to preserve the songs. 621 Productions in Apex was recommended by a local musician, and I found them to be responsive and pleasant to work with. Their prices were fair, and the job was done earlier than promised. I definitely recommend them.

They digitized some vhs tapes for me a few years ago and I was very happy with the results. I recently dropped off ~800 slides to be digitized and they gave me a nice bulk discount. I’ll post another review when I pick them up.

They have done two major projects for me and for each of them they provided excellent results in a timely and reasonably-priced fashion, along with answering all my questions and discussing many issues and helping me to decide how to proceed. Their attention to detail and ensuring the best quality product is impressive. As a result, my children and I have flash drives with family memories from (1) 5417 negatives from my film camera from the 1970's until it was retired a number of years ago (organized in folders and with the option of re-organizing and labeling) and (2) videos spanning 70 years, which descended from black-and-white film from the 1930's transferred to old videos which were transferred to newer videos.

I recently found 621 Productions after a quick search. I was in need of getting an audio clip off an old DVD. While there, it was suggested I also have a digital copy made of the entire DVD. The process was easy and reasonably priced. Further, the turn around time was very quick and less than quoted. And to top it off, the shop is like a museum with all the old AV equipment on display. Highly recommended for your AV conversion needs!

AWESOME. When I first began my search for a video converting service, I was not having any luck finding a good place in the Triangle. When I came across the Home Video Studio in Apex, I was uncertain. The website looks outdated and isn't easy to maneuver, but I found that the service is out of this world. I had 10 mini DV cassettes from the early 2000s, some were damaged and I was unsure what was on each one. But when I picked up my DVDs (a week sooner than expected) I was greeted with a smile and a 'gift bag' ready to go. The communication with this company is outstanding, the services they offer are great, they convert nearly everything. More than the average person will probably use.

They took all my old video tapes, Beta, VHS, VHS-C, 8mm and converted them into MP4 files on a USB drive. On another occasion, they scanned all my parent's old photo albums into jpegs. Both tasks I could have done myself, but in my heart, I know I wouldn't take the time to do it. Well worth the cost to have them do it.

I appreciate that they have PAL tape conversions! Converting a lot of tapes can be pricey but keeping your memories safe is priceless, I didn’t want to ship them off somewhere and the job was done quickly.

Thank goodness for Home Video Studio! I originally sent my tapes to legecybox and was quickly disappointed ! They didn't complete the conversions and stated one very important tape of my sons first few weeks was damaged and unrecoverable. I took my tape to Home Video Studio and they were able to get all the tape transferred to DVD! Best Mother's Day gift. I will take all my business to them for now on.

I have done business with Sharon and Peter, on multiple occasions, and have always had great experiences. In particular, I have had them convert very old 8mm film to digital. I will continue to come back to them (even though I need to drive a bit of a distance to their location). I highly recommend that if you are considering turning over your precious memories in the form of film and video tape (and who doesn't worry about that?) for them to convert, you can trust them with your valuable keepsakes. 621 Productions is INCREDIBLE. Not only were they able to digitize 20+ year old VHS tapes of mine I thought were doomed, but they did it with extraordinary care. My father passed away and all I could think about was being able to see him again, but all I had was a VHS recording. 621 Productions made me a priority and did an excellent job with the conversion. During a recent, personal undertaking of transferring several home movie VHS tapes, 9 mm films, slides, and 3.5 inch floppy media to digital format; I ran into the issue of not having the correct devices required. I took to the web and Google searched for small businesses with good ratings for help. Sure the big retailers and drug stores can do the same thing, but the prices I found were about the same and shipping was not required. WHAT A GIFT!!!! Getting my 30+ year old dance videos transferred has been such a gift.
