Such a beautiful place to walk. Nice easy trails and really scenic around the lake! Some of the unpaved trails are worth taking to take in the beautiful fall colors. Seen lots of families taking family photos with the gorgeous backdrop. Would highly recommend!! 👍

Beautiful park with tons of accessible walking trails. They also have a lovely pavilion for weddings, family gatherings, etc. check out the camper cabins available for rent too! Great for: running, dog walking, family gathering, free hiking.

Beautiful park and trail. Lots of open area and prairie. Part of the trail goes by a farm plot and it can get muddy. The conifer area by the camp lodges are not worth the trip over there, as they are doing a restoration and there's trash all around the campsites. The lake and boardwalk was the highlight of the entire park. I highly recommend it.

I love this park. It’s one of my favorites to hikes. Pine trees, rolling hills, and something flew everyone. Wonderful in the winter too. Xc ski trails, a sledding hill for the kids, and hiking too.

One of my favorite hiking parks. They have put a lot of resources into developing this park from the wonderful wooded boardwalk over the wetland to the wide mowed turf trails throughout the park. Very nice bathroom and picnic facilities as well and children's play area round out this family friendly park. They even have an EV charging station! I honestly don't know why this park isn't more popular.

Excellent nature views. Perfect camping spot if you don't wanna go all out tent and sleeping bag. They also have a bonfire, shower and serviced bathrooms. Fun for all ages!

What a great spot for a mini stay-cation! You'll feel like you're in the middle of nowhere instead of just outside the Twin Cities. Both prairie and pine cabins are great in their own ways but if you need some room for your group to run around, opt for the prairie cabin but also be aware that those ones are a bit further from the main restroom but do have a vault toilet.

Wow! Very impressed by this park. Great picnic area and paved trail around the lake, even a boardwalk. The non paved trails were we'll maintained as well and even stroller friendly. The eco playground was a big hit with many kids.

A gem of the county and state, to say the least. This place is FANTASTIC. From parking lot, to amenities, to trails: this park hits every mark and then some. I would love to shake the hand of whoever designed this park. It is walkable, informative, aesthetically planned, and scenic. Some of the paths are fully paved, so strollers wheelchairs, etc could be safely used. Others are not paved but well maintained and cleanly labelled as to where they lead. The views are stunning and I would love to see a sunset here some time! Visit this park if you haven't already!

This was a trip to remember. The cabins are the most well designed and engineered cabins I have ever seen. They look really small but they can sleep 6 people (2 full size bunk beds and 1 sofa bed). They have a dining table that 4 can sit around. There's a fire pit outside, a balcony inside and just in general it was a pleasure to stay here. The bathroom is a half minute walk and clean (like a malls bathroom). The experience is pretty epic.

What a great park in the shadow of the twin city metro. Well maintained trails, bathrooms, and a kids nature play area. If you're lucky, you can see a sun rise like i woke up to after staying in one of the camper cabins.

I would recommend this park for any occasion. It's beautiful and the kitchen is great! Huge fridge, sink and easy to clean. Everything needed to clean is provided with the exception of wash cloth/sponge.

This was my first time to the park. We just walked the lake perimeter on the paved trail on a gorgeous Easter Sunday afternoon. Although the ski trails were still marked it was clear that skiing was over. However, there were significant icy parts that dissuaded trying the off-paved trails. This is going to be an incredible park to explore when the greenery starts coming in. I will definitely be back to check out the off paved trails in the near future. My one disappointment was that there were no open bathroom facilities nor any primitive toilets at the main trailhead.

Great park! The trails are amazing and a pretty easy walk and the kiddos love the natural playground areas!

First time at the park. My first impressions are that it is huge and they also offer year-round camping in their cabins, which is a huge draw for me. In the winter the park offers a sledding hill, skiing (which you'll need to pay for a pass to use) and lots of trails to explore that are well maintained. Definitely worth a drive out to visit and explore!!

This is a pretty cool place! I was just there for Music In The Park, so I didn't get around a ton, but seemed really big! Beautiful, peaceful, unique places for kids to play and many pathways to walk.

Whitetail Woods Regional park was a good surprise. We did a winter outing. Family had a good time. Nice hill for down sleding with blocked off section on both sides to walk up safety. Nice trails for waking. And if you get a little bit chilly, there is a fire place to warm up.

We recently got married here. Great experience overall. Only complaint was I was supposed to get an email with the lock code to the pavilion kitchen the day of our wedding. We couldn't get a hold of anyone in the office and the email never came. Luckily we saw someone who worked there and they were able to open it for us. Ended up being a perfect day. Inexpensive venue to hold a wedding.
