THE BEST dog park I have been to in Colorado, possibly the country. If your fur baby loves to swim then this is their jam. It's only $3 bucks for the day until noon the next day. They provide poop bags all around the park. The paths are well maintained and lots of sand throughout the creek bed area. Your dog will love you if you take them here, I know mine does. Woof 🐕

Being a dog parent is easier when you have places like this so close to home! Buy a pass because you’ll be coming back again and again so easy to wear them out here!

It almost made us sad to come here with our pup, knowing we have nothing that compares to this paradise back home in Montreal. It was amazing to see dogs of all sizes and breeds walking around with their owners living their best lives! There is an admission fee ($3), we had to use the self-service kiosk because there were no attendants when we arrived. We did park on a neighbouring street off Orchard Ave, so we were able to avoid the parking fee of $11. We walked the entire perimeter of the park (~90 minutes) at a relaxed pace. There's an assortment of different obstacles, as well as different trails. Our pup adored cooling off in the stream towards the end of the circuit...there's many access points, so we'd pick a quieter one next time! We'll definitely be back several times during our stay in Denver!

Pretty awesome dog open space. There are miles of dog paths, with river access, and fun dog playground equipment. A must visit for dog owners.

Such a great place for small and large dogs alike. Water is usually available depending on the weather. My dog, Buddy, has been able to make friends every time we go! Highly recommend getting a pass to the state park and dog park!

Just close your eyes and imagine the most incredible dog park you could think of!! And then just come here and you will have found it! 100 acres for your dog to roam and have fun on, a creek that runs through the whole thing and no matter which way you look it looks just like the two pictures I posted. The dogs running and splashing and having so much fun just makes you feel incredible inside!! But you do have to pay to come in. They have a yearly pass for those of you it was close enough to come off should I just pay the $14 every chance I get to come through!!

This is a good park, very large off leash area but there is a cost to get in. For a day pass it’s $14 to get into the park and dog park. You can buy a yearly pass as well. Lots of dogs, very friendly owners. Bring water shoes so you walk the creek with your dog. If you decide to walk the non-gated area outside the dog park be careful, there are coyote dens. Keep your dog leashed

Not what I expected at all!! I thought this place would be like your typical fenced in dog park that happens to be in the state park. This place has trails itself and the creek access is amazing and perfect for the hot days to cool off your dog. 10/10

Magical for humans and puppers alike! This place is awesome. It’s a huge area with wide walking paths. We especially loved tromping down the stream with stops to climb trees. This is a great place to bring kids and dogs to play in the water and woods. We’ll be back!

My dog loves coming here! Plenty of space to run and explore! Enjoys the water by the creek. If you come here in the evening, don't forget bug spray

Awesome off-leash dog park. We went at the hottest point of the day, which I would not recommend. as there isn't much in the way of shade. Great little splashing/wading area. Two thumbs up. 👍👍

Me and my pup always have the best time here. Giant open space with a gravel trail to walk on. Two points of entry: one through the park and one that’s just for the dog park, which is super nice when the line to get into cherry creek is long. There is water and sand for your pups to play and cool down in. Minimal areas of shade, however, and sometimes the bathrooms located near the dog park are gross.

Best dog park I’ve been to in the country. Great socialization. 100+ acres of dog off leash available. Clean. Clean creek for dogs to play in the water. Great park rangers. DO NOT SPEED OR YOU WILL GET A TICKET. 25MPH.

Excellent dog park for fur babies to have some off-leash fun time! It has trails, water, sand beach, native landscape set in a mountain range backdrop. The only con would probably be the entry price, it is $11 for the state park (the dog park is part of the state park) plus $3 for dogs, so $14 combined, highly recommended to have a State Park pass, or carpool with your friends who have the pass.

We love coming here with our beloved recco. You can have your dog off leash for an enormous area and do about a 3 mile walk if you do the entire loop. The main attraction is the creek, which you can find flowing during the spring and summer. There are 2 places to park. One is by the horse stables and the other you have to drive the western road through the main park entrance. We prefer the main entrance because you’ll always find parking. You’ll need a state park entrance pass and the separate off leash dog park pass!

Absolutely love this place for my pup! We’ve been twice now and had a blast both times. When it’s just rained the water will get a little murky and a fast current but nothing bad. I will say it’s $14 to get in, $3 for the dog side and then $11 for the car pass so just be aware.

“ I’m a peacock you gotta let me fly!” What I imagined my dogs said as we burst through the gates of the off leash area at Cherry Creek State Park. My dogs absolutely loved not having to be on leash. In fact one of my puppies ran so far I thought I lost him, but I knew I didn’t because the off leash area is all fenced in. I love having a place that my dogs can be free to run or fly… and I get peace of mind.

We loveee this dog park. Such a good trail to walk and an even better river at the end for the pups to swim in and cool off.
