The
tour
was
fantastic
and
I
highly
recommend
it
over
the
ghost
tours.
Seeing
and
being
inside
the
buildings
and
hearing
about
it's
history
was
creepy,
shocking
and
amazing.
You
get
to
hear
how
the
Asylum
was
run
when
it
was
open
and
active,
and
hear
the
guides
tell
stories
about
some
of
the
patients,
including
some
of
the
funny
antics
they
got
up
to.
Some
of
the
stories
come
directly
from
former
staff
and
patients.
Walking
around
during
the
day
gives
you
a
really
good
scope
of
how
massive
the
place
is.
The
volunteer
guides
were
full
of
factual
knowledge
and
information
on
Aradale
and
were
more
than
happy
to
answer
any
questions
anyone
had.
The
tour
was
done
at
a
very
relaxed
pace
and
no
one
was
hurried,
so
there
was
plenty
of
time
to
take
photos.
This
tour
is
done
by
volunteers
from
a
not
for
profit
organisation
and
all
ticket
sales
go
to
maintaining
JWard.
Although
they'd
much
rather
the
ticket
sales
go
to
doing
up
and
maintaining
Aradale,
unfortunately
their
hands
are
tied
due
to
bureaucracy.
If
you
haven't
done
this
tour,
I
highly
recommend
doing
it
at
least
once.
Personally,
I
know
I
will
be
back
to
do
it
again.
