My son moved in nearby so after helping him move in, we wanted to try some food nearby. This place was nearby so we gave it a try. It was good but I wouldn't say anything stuck out as spectacular. Everyone enjoyed the meal so that was good enough for us. If there was 1 thing that I did not like, it was that since I ordered 6 dishes, I asked for 6 hot chili oils. We all like our food spicy. We were charged 75cents for each chili oil. $4.50 for the chili oil without telling us we are being charged is not right. They were generous with the other sauce packets but they shouldn't charge for chili oil. It is a condiment. I only asked for the number of dishes. So that cost as much as the wonton soup. So that is my suggestion. Either tell the customer, because 75 cents is a lot for that little sauce, or make it free like other condiments.

I was recommended this Fire Wok in a gluten free group as one of the few safe gluten free Chinese restaurants in the DMV. I ached for (good) Chinese food since my celiac diagnosis and it has been so hard to find. Another restaurant closer to me glutened me on about half of my visits. Fire Wok has not glutened me yet after about 10 visits. The food is always so tasty, enjoyable, and quick. Without exaggeration, if I lived in or around Arbutus, I would likely finance the entire restaurant with how often I'd like to order. Unfortunately, I live a ways away and only can get it once every month or two when I visit my friend. I recommended Fire Wok to my friends during a game night and now the group is as likely to bring up ordering as I am because of the quality of the food. It's not just good gluten free Chinese, it's good /and/ can be gluten free. Thank you for many great meals and I'm looking forward to many more orders.

I read great reviews on this restaurant in Grubhub so I decided to try it out. And I'm glad I did! I ordered Shumai, Tofu w/ mixed vegetables, Mu Shu Chicken & House Special Mei Fun. Everything was delicious and came in generous servings. The only thing that disappointed me was they didn't have the Chili Crisp sauce that would have gone well w/ the Shumai. Also the Shumais were smaller than what I expected. But aside from that, everything else was delicious! I will order from Fire Wok again. And I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who likes good Chinese food 👍🏽😊🥰 👍🏽

Ordered from here for the first time, and it was just OK. Ordered the shrimp with broccoli, asked for the broccoli to be cooked EXTRA EXTRA EXTRA well done/soft, and it was still crunchy, no softness at all, and the brown sauce was practically missing other than the little bit the broccoli was cooked in. Was only like 4 shrimp in the whole thing. The crab rangoon was OK, not much of the cream cheese mixture inside tho. Didn't give us any hot mustard at all. Probably wont order from here again.

We love takeout from Fire Wok in Arbutus. They have a ton of delicious gluten free options and amazing service. A huge thank you to Reagan for walking a big order to my car across the street while I had a toddler in tow!

The food was so good!! I got the Sesame Cold Noodle appetizer and it was so yummy, it has a little kick to it so you have to be careful. Then I got Sesame Chicken as an Entree and it was very sweet and tasty. We went 15 mins before they closed and they didn’t give us left-overs, they cooked it fresh for us. The lady at the front is very friendly and made some good conversation.

Incredible range of gluten free options! Hits the spot every time from egg drop soup to sesame chicken! If you ask for no rice, they will load you up with meat and veggies! Quick service and open late as a bonus. Incredible value for prices. Very fresh!

I almost don't want to leave a review so I can keep it all to myself. Clearly a family establishment, and it's so sweet. If you have a gluten intolerant, please, do yourself the favor and come get some. I hadn't had general tso's in so long, and I nearly cried. 100/10.

This is my second time going. The family is great! My mother has a gluten sensitivity and she is so happy to enjoy Chinese takeout. If you are gf, not everything on the menu is gf, but gf items are clearly marked. We live 45 minutes away and it's worth the drive. The family that owns the business is sweet!

I have been to this establishment a few times and every time I have come for a “noodle” dish. After 3 times I have asked for “insert protein name here” dish I have gotten SPAGHETTI NOODLES. Not lomein noodles but, SPAGHETTI! This is a massive insult to ANYONE and sad for this is going to be the standard for others to follow 😞 the soup was great, the rolls were as standard. But to order lomein and get spaghetti is totally WRONG. I will NEVER go back to a place that wanted to use me for a paycheck! I would rate this place 1/2 stars! NEVER AGAIN WILL I GO THERE!

Fried Rice was a bit overdone and dry today. I don't normally have this problem at this store. I go here because they are the only ones with Burboun Chicken in the area. That was good as usual.

Highly disappointed. I ordered my kung Pao extra spicey, my food wasn't spicey at all and just didn't have any taste, and was very dry. The shrimp toast and egg rolls were the absolute worst I've ever had. I will never order from Fire Wok again. I thought I would give this place a try but I regret doing so. I'm sorry I didn't stick with American Asian.

Food was great and as someone who cannot eat gluten I was pleased to enjoy the food and not find myself sick after. Would definitely recommend if you are gluten sensitive as you can once again enjoy some good Chinese takeout!

I was really hoping this would be my go to Chinese spot. The reviews were pretty good and everyone said the food was good. Unfortunately I can not say that I’ll be coming back or ordering from here again. The food tastes refries as if yesterdays food was used for today. The chicken was hard and crispy and the broccoli chicken was oily. The fries tasted old as well. Not very happy with it.

The people were nice but the food was TERRIBLE. The chicken wings taste like they were double friend. As if yesterdays leftover wings were refried today upon order. My shrimp egg roll didn’t even have a piece of a shrimp in it. Never coming back here.

The workers are rude. Especially the woman who’s at the front. I ordered SHRIMP egg rolls and specifically let her know I didn’t eat red meat or anything that’s why I only want shrimp and veggies. The woman added some identified red meat to my egg rolls and lied and told me it’s “chopped shrimp” I never asked for that. I asked could she remake them just shrimp still willing to eat there she told me she could only remake 4 out of the 8 I got. Never again that’s playing with my health.
