On
our
motorcycle
trip
from
Richmond,
Virginia
to
the
Grand
Canyon
and
back,
we
are
enjoying
the
smaller,
non-corporate
family
owned
hotels.
The
Alpine
Inn
of
Pagosa
Springs
is
just
that.
We
arrived
early
and
Sophie
was
eager
to
accommodate.
With
a
smile,
she
had
us
booked
into
#213
in
a
jiffy.
The
room
was
clean
and
bright
after
opening
the
curtains.
The
balcony
is
tiny,
but
a
balcony
nonetheless,
overlooking
the
parking
lot,
mountains
off
to
the
distant.
Bathroom
was
clean,
with
hot
water
and
strong
pressure.
In
the
shower.
The
beds
were
a
tad
springy,
soft.
Pillows
about
medium.
A
continental
breakfast
is
offered
with
breads,
oatmeal,
cereals
and
juices.
The
location
was
great.
We
needed
to
do
laundry
and
hit
Walmart
and
we
were
close
to
both.
If
you
are
looking
for
fancy,
the
Alpine
Inn
probably
won't
do
it
for
you.
If
you
want
a
great
place
to
sleep,
in
a
great
location,
for
a
decent
price,
this
is
it!
