The gym itself is very nice as it’s newer and the equipment is new. The location is also convenient as our home is only about 5 minutes away. We wish it was more pleasant to come to this location, but the front staff is very unfriendly. Most of the time we are not greeted when we check in, and every time we ask to have a smoothie made there is so much attitude. I’m sure they were told making smoothies is a part of the job before they accepted it. One guy acts acts like he hates us whenever we ask. We told him to have a nice day and we’re ignored. For the prices cal fit charges customer service should be top notch. After our year is up we will be switching to 24 hour where I’m sure we will be treated better.

In regards to the environment, weights, classes etc. It is great. The gym is essentially clean which I appreciate. Some staff is great at the front desk as are trainers. However the issues I have are half the staff are somewhat rude. After a simple thank you, they don’t even respond. They are not trained well perhaps because the only one that seems to know anything is the general mgr. I saw a mess from the homeless in front and brought it to the front desk attention. They shrugged it off and said “ I don’t know who to contact” They also don’t enforce their rules Kids 6 and under, unsupervised on the gym floor and basketball court with the parent playing basketball. Kids will get hurt. The parent from time to time would go over and yell and use profanity forward their child in front of my son . The staff don’t care about this and don’t enforce their own rules. If it continues, they will lose business for sure. Thanks for reading

I signed up in August and they had a great deal for 3 months membership but in the end i did not like the gym and i came in person to the watt ave and Arden way location to cancel and they suggested to put it on stand by in case i wanted to come back and today i got a charge for 79.99 and i have not been back. The manager at that location told me today i should of canceled my membership. My hard earned money taken just like that.

Gym is great. Great equipment and people. I H A T E the cancelation process that overshadowed the whole expirencence. A real shame. Canceled membership with enough time to spare and was still charged. Refund is only way to make it good. Be very careful and cancle super early 30 days on advance. Witch wasn't told to me on sign up. The y or planet fitness is better fit for me from now on.

Went there and get info about plans and all and the two of employees who were working in front looked like they could care less and it looked as if I was asking a stranger for information. (Sunday July 16 20223 ). Secondly whatever ( touching and when I walked in it seemed as if I was interpreting them ) both (a girl and a boy) were doing behind the counter were really disgusting and I won’t even let my kids be around a gym like that. Good thing I saw it before signing up.

Front desk was very rude. Much of the equipment is broken and dusty. Gym is very unkept definitely not worth the money

Starting my membership here was best decision. The gym is clean, spacious, and so much equipment. Wish I checked it out sooner. I bring my mom who likes to work out and then chill in the steam room, and my toddler who has fun in the child care section and then I take her to the pool when I’m done working out. It’s a fun family outing for us and feels good to keeping us all active and healthy. Locker rooms are always clean and plenty of space to put your items and get dressed. All of the staff have been kind and attentive. Thanks Calfit!

I am loving my experience at this gym. Doug, the Manager, is amazing! Friendly, knowledgeable, great positive attitude/personality, and is for sure the reason for my new membership at Cal-Fit. Good gym. The only thing I dislike alot is the personal trainers or employees I see work there tend to crowd up in one area at a time to the point that I can’t get my full workout in because it’s being used as a hangout spot of them just standing around. Literally only complaint but overall good vibes close to my job and has almost everything

Personally not the biggest fan of this location. The equipment is pretty good the classes are pretty standard and the smoothie bar is alright but if I would have one thing to complain about is about the employees that work there. I’d like to get checked in without given side eye or standing there for like a minute waiting for them to stop talking and joking around with each other. After saying excuse me twice just for one the male employees to look at me with an annoyed look to check me in. Also sometimes a majority of I’m assuming they’re personal trainers that work there since I see them everyday wearing a calfit jacket, tend to crowd up in many sections of the gym just to stand around and talk for hours. Of course it’s a public place they’re probably discussing workout regimes or taking the time to do workouts but when’s it’s DAILY thing and they tend to just be on their phones taking selfies then it’s an issue. Brought it up to someone at the front desk and the female employee said “uhhh okay thanks for letting me know”. Not even taking account or asking for further details. Not the best atmosphere for me personally it’s okay there’s other locations but just thought I’d share my experience.

One of the newer gyms, they have a lot of exercise areas to choose from. From the weight area, TRX equipment, rock climbing, classes pool, and cardio. They have a non-gender steam room, so you can sit with your friends and quietly chat while to cool down, but it can get crowded. This is the main CalFit in that area, so everyone shows up after work/school. The best chance of accessing everything (less crowded) is in the morning.

Need water aerobic classes in the evenings. Children should not be allowed in sauna. Customers hog machines sit for 10 min doing nothing.

Cancelation and Locker Warning! Charged me 14 months. Do not leave your stuff at the lockers, they are not responsible on anything. I forgot my Gym bag with everything in the locker and went there to pick them up later on like three days there was nothing the locker was open when I asked no one took responssibility. Said you were not supposed to leave stuff there. When asked them to cancel my membership they charged me $300 dollars early determination fee. When you sign up make sure to read the agreement not just sign because first they hide that part not explain it for you second when you sign then you can't leave the gym for one year. Some front desk staffs are not professional.

Cal Fit is better than the other gyms around town. Just the right price compared to the cheapo gyms, and the super expensive ones that rob you! Not quite 5 stars as they have a foothold in Nor Cal. So they should change name to Nor Cal Fit. Wish they were in the Bay or So cal.

CFF is very family friendly and has a wonderful childcare area where I can drop my daughter off. The staff always recognize her and are happy to see her; I can tell she is in good hands. The facilities are great and I always feel like a get a good workout in. The Crossfit area in particular is great. My husband loves the BodyFit classes and sometimes takes our daughter to swim in the pool.

The Watt location is definitely many steps up from the Alhambra location (with its constantly broken treadmills). Parking here is super easy. It's very clean and the equipment is in good shape. It would be nice if they add 1-2 more squat racks in the open space so it is on par with Natomas. The turf is awesome and there is lots of room for a bunch of people. Good vibes. Worth the drive.

I enjoy the friendly positive vibe at this club. There are a great variety of classes. It is clean and it’s obvious that staff take pride in the club.

Nice gym with all the best equipment. I never feel intimidated or embarrassed even though I’m working on my fitness.

On Friday, July 21st, I received a phone call from a representative who informed me of a limited-time offer to sign up for just $1. However, I told him I was not available to talk at the time, so he promised to call me back on Saturday, July 22nd, at 10:30 am. Unfortunately, he did not follow through with this commitment. Feeling the need to clarify the situation, I reached out to the representative at approximately 5:15 pm. To my disappointment, he expressed that he had no knowledge regarding membership inquiries and was unable to provide any assistance. Furthermore, he demonstrated a lack of professionalism and courtesy. Having previously heard positive reviews about Cal fitness and being excited to join, I am now reconsidering due to concerns about their reliability and trustworthiness.

Jamie teaches wonderful Aqua classes Mon and Wed. We really need at least 1 more lads a week. So good for orthopedic issues!!
