Simply outstanding and mind-blowing from the moment you walk in the door until the moment you leave. Shawn is ridiculously talented, entertaining, funny and kind. His magic is incomprehensible, his banter hilarious and his stories heartwarming. To say my expectations were exceeded is an understatement! Go see this show! I'll be coming back as often as I possibly can! The show host Billy is also very talented and a wonderful complement to the experience, as is Shawn's wife who is warm, thoughtful and friendly. They've nailed it in a big way. Just outstanding!

We loved this show. I was very impressed with the magic, of course, but I expected that from a world class magician. What surprised me was the way Shawn made us feel like part of the show, choosing which tricks he would do, and chatting with us in a warm and friendly way. It helped that he was genuinely funny (even his Dad Jokes). The whole experience was welcoming and uplifting.

Wow...it was just an incredible show. From the second you walk in, you are immersed into Shawn's world. Every detail was calculated and I'm just blown away by his engagement throughout the show in this intimate setting. Apparently no show is the same so can come multiple times easily. I am absolutely stoked on it, thank you for such a great evening!

The experience was indeed magical and unexpected. We didn’t have to travel on a plane or a boat or far away to experience this entirely unique and fascinating combination of magic, lore, story telling and sensory experience. Shawn and his wife were amazing and interactive hosts and their assistants were both lovely and charming. Shawn interacted with skill and poise with all the kids in the room and amazed everyone’s childish heart within minutes of starting. His stand up were fantastic and kept the entire room enthralled to the very end. A true and dedicated professional and a humble star. Highly recommended. Great with kids as well. Great with adult kids like me. I attached a photo of a levitating chair. I was literally 2 meters away on second row. I cannot see any tricks here. Perhaps Shawn really does know magic…

So many surprises packed into one show. Shawn was truly amazing and I could not stop my jaw from dropping the whole time. You can tell how much passion he has for magic and making his audience happy. Shawn and his family were absolutely a delight. Thank you for such a fun experience!

I’m speechless!!! There are not enough words to describe how magical (pun intended) the entire experience was, from entering the shoppe, being greeted by Shawn’s lovely wife, and the show itself. Shawn is unbelievably charismatic, thoughtful, funny, and witty. I felt an entire spectrum of emotions, from wonder and disbelief to joy and introspection. The experience is very intimate given the small space (this is a great thing, trust me) and all audience members are able to participate in some capacity, which creates memories that are special and everlasting. I love how each show is different; you will never have the same experience twice. The price for a ticket is such a steal!!! Even if you think you’re not a “magic person”, do yourself a favour and give Shawn a chance to change your mind. You won’t regret it, I guarantee you!

Absolutely amazing show!!! Would give it a hundred stars if I could. Shawn is a sensational magician and showman!! His small theatre gives a fabulous intimate experience, no 2 shows will ever be the same. The speakeasy feel is unique and the curios shop is filled with all sorts of neat things. Shawn tells personal stories and visits with you after his show. His apprentice Billy also did a few tricks for us which was fun to experience as well. I can't believe I didn't know this existed until now! Such a cool concept, very entertaining in an intimate setting. The magic and banter of Shawn Farquhar is incredible! You start off browsing in a 'curio shop' of nostalgic 70s/80s trinkets and toys. Eventually you are called for and given a key. You walk behind a wall to find a bunch of locks and you have to pick the correct one to enter the 'speakeasy'. A secret door opens and you enter a small room with a minibar (no alcohol) and light snacks for purchase. The walls are full of magic memorabilia and photos and awards, there's so much to look at! When you're ready, you are ushered thru a small curtain and shown your seat in a very small, dark, mysterious theatre (just 30 seats). And then the show starts... and it's interactive, engaging, funny, and remarkable. Do yourself a favour and book tickets for your next night out.

My first ever magic show and it exceeded my expectations! From the moment I step into the location until the very end, was an unforgettable experience. The show was personal to Shawn and the audience and I think thats what makes it amazing. The staff are all so great and welcoming as well. This experience is one for the books and something to be told about. Thank you Shawn and the rest of the Hidden Wonders team, you guys are killing it!

This was absolutely stunning and well worth it! Entering, we used a key to open a secret door. Once we got inside, it was a whole new world. Shawn is a fantastic magician. He wowed us and made everyone laugh. My jaw dropped in disbelief for a lot of the show. I would recommend it to everyone of all ages. Thank you Shawn! You are AMAZING!

So much fun! Shawn is an excellent story teller and very entertaining. His magical abilities are phenomenal. Billy was fantastic as well! I've never been part of a magic trick, my mind was blown. Will definitely visit again and tell everyone I know to check it out.

This was such a blast. I went in with no idea what to expect and had such a fabulous time, we’ll definitely go back again and again. Shawn is an incredible showman, a fantastic storyteller, and clearly has so much fun doing these shows. The atmosphere is super interesting, from the sort of museum set up out front, to getting to the theatre itself. We stuck around and chatted for a bit afterwards with Shawn, and he’s such a genuinely lovely person with such a warm heart. Seriously, go check it out, thank me later.

Shawn was a fantastic host and entertainer from start to finish, his audience interaction really makes you feel included and a part of his magic! The entire performance was both creatively funny and will constantly make you think how does he do that? I would highly recommend grabbing front row seats to his mind bending show!

Pretty much everything about this show seemed designed to appeal to me - I mean, magic? Undisclosed location? Count me in! The show itself absolutely didn't disappoint - once I'd found the storefront hiding the show location, I had to figure out how to trigger the hidden door to get into the show (yes, this sort of thing does make me squirm with glee). It was my first magic show, and also my first show of any kind where I spent the whole evening fascinated. The showroom was a perfect setting, and the show itself was amazing. If you're wondering whether or not to do it - do it :)

This is the best show in Vancouver! From the moment you walk through the front door you know this will leave a lasting impression on you. Shawn has built his theatre into 3 parts. The front is a curiosity-style, nostalgic ‘store front’ experience designed to tuck itself away into a quiet hidden nook in the city. The second part showcases the battery of awards and accolades (including his Penn&Teller Fool Us trophies) with photos of his patrons and friends. The heart of Shawn’s theatre is an intimate stage that gives everyone a first person view of his amazing magic. Our group included everyone from young kids to retired couples. Shawn interacted with the entire group during his performance. We all had a wonderful time laughing and wondering and scratching our heads.

Great show - intimate setting (30-ish seats) in a small hidden theatre behind a false curio storefront. Perfect date, family, or company event. Shawn Farquhar is a fantastic, animated host (almost like a cartoon character in a very wholesome way) - good with kids also, undoubtedly from his years working Disney cruise ships. It's clear magic and entertainment are his life. Each show has a few set openings and closings, but the middle section is determined by what the audience selects, so you'll see different content each time. You get a 15% discount code that's also shareable to friends for all future shows as well. I could share it here, but I think it's worth supporting them at full price your first time. Every seat is great, but the front two rows get picked to select what tricks will be performed. My third time going, I bought two "couples" seats so the four of us could be in the front two rows. After the show, there's a good chance Shawn will perform more tricks in between getting his photo taken. He truly is a treat. Only negative is the location can be a bit sketchy and parking isn't fun on crowded days, not free.

Real fun all ages show. I convinced my mom to go because Shawn was a Fool Us winner and she had a great time. Recommended to anyone interested in magic. The place is full of nostalgic nick-knacks and fun surprises to look at while waiting for the show. The performance space is small only fitting around 30. It makes you think that you might be able to spot his tricks but you just won't. He is too skillful.

It was a well put together show. Honestly, it was like you were being taken into a secret little world. I didn't want it to end. I'd go again, and I highly recommend checking it out for anyone not sure if they should. The price is also affordable compared to other shows. Very entertaining magician. We were amazed and laughed until our stomachs were sore. The stories were very interesting and the magic was amazing. We can’t wait to go back again. It is money well spent.

If you're looking for an activity for date night or to take your kids too this is it. Set in an intimate setting hidden behind a fake curio shop. The staff are amazing, friendly, and so entertaining. Shawn is out of this world. He is the most amazing magician I've ever seen. We're still scratching our heads at everything we saw last night. We will definitely be back again and again. 5 stars isn't enough stars for Hidden Wonders, it should be 100 stars!

Shawn is tip top talent, period! He had a warm kinetic energy. He reminds me of someone who would be a very good host of a children's show for adults! His magic style is loose, off the cuff, funny, addictive for the eyes and brilliant in confounding the mind. It's an utterly spectacular show and I highly recommend it for singles, couples, friends, family, children, teens and seniors. Safe for all generations, yet inclusive of and immersive for everyone. I can't imagine how one doesn't walk away in wonder; truly a hidden gem in New Westminster! I visited with my sister, as well as my mother and my brother visiting from Alberta for the holidays. We all loved it and will be back for sure! I do have 1 critique; the show should be a touch longer. It was approximately 70 minutes. I feel a full show should be a minimum 90 minutes and include a 20 minute intermission in addition to the show. Perhaps a showcase of some of the students' artistically magical skills. All in all, EVERYONE should see this show at least once! Huzzah to Shawn. Mr. Sparkles

I knew nothing about Shawn Farquhar or his Hidden Wonders show. Friends asked us to join them. Best evening out in I don’t know how long. What an amazing , entertaining show. We were wowed to say the least. This is a “must do” show. Buy tickets now, you won’t be disappointed.

My family and I went to Hidden Wonders last night and were just mesmerized from the moment we arrived. I have seen magic shows before but none even come close in comparison. Shawn’s Magic is simply amazing and mind blowing but it was the atmosphere that won us over. Having a small venue and receiving the personal interaction really meant a lot. My daughter in law’s Dad was visiting from South America with very little English and he loved it too. Thank you Shawn and Team for such a warm, kind, feel good family night out. We will definitely be telling everyone we know. Wishing you all the best always.

Absolutely fantastic gem for our city and province. For those that enjoy live entertainment, magic and comedy, I can not recommend this more highly. My wife purchased this for my birthday weekend and it was such a fantastic evening. Only 30 people in the show. I watch Vegas magic shows very often and this by far was my favourite ever. His assistants (also well seasoned magicians in their own right) interact and entertain you before the main event. But once Shawn walks on stage, your next 90 minutes is gone in the blink of an eye (another great magic trick). I highly recommend!!

Had an incredible night at Hidden Wonders! This was my first magic show and the experience did not disappoint. It’s a privilege to witness such passion and talent from an individual who has clearly mastered his craft. The show is intimate and engaging with around 36-40 seats in the room, a stark and refreshing contrast from large scale productions. Several members of the audience and I were able to participate in the acts which made the experience extra special. The entire venue has been curated with one of a kind items from Shawn’s family which created an authentic and unique setting. This show is a must see and I will definitely be back !
