I worked here for about 6 years and could tell you 50 ways they rip off customers. What's even more sad is how they treat their employees....they give gift cards for good reviews. So if you're looking to move and it seems a little expensive somewhere else, there is a reason it's more expensive. Pay the extra money and go to a business that's proud of their work/employees cause it's definitely not here.

As a moving company “who truly cares” should not be exposing their own employees and customers. As we all know germs pass on very quickly. In this time of crisis TWO MEN AND A TRUCK should not be moving items. As far as I know both AURORA and CRYSTAL LAKE location ARE NOT taking care of their employees. Owners are lacking on their job we understand you are trying to make money but sending your employees drivers and movers to job sites unprepared without gloves and face masks , moving old people is UNACEPABLE!

I had always heard good things so when we were looking to move our business, I called and booked them. It was super easy to get everything set up and I got a quote the same day. They made themselves available on the day I needed them, despite me picking the wrong day the first time. When the movers came, they were super nice, thorough, careful, and down to earth. It felt like my friends had come to help us. Kai and his team were wonderful to work with. Everything was moved quickly and efficiently, and all our heavy, costly equipment was left in perfect condition. I would definitely suggest them to others and will use them in the future!

2 Men-and-a-Truck were recommended to me from a relative who had just used them. Everything he raved about....friendly, on time, professional, fast yet CAREFUL at good value pricing were ALL TRUE....they, (Nick and Ty) took all my moving stress away....it was such a nice experience that it made me wish I was moving again. haha...Seriously...they were good and can wholeheartedly recommend them.....Bob

They tried to tell me I needed two trucks when I only ended up needing one. They tried to tell me that I needed four guys when I only needed three. One guy tried to tell me it would take 6 hours for the three guys to load the truck and when I told him that was crazy, it would probably only take an hour because I only had furniture not boxes or little things, he called his boss and told him that I was only going to pay for the movers for an hour! The boss called me and I told him what I actually said. It ended up taking 3 guys 2 hours to load and they asked for smaller things to fill the truck so we gave them lamps and smaller chairs. When it was time to unload at my brand new home where the asphalt had not been laid yet, the movers started unloading without covering the carpet and got mud on it. I asked why they weren't covering the carpet and was told that carpet shield costs an extra $20, I had never been told that and thought it would be common sense to cover carpet when walking on it with dirty shoes. I called the boss and told him they were getting mud all over my new carpet and he called the movers and told them to put the carpet shield down. My furniture was all delivered safely and unharmed but the attention to details and the professionalism was lacking.

My first experience was pretty decent although my recent experience was one of the worst. They arrived with only 3 medium boxes when they were told we would need some help with packing. They brought the smaller truck (or maybe the were hoping to get it all in). Their operations manager guy Rubin was extremely unprofessional and did not have a single clue of anything and was trying to jump in between and was very rude talking to me. It was a local move so they made a second trip and charged me for the second trip. When I asked this Rubin why am I being charged for the second trip his.wordings were "do u want the second trip free" well that was your fault not mine. I had a 1200 dollar estimate and I ended up paying 1600. I called thier sales manager (forgot.his nale) and.they had no courtesy for even to apologize or to work around it. I would not use them again ever. There is alot.of better companies out there. Dont waste your time and money here.

Guys did a great job. Hustled and still took the time to assure everything was safe and secure. Moved into a 150 year old house with tight doors and hallways and did an excellent job navigating furniture and boxes with no damage. Would highly recommend Two Men and a Truck.

When the guys showed up, one was working very hard and moving fast. The other guy took almost an hour to take eight bolts off to take the bed frame apart.I know the furniture was heavy, that is why I hired "professionals". That is not what I got. They damaged a door, and a night stand. Then said it must have been that way, as he was holding a piece of wood broken off the night stand he had wrapped in my plastic himself. It took them an additional 40 mins to get to the new place then what it took me. The neighbors at my old place just recently told me that the truck pulled over down the street and they guys got out, and went into the back of the truck for about 20 mins, what and why where the doing with my things? I called last week to ask questions, and was promised a call back. I have not heard back, and just left another message. Sometimes things happen, but what you do about it defines what kind of a business it is that you run. I hope to hear back soon.

Avoid any all cost! They will take false information and have you sing documents but then they change and won’t give them to you! Your family will get treated like complete garabage and make you spend legal fees just trying to get paperwork!

Very efficient, fast and professional. We had many glass items, mirrors and each were wrapped individually, nothing was broken or scratched. Arrived on time and finished in 3 hrs. Would definitely recommend them

Talking to the office team with all the concerns we had, they made us feel comforted and assured that the move will be very well taken care of. Their prices are very reasonable and I had so many concerns and they were so patient with me, its as if "bedside manner" was really up to aces with this company. They have so much compassion and empathy. On the day of the move we were taken care of by Cai, Cody and Phillip who are very courteous, attentive to all your needs and questions, flexible, professional, moving our stuff under heavy rain, there are no sighs or eye rolling, there are no hidden fees, they inform you of alternatives and if you wanted to keep protectors for your glass and other fragile stuff, for a reasonable price you can have your items protected just in case you cant protect them properly. They are punctual worked on the dot with no breaks and they handled every single item and furniture with utmost care. Two Men and a Truck will always be our go to company no matter what. I hope their bosses notice that they need a new ramp for their truck! The poor guy suffered with a broken ramp. I've had the honor of attending an important service on the eve of April here at the Querhammer & Flagg Funeral home. Our neighbor Daniel J. Stadfeld 1955 - 2015 is laid to rest in such a way that I will certainly remember close to heart as Dad and I witnessed a colorful rainbow arching across the sky upon our arrival. The pictures are captivating and to be cherished. Querhammer & Flagg is uniquely situated to expand on this memory as Dan a gardening enthusiast and a professional typeset printer has certainly had his share of keeping structures in working condition and on that note the expanded page parable in regards to location revealed itself as such to the sacred alter toe point of a larger walking stick figure pattern manifested as such as where the ink was the roadways "Walk-Up/Hillside" that Dad traveled upon from Pistakee Highlands. And tonight as I sat near Dan's garden looking up at the clouds back-lit by the moon a similar walking figure armature took shape. So it's comforting to think that there is a Loves Park connection to this remarkable page of the flag pole staff sundial which casts one leg forward over time.

We held my mother's services here and the staff treated all of my family with compassion. They answered all of our questions (first time having to plan a funeral) and I wouldn't have changed a thing. Thank you for helping our family at such a difficult time.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND! I called them to unload a box. They showed up on time with a truck and equipment, in uniform and very professional. They talked to each other, coordinating each piece of furniture and positioning. I used a discount mover from the U-haul website to load and was extremely disappointed. Scratched floor, furniture and didn't come prepared to move anything. Just a guy who had moved before and a newby in a beat-up Dodge Neon and dirty clothes. The guy who I coordinated the move with was a barber for his day job. He just farmed out the move. Even the movers didn't speak well of him. "Two Men and a Truck" in Crystal Lake, IL is my go-to for all moving needs.

Had a positive experience with Two Men and a Truck from start to finish. I appreciated the clear and accurate estimate, the friendly staff at the Crystal Lake office and especially Erik and Samuel who were amazing!! Despite pouring rain and some complicated move needs they stayed positive and kind. I do not regret the expense as the service received was exactly what was needed!! Highly recommend!

We had a great experience with Two Men and a Truck. The booking process with a clear quote was really very prompt and extremely helpful. The day of the move they arrived on time, were all very professional, and did the job really efficiently, it was an in-house only move. We did have a small amount of damage from an extremely heavy piece having to be moved, but they sent a repair service literally within 48 hours to fix the damage, I was really impressed. I absolutely recommend them, and will use them in the future.

I needed help unloading a 26ft Uhaul coming in from Salt Lake City. A three man crew showed up and did an amazing job. They were professional and polite. They worked quickly and efficiently the entire time. Brandon, Lucas, and Demitri were wonderful and I was very happy with the service.

A great experience today. We had a 3 stop move to get Apartment furniture back home. Mackey and Bronson were great. Followed instruction, respectful of me and my belongings. Really excellent service. On time, the movers were super friendly, and very careful. I had some oversize furniture, but they were able to get it through doors. At my new place they placed furniture where I wanted, and also moved it little when the first placement didn't work out. They were careful about walls and carpets. I can't recommend them enough!!

This is the first time we've had to use movers. I was very pleased with the 2 men who showed up early(I might add) , and ready to work. They were polite, pleasant, nice guys. We didn't have a lot, but they did the job quickly and cleanly in both the pick up and drop off area. I'll give them 4.8 stars only because I don't want their heads to get too big from all the compliments. I'll definitely hire them again! Thanks guys!

Words can’t describe the terrible moving experience I had with Two Men and a Truck of Crystal Lake moving my 96-year-old Mom 3.8 miles away, from 1.5 rooms to 1 room. It took them 6.25 hours to move One Bed; One Small Desk; One Dresser (everything left in it); One tiny foldup table with 2 chairs; One Recliner Chair; One small nightstand; One curio cabinet. They packed: Small (30”) Bathroom cabinet with minimal things and some things on top; clothes closet with one rack of clothes plus about 4 small shelves of misc; sink cabinet which had about 3 things; kitchen counter (with 3 small 6” square trays with teabags); some misc. small. Thirteen total small/Medium boxes (although no one knows why they dumped desk contents into a box - totally unnecessary). They didn’t do any of the things requested like unpack the curio cabinet (which they had promised to bubble wrap but the movers say they never use bubble wrap so Joe should not have promised that) and didn’t even have paper to wrap the curio cabinet things because no one told them the details of the move. These two young men had no idea what they were doing. We “hired” professional movers and what we got were two young inexperienced men. They brought all 13 boxes into the room first, and then had no room to put the dresser or desk because the boxes were all in the way! It was a joke that wasn’t funny. They would bring up a load and leave and not come back for 15 to 20 minutes. So one time I went to see what was taking so long (15 min. had passed) and they were just leaving the building – don’t know what they were doing for 15 minutes in the building somewhere. And why did it take 20 minutes or more for each of the loads to come up – she’s the 2nd room off the elevator and the elevator is right off the main entrance! Bait and switch – quoted 4 hours for job, then wanted $1,069 to move 1.5 rooms 3.8 miles (omitted extra stop which would have added an additional hour) then his “boss” Ruben threatened to call the police if I didn’t pay on the spot with an invoice still charging the extra fee. And the boxes were not “packed” … everything was simply thrown in - Pillows on top of the vacuum cleaner head. Dumped the contents of the desk into a box rather than leaving it in the desk. Please don’t ever hire Two Men and a Truck of Crystal Lake. There was no reason this small move would have been 6.25 hours or even 4 if they had sent experienced movers.

Guys were great, moved all my stuff safely and took great care! Even scheduled my move for New Years eve and they were able to accommodate. They were on time, and called to give me a heads up that they were on the way. From the first phone call, to the last encounter I recommend Two Men and a Truck.
