Great place to see music just wish the food was better. Their presentation is great but tasted kinda bland. - Updating my reply to include another reply to the owners comment - it was your new chef, and i am trying to tell you in a nice way that both dishes that we were served were not good. We spent a lot of money at your place that night. You would think that would concern you and not just reply the way you did.

We liked the restaurant. The food was good. The waiter was attentive. We enjoyed the live music. The bar had muted sports on TV.

Overly crammed tables and chairs for a small venue. They have restrictions of cheering for the artist after a song! They don’t warn you but will just kick you out for cheering for the artist after a song! Their food is overly priced and not great! They honestly should turn this into a book club or poetry club if they want to be on the quieter side! Would not recommend coming here!

The music venue was really nice. It's pretty small so there didn't seem to be a bad seat in the place. We were literally on the edge of the stage. We saw Anna Nalick and she was awesome!!! I did order a mixed drink which was on the expensive side ($14) but it was huge and pretty strong so they didn't skimp on the alcohol. We ordered the calamari and did not like it at all. The pieces were tiny and greasy and hey had some sort of sauce squirted on them. It reminded me of the zesty sauce from Burger King. I told the waiter and he did offer to replace them without the sauce but i chose not to. I did stop one of the owners and told him about the calamari and he just dismissed me saying how most people liked it and then he walked away. Since we didn't eat it I wish they didn't charge me for it. They were about $17? Anyway, worth it for the music but not sure about anything else..

The food and drinks were okay. The area for the live music was cool. Don't talk during a song.

Great sound . Intimate place. Free parking next door. Easy to get a drink , roving staff was effecient. And other places in that area but definitely go here. Michael McDermott was great.

Great food! The chef came around and spoke to everyone and offered suggeations on food as well as upcoming events. The servers as well as the young lady that took our order displayed excellent customer service. After dinner we ushered ourselves to the other side where we watched the live show and it was also amazing! I will be going back.

Been 4 times over the past few years. Always love the music. Used to enjoy the food. Sadly, today will be our last visit due to the slow service we experienced both last time and this time plus poor food. Brunch took almost 2 hours and that was with us talking to a manager, barely eating our meals and skipping the dessert. Admittedly, the starter biscuit was delicious. So was my cocktail. But The brisket they served was actually corn beef. It was served with rubbery eggs and hollandaise sauce which wasn’t mentioned on the menu. we simply can’t forgive the service after two very slow visits. Maybe more communication by the staff could have helped. It was clear the kitchen was running short staffed. We weren’t the only patrons complaining. It also didn’t help to only find a $50 prefix menu despite no mention of it online.

Attended the Father’s Day brunch today at 10:00. Pleasant staff and nice ambience outside. We didn’t realize there was a Fixed Prix menu, our bad. We were surprised at the offerings and cost. Menu was a little unusual and not what we were expecting. Once we ordered the drinks took 20 minutes to arrive. Once we ordered our food, we waited 45 minutes to get our first course then 15 minutes for the second course. There were only about 5 tables of guests, too. The food came out cold and the brisket entree tasted okay but was plated very unappetizingly. The kids meals were so slow too. We took our desserts to go; kids were done and so were we. Our waitress apologized and blamed too many orders at one time. Not sure that was the issue, but there definitely was one today. Very disappointing.

    • Staff, venue & drinks = awesome, 5 stars • Food = 2 stars - overpriced and a hit or miss the last couple years. We’ve surveyed all of our neighbors and friends who live in the area and they completely agree. No one ever wants to tell the waiters to make anyone feel bad so I think a lot of people leave unsatisfied. When HN first opened, it was our fave spot to go because the food was delicious and unique. We will definitely come back for the entertainment and drinks, but will most likely skip the food and go to dinner elsewhere. Also, I debated writing this review, because as I mentioned the intent is never to hurt anyone’s feelings, but I think the owners deserve to know what’s being said about the place. Would love to see this back on our list of favorites!

Been to Hey Nonnys for shows over 25 times since their opening 5 years ago (this week). Absolute great selection of all genres of music in an acousticly perfect room. Great staff including Zach in the bar serving up drinks and custom cocktails. Food is great and on a revolving seasonal menu.

On an outing to reunite with Ellis Paul, a friend I hadn't seen in years, I headed to Hey Nonny for dinner and his concert. The show was awesome, as shows always are at Hey Nonny. But the star of the evening might actually have been the dinner! Ken and the whole restaurant staff were so gracious... which added to the sumptuousness of the dining experience - Sous Vide Pork Chops. (You *must* ask about dessert.) If you're in the city, it's worth the trip. If you're in Chicago's western suburbs, what are you waiting for? See you next time at Hey Nonny!

First time! My husband and I found the staff, owner, service, food and entertainment outstanding! The live music with the Feathered Beaus and Peppermint Patty’s was SO much fun!! It was a full house! The music was amazing, from the piano players to the song selections and professional performers!!! I’ll definitely come back and bring friends! Thanks for a great night!

Enjoyed Sunday brunch on July 2, particularly the jazzy sounds of Stirred Not Shaken. Alto Nanci Davidson was a master of the subtleties of 40s and 50s era tunes, pianist was energetic in his fills and solos, and electric guitarist was adept in both minor chords and picking improvisation. Will definitely visit Hey Nonny again, especially if this trio is performing!

Was just there a couple days ago for brunch. And I cannot express how amazing the food was, along with the service! Seeing how the chef goes around making sure everyone is enjoying their meals and have small talk with them, was a great gesture on his part. I had the chorizo hash and it was phenomenal! Never had anything like it, paired it with the toasted coconut espresso martini and it was delicious! Definitely plan on going back before brunch ends, I’m looking forward to going for dinner as well 100/100!!! Love Chef Noe ◡̈

Bustling main dining room with decent options for food, but nothing noteworthy. For the fine dining price you'd pay for a $20 cheeseburger you are better off going to Portillos or The Assembly in Hoffman Estates. Did not check out the music venue, but that's likely the only reason I'd come back.

Great food. Good drinks. A large variety of entertainment. Comedy nights are great and they bring on really good vibes. When outdoor seating is available it's a great vantage point of downtown

Shout out to the general manager and chef who made sure we were pleased! Ambiance, food, and drinks were great! We ran into an issue but the chef and GM were quick to fix it. They were very personable and care about their customers.

Went in for a live show during the weekday. A very busy place. The live music was amazing and the room for it had its own bar and you could order food and drinks in some areas.

I’m very surprised that this restaurant has such high star rating, unless it’s the show’s that are bringing up the score. We tried 3 appetizers and 4 mains plus a special main. Not a single item had a grain of seasoning. I’m not saying garlic or herbs, but salt? Who doesn’t salt pasta water. $40 piece of meat without flavor! Overpriced and not worth it at all. Bummer.

Delicious food, and great, intimate music experience. Kudos to the new chef! In the middle of the happening Arlington Heights scene. Parking garage with free parking right next door. Oh yeah, we'll be back often.

We came here for dinner and to see a performance by a long-time favorite,, Slaid Cleaves. Dinner was particularly tasty, though it seemed the staff was stretched thin. The restaurant was crowded and, after our order was taken, we didn't see our server again until it was time for the check. I had been hoping to ask for salt & pepper, but it was not to be. Still, the meal was tasty and served with enthusiasm. The venue was delightful. We had cabaret seats (at a cafe table, rather than general admission seats), which gave us attentive waitstaff service. The stage is tucked into a corner, allowing good sight lines through the house. Each side of the stage wall (behind the performers), had royal blue velvet curtains with really nice lighting - bright, but not glaring. We clearly enjoyed our evening and look forward to returning soon.

Well, that was awesome! We saw Bach to Rock and was absolutely impressed! The sound engineer did his job well and the drinks tasted yummy! 😋 I didn’t know this venue existed and will definitely keep on my radar 💜🤘🏻💜

Great venue for an intimate show. All seats are close to the stage. Love that they have a "verbal agreement with patrons to not talk" during the performance. Really cuts down on the chatter.

Not the best experience. Tried to order 3 entrees and found they were out of all. I am highly allergic to fish which left one entree that I didn't want. The waitress Lisa was so sweet. I asked for management and he explained that a new chef was hired. But the food at a restaurant should be available, especially on such a smaller menu. My friend is diabetic and needed to eat. He ended up making us chicken breast 😪 and my friend a hamburger. Not a happy visit!! Management offered to buy us 2 desserts, then found out they were out of one. REALLY!!!!

We went for Saturday brunch to celebrate Father’s Day. The bluegrass music was wonderful! Unfortunately, the service was extremely slow and inattentive- despite not being very busy. The quiche was undercooked and inedible. Disappointing for a $70 bill. We’ve previously been for dinner and enjoyed our experience. Will not be back after this.
