One of the only all-you-can-eat sushi places around. We try to go here at least once a month because it is so delicious! The food is amazing, the plating always looks so nice, and always good service!

TLDR: Friendly Staff, Good Sushi. Our party opted for the all you can eat option. It was 35 bucks a person; a price that was a little steep in my opinion, compared to AYCE places elsewhere, including in New York City, but given the location I guessed there was a reason for the 5-8 dollar step-up. The waitstaff were friendly and frequently came by to check up on us and offer more AYCE sheets. The sake, according to the others, was a little watery and didn’t taste quite great. Otherwise, the kitchen entrees, sushi, and sashimi were great. We ordered a variety of rolls, fish, and appetizers, more than I can remember. I do recommend the miso soup and spring rolls, but the mushroom soup, although tasty, was quite salty. The rolls were not bad. I found that some of the ingredients in the descriptions for the rolls were missing from the actual rolls, although these were pretty minor details, such as a little sprinkle of tobiko or drizzle of sauce. The sashimi was great. The staff honored our requests for multiple pieces at a time. Fresh, tasty, and worth the increase in price compared to other AYCE places. We were absolutely full by the end of our meal. One thing I will mention is the lack of a time limit, which the staff seemed to advertise, telling us to take our time with eating. I’ll also mention that some types of fish (e.g. yellowtail) were only available in sushi or roll form, not in sashimi. To finish it all off, the ice cream was great. Overall, was a great meal and would recommend to anyone looking for fresh sushi.

I took two good friends here for an after work powwow i was surprised to find they had all you can eat sushi with some understandable rules: Each customer to order a minimum of 2 to “enjoy their meal” If not finished you will pay retail price per roll. You can’t share with anyone who is getting individual items. The rules are understandable but my issue with it is the women working the register came up to us and told me because i didn’t finish I’d pay for each roll, no problem i thought. Until she then said i couldn’t take it home my response was so im gonna pay for it and i can’t even take it home with me ? All parties at my table agreed and pointed out the discrepancy. We argued that if i pay for it it’s mine she then back tracked with a Horrid attitude -10/10 won’t eat that this spot again. Shout out to akari though for affordable rolls.

We’ve read the positive reviews about sushi village, and have wanted to try it for AYCE, but decided to order takeout for dinner this past Sunday first and we are glad that we did. Overall, we found the food quite underwhelming. My husband and I split the sushi for two, and ordered seaweed salad and shrimp/vegetable tempura for our son’s dinner, and beef negimaki to share as an appetizer. The seaweed salad is the same as what you get at any restaurant, and the tempura was good, although I only tried the vegetables. The beef negimaki was bland. The sushi was disappointing overall. The spicy tuna roll had no flavor, and the “amazing roll” is incorrectly named. It’s stuffed with more filler items than fish and was topped with mango and god awful spicy mayo. The nigiri was slightly better although the rice was bland, and some of the fish cuts were quite thick. The calamari pieces were chewy and hard and inedible. We are big sushi fans and unfortunately have been spoiled by better quality sushi so this was a miss for us.

I've been here multiple times, and will continue to come back. Amazing food and excellent service, for a fair price. For such a small shop, they easily surpass their larger competitors. We chose the all you can eat option this time around! We had never had any of the rolls we chose, and they were all delicious!

Great place for sushi. Definitely my favorite in Poughkeepsie. Always high quality and fresh. Covid has limited them to take out which takes away the option for all-you-can-eat but still a great place to check out. The all-you-can-eat is definitely our go-to option to pack in the rolls. We usually end up eating 10-15 rolls between the two of us. Chunky monkeys 🐒

They were friendly and place was clean. Sushi was so good too. I’ve ordered Uber eats from this place before it was okay but dining in sushi was so much better! I wanna visit here more.

Best all you can eat sushi place in the neighborhood! Our waitress Sophia was nice and welcoming. She made me the best iced green tea I’ve ever had.

Sushi was great but I've never been to an all you can eat and I was excited to try it for the first time. The recommended amount that's POSTED outside of this restaurant says they recommend 2 rolls per person. I acknowledged this suggestion as a first time customer and ordered 2 rolls, however I got pretty full after one and like a third of the second roll. The lady that came to get my dishes came out so nasty and said that she will charge me next time. I feel like she over reacted especially when I only ordered 2 rolls because it was SUGGESTED by their business. Needless to say I won't be coming back. HOW YOU COMMUNICATE WITH PEOPLE MATTERS... no need to be an as****e. I understand you don't like the college kids that go there and apparatus over order but not all of us are those college kids...we're individuals and should be treated with respect.

Don't get the all you can eat special any little bit you don't eat they'll charge you . On top of that the special is already 35 per person. We left 4 pieces of sushi they charged us an extra 20 dollars . Food was fresh ill give them that.

The hostess spent a lot of time explaining about the all you can eat option, so we decided to do it. The different options were good, the food was ok. The hostess said if you don't eat all your food you will have to pay for it. On top of the 2 all you can eat orders we already ordered. Whatever we didn't eat. They charged us an additional 20 dollars. I asked how did you come up with 20 dollars. She said "we charge you from the regular menu" so if you have a couple of pieces of sushi left.. they will charge you for the entire roll. I never heard of this before but I didn't want to argue. I will never come back again. The math wasn't mathin,,🧐

Fresh sushi all you can eat that is made to order. I love the food here. It is worth the $34.99 per person if you are a sushi fan.

All you can eat was great, a bit pricey at $35 but includes many things many ACYE menus don't, and they don't change the size of the rolls or add tons of rice to them. All the rolls were great, generously fished, very fresh. I was very happily surprised with the quality

Food is generally good in this place. The rolls are decent enough to fulfill your cravings. However, I wouldn’t consider it my go to. There are better and more tastier options like the one on route 9. However, service is fast and the drinks especially the boba is bomb.

Had the all you can eat with my husband tonight. The sushi was very delicious and big! Also enjoyed the crabmeat salad and the calamari! Ordered 1 calamari though, thinking it'd be one small platter, but it was just two rings. Ordered 8 next time and got 12 big pieces and 4 small ones so make of that what you will. Delicious none the less, loved the sauce that came with it. The green tea ice cream was also wonderful, though sadly they were out of the red bean tonight (my favorite). Also they upped their prices again. As of June 21st, 2022 they're charging $34.95 per person. I definitely think that's pretty steep, but at least we ordered more than that price.

This place seems pretty busy and the food is pretty good, but is extremely dirty. Walls, table, floors all greasy and it really made me question if I should be eating in there or not. I did and I don’t think I’ll be back to eat inside, but maybe I’ll order takeout next time.
