Best Mexican restaurant around. The pepino endiablado cocktail is something to die for 😋 definitely coming back!

Highly recommend. You must to try this place and found a very good tasting original from Oaxaca. The place is pretty cute outside and drinks were good. I experienced a interesting food experience with authentic Mexican flavors. I will be back.

La Cabañita I will be back again for sure. Located in what appears to have been a church at some point, it is sure to convert and make you a believer in really good Mexican food. We were a large party and nobody was disappointed with their meal. Service was friendly and attentive. Restaurant was clean and I loved the decor. It wasn't too crowded, but it should be!

The food was so good. My dish had wonderful flavors and was cooked to perfection. Reminded me of my recent trip to Mexico. They worked hard to make me happy and I appreciated the manager/host making everything right!

Tacos were delicious and pretty reasonable! We got Shrimp tacos and Barria tacos!

Great tasting food and amazing service.we ordered birria tacos,quesadillas oxaqueñas,veggie burrito and carne asada with shrimp. All the dishes were very good .they have a good selection of drinks I had the pepino endiablado wich did not have its garnish of cucumbers but it was good

Food was exceptional. Service was outstanding. Even the drinks were good. No complaints what so ever.

The taco salad with the tortilla was scrumptious! Even the burp later was delicious. A happy memory of how much I enjoyed this food!

Very good Mexican village food, highly recommended the enchilada with mole sauce, its probably the best I've ever eaten. And I've eaten a lot of food.

This was my first time going to this place. Nice place to have dinner or if you just wanted to get a drink. So far I just had a few drinks there. Definitely will go back. Went back there today. I dined in this time. Delicious food and drinks. Not sure if they deliver yet

Had dinner with a group of friends. Salsa and chips were yummy (you get red and green salsa). I am a Chicken Fajita lover and these ranked up there. The rice and beans were creamy and the perfect side. Hubby got the Biria tacos and loved them.

Luis is an amazing bartender 10/10!!! We always sit at the bar and talk to Luis and he has great customer service & of course amazing drinks!! The food is amazing and I highly recommend this place

I went for lunch. It was very slow that day. I wanted chili rellenos. They were out of the cheese ones, so I chose the chicken one. It was good. I asked for sour cream and tortillas, but the waitress must not have understood. They were also out of a pineapple drink we wanted to taste. The food was fine.

Came here our first night in Poughkeepsie and it was a great decision. Food was absolutely great, cooked well & tasted great. Waiters were nice and the atmosphere was amazing. It was quiet when we first arrived but got packed shortly after. If we're to come back to Poughkeepsie, we will definitely give La Cabanita another visit.

Fantastic food(!), fabulous decor, and delicious drinks - they carry Mexicoke (glass bottles & made with real cane sugar), and their house margaritas are always delicious. The booth seats could use a little love (new foam & covers), and sometimes it can take a while to get drinks, but all in all: 10/10 will continue to visit!

Starting with the crispy nacho chips, the meal was great. The atmosphere was very authentic, and the fajita was just amazing!!! Definitely going back!!!

Excellent food. We came here for my dad’s birthday and everyone in our party enjoyed and really loved every bite they had! We had the queso, guacamole, and empanadas for the appetizers and I had the birria tacos for lunch and fried ice cream for dessert. Very authentic and delicious food. Service was outstanding as well!

We have not been here in a couple of years. The last time we really enjoyed it. This time not so much. The nachos were just there free chips with a sparing amount of cheese and we had chicken added to them. $18 for nachos that were not very good at all. Soggy no sour cream, guacamole, or salsa. Very blan. My main course was basically a couple of strips of steak with rice and beans $24. My wife had tacos which she said we're just ok. Our son had a cheese quesadilla and fries which is nearly impossible to mess up and it was just average. My wife and I had a drink each and they were pretty good. Only reason i am not giving 1 star. We spent $100 dollars which I know is not a lot these days but it is definitely overpriced for what we had. Another local restaurant we visit frequently cost us $120 for 5 of us to eat 2 weeks ago. Just overpriced and average at best food.

It's a cute restaurant and I very much enjoyed my burrito HOWEVER: I went their with a group of friends and my girlfriend and she is very allergic to peanuts. The food she ordered had mole sauce which contains peanuts but she did not order it with mole sauce it was an addon she didn't ask for and she accidentally ate it. Everything turned out fine thankfully but if you have an allergy be very careful. Double check once you received the food because this could have been very bad.

La Cabañita has officially become the go to place for Authentic Mexican cuisine and everything inbetween. My family has tried various dishes here but my recent experience sealed the deal. I ordered a steak burrito and it showcased everything to love about TexMex and Oaxaca food in one. Fantastic service, fast, and most importantly safe during these unprecedented times, I look forward to coming back again and again.

Food was very tasty. Staff was nice. The wait was a bit long (I think they were short staffed), but worth it.

Such an awesome experience. They were very cognizant of my ridiculous allergies and made me a fantastic, tasty meal. Wouldn't hesitant to go back!
