We come here on Mondays for a weekly board game meetup. The owner and staff are incredibly friendly and accommodating, and the beer selection is great!

I have been regularly coming here the last few months, and I have never been disappointed. The employees are friendly and considerate. The food is great. I often enjoy the fish and chips, but had a great shepherd's pie last night.

I got steak fajitas or tacos there on special awhile back. The steak melted into a sweet and savory, buttery, taste sensation that made me wish I had another stomach for more. And whatever they used to marinate it added that lemon lime zest at the end for a little tropical ting as the juices flowed out. It was really good. And the husband and wife that own it are really nice and accommodating. Husband also makes one good pitcher margarita.

I went for Trivia Night, so much fun! I had the Shrimp Tacos, they were yummy. Reasonable prices. Has a cool vibe.

Awesome time..great staff!..And the owner"L I A"(along w/ her brother) is the Friendliest and most kindhearted person I've ever met...if you're planning a NITE OUT, forget where ever else you were planning to go and GO HERE instead..we had so much fun..and there's even a game room and private party area..i was happily suprized...im dragging all my friends there and they agree!..it just may now BE my new favorite place!

An interesting combination of Irish and Mexican cuisine rolled into one menu. I don't know any other restaurant that has something called a burgerito and it's definitely worth trying. Prices are average for the area service was very good.

All I can say is WOW !! I knew the fare at Juan's was great...but I had no idea it would be so delectable... Our meals were "to go" and were prepared very quickly and came out steaming hot !! Nicole wanted the fish and chips and I went the traditional route as you can see... I will probably host a St. Patrick's Day meal for my family next year and have it catered by Lia and her amazing staff !!

So me and my husband went here for the first time back in 2018. We were new to the area and both were in the mood for good Mexican food. Looking on google we found out that this little bar had some of the highest rating so we thought we would give it a try. When we went in we found out that the entire menu was all Irish and Mexican food, a very different combination. I decided to order the pork burrito, a recommendation from the server and OMG this was absolutely the most tasty and most authentic burrito I have ever had! Now it’s 2021 and we still frequent Juan Murphy’s, and let me tell you, it NEVER disappoints.

Good music, friendly people. Place was jumping this Saturday night. Good brew and food service late.

Loved the set up of this place. Didn't even know it was here. A friend invited me. They had live band outside playing (seem to be a weekend vibe. Inside, the setting is nice and spacious. Bartender was nice!

This is the absolute best place I've been too! I can't tell you how friendly and extremely helpful....New Year's Eve was fabulous and when all was said and done they made sure I had a safe ride home! That being said I inadvertently misplaced my coat, I was frantic looking for it and do you know the owner of the establishment, Lia, went above and beyond to help me out with finding it! She kept in contact with me throughout the day right up until she told me she found it! That speaks volumes to the type of people they are and the type of place it is.... it's a place where you can go and not worry about anything or anyone! Thank you all so much for everything..... it's more than just a place to go and make friends, you go and make make friends that you want to keep for a lifetime ❤️

It's an ok place if your trying to grab a beer and hang with a couple of friends. The food is good. First time I been to an Irish pub with Mexican food lol . Food was surprisingly good and the beer was perfectly chilled.

Our server was the wife of one of the owners and she was amazing. Talk about feeling like you’re home. I had the black bean burger and it’s absolutely a must try for my fellow vegetarians or anyone looking for a meat alternative.

Interesting multi-ethnic themed neighborhood-type bar. Great service and a small but nice bar menu. Fun place to hang out on the outskirts of Poughkeepsie.

Mexican/American bar food with an Irish twist. They have something on the menu to suit all tastes. The staff always remembers me and greets me by name, amazing! Quickly turning into my neighborhood hang. Game night on Mondays is my favorite.

Such an unprofessional staff member. Didn’t get a name but she worked at 10:30 9/22. Likely drunk on the job. Started SCREAMING at a nice woman because she forgot her ID at home. We weren’t arguing at all and kindly started to leave. Started making wisecracks. NOT coming back here!

My dad and I visited for going to a yankee game. Drinks are great, and vibe is awesome. Good music, phenomenal food. Cheesesteak sandwich and nachos were fantastic.

Was in Poughkeepsie for work for a few weeks and my coworkers and we ended up going here several times. Highly recommend. Clem the bartender is a true blue human who knows how to handle a bar. Great service, great food, and also great live music. 10/10. Hope to be back someday.

Had my sister's 50th birthday party here last weekend - amazing great time!! Owner was super helpful in planning the menu and the staff pulled everything off perfectly! Great food, great atmosphere, great customer service - couldn't ask for more!!

We were pleasantly surprised. The food was really great especially the nachos. Bartender served us because it was earlier. Nice guy. Very pleasant visit. Definitely worth trying if you're in the area.

A small group of us went here on a Wednesday night after bowling. We got the pulled pork nachos, tacos and wings. The food was very good. I am Asian and and my friends were Mexican and Dominican and we all enjoyed the food.

Sadly it is so incredibly loud that it makes it impossible for the waitress to hear you. The food was still very good!

This bar is awesome! The food is incredible. The corned beef and cabbage spring rolls are a must try. The service is also excellent which is hard to come by these days. They are very willing to compromises when it comes to whats on the menu. Also very kid friendly. A really good atmosphere.

Went there on a Friday night for a drink and food. Service was friendly. Food was not bad. They had a duo performing. They sang for pretty much 3 hours straight. They did not have the other side open. Even though the bar was full and some tables we moved out due to the performance. Will go back and check out the karaoke and trivia set up

Really homey local bar owned by a brother and sister combo. The sister was there and really personable and informative. They kept the decor ( mostly) from the prior bar and that is a huge plus. Food was good, I had the wings which were done perfectly and my wife had the reuben. We will be coming back!

First time coming to Juan Murphy’s. Staff was so friendly. The atmosphere was comfy. The food was good and came out quickly. The prices are great too. Not bad for a good amount of food. I would definitely come back if I’m in the area.

This place is awesome, live music, dancing on Fridays and Saturdays. Great local bands! The food is great and menu is unique, with weekly specials! The staff (YAY!! Lia, Sam, Clem and Dave and whomever cooks that wonderful food!) and most of their many customers are even better!!! Lots of fun and new friends! Seriously, my only complaint is the smallish dance floor, lol!! My newest place away from home!!! ♥️

The people were very nice and catered to me very well they wouldnt let me get over intoxicated so that was nice they have good prices and great food for a bar. And they try to cater to all ages when i went it was older people but they had live music i had a great time thursday night. This place is the one I always prefer. I visit many restaurants but to this one I go the most. The stuff is very friendly and the food they offer is so fresh and tasty. I never decline to have a nice meal in this restaurant. Highly recommended.

Impeccable wings! And really fun trivia!! Had a great time here the service was great, the beers and margaritas are delightful and the whole atmosphere was just fun. First time doing live trivia like that and it's much more enjoyable than the silly tv one at bdubs. Very interactive and lovable patrons! Extra brownie points for having their own parking lot vs street parking 🤗 👍👍
