Arlington Reservoir

Tourist attraction Park

👍👍 I would give this ten stars if I could. It was recently renovated so the path is wider and smoother, especially good for those that aren’t so steady on their feet. There are many places to stop and enjoy the water views. It’s close to Starbucks and traders joes, path right off the minuteman bike pat... People often mention beach, playground, nice, path, walk, water, area,

I would give this ten stars if I could. It was recently renovated so the path is wider and smoother, especially good for those that aren’t so steady on their feet. There are many places to stop and enjoy the water views. It’s close to Starbucks and traders joes, path right off the minuteman bike path. They did a fantastic job on the beach area and kids playground. So much better now there’s a paved path through the sand. It’s also easy path access to Lexington Farm. A must see!

Since they renovated the beach it's absolutely great. Plenty of room for a lot of people (it helps that it's a $8 pp fee to get in), a lot of natural shade from trees, always fully staffed with lifeguards, new playground and restroom facilities. Perfect for kids, the water is mostly shallow so even a 4yo can enjoy it and older kids have a lot of swimming room. The water is treated somehow so it's not grimy, there's no seaweed or disgusting lake stuff like other lake beaches. Excellent beach for families.

Excellent place to go to go for a nice afternoon or make the day of it. From fishing to hiking with your dog. To the brand new playground. The lifeguards are on duty from , 10-7pm most days. Weather permitting. It's $2 pp if you don't have a pass. It has chlorine and a brand new filtration system working throughout the swimming area known as the Rez. On Fridays they have live music!! Dogs are not allowed on the beach except once for the end of the year on one day . Love this place. Wonderful people working there. Very helpful. Showers, feet, cleaners, refreshments, rental of some equipment (?) .

Definitely check out the Arlington Reservoir if you're in the Mt. Gilboa neighborhood of Arlington, MA! It's such an awesome community resource that has something for everyone. You can enjoy a fun day at the beach, let your furry friend play in the designated dog walk areas, take a stroll on the walking trails, or snap some amazing photos of the birds and scenery. And if you're up for even more adventure, be sure to stop by the nearby Minuteman Bike Trail and Lexington Community Farm. Trust me, you won't be disappointed!

Great place for toddlers and kids with a playground, bathroom, concession stand and clean water (at least in the morning). A little overpriced at $5pp, and the season is a little short (mid-June to mid-August), but a great resource to have nearby!

They have a brand new and very nice playground here. There's also a small beach on the reservoir, though I think you have to pay for that, so we didn't try that.

Nice place, unfortunately they close it to the public (paid only) during the warmer months. For town property, it should be accessible to all residents.

Nice walking/jogging path. New parking lot and play area. This is a pretty nice loop that I think is about a mile per loop

Nice little pond with a beach for swimming and playground for the kiddos. The beach has life guards and is open to non-Arlington residents. Parking is limited so you may need to park on the street. Admission is $6-8 cash or you can buy a season pass.

About a mile walk around the res. Nothing special but a good place for a quick escape/walk in the nature. A lot of dogs in the morning. There's a small playground and a public beach in the Summer.

It's a fun location in all four seasons. There's a perimeter walk/ride/jog path where pets are allowed. There is an enclosed section with a "beach" for families to frolic in. There is live music weekends throughout the summer and a pavilion you can book. And there is ample parking. Love this place.

It was great, plenty of shade, the water is warm and clean, attached to a playground and outdoor showers, even a snack bar!

This is an amazing place to swim, walk the trail and play in the children's playground. Arlington did an excellent and innovative job creating this clean, filtered and beautiful area by carving out a section of the actual reservoir and turning it into a swimming area. It is beautiful.

I live very close from here. I love going for walks there. The new playground is fantastic. So nice and clean. No restrooms available.

It's a decent spot, (better than nothing), the bath houses were clean, wish they had a shower, they have a nice foot-wash station for all the sand. They charge to enter and it's cash-only or you buy a pass online (summer 2021). Water gets crowded and is suuuper warm. Not refreshing on a 90 day.

This swimming hole has a nice feel. Surprisingly clean-seeming water. Chlorinated and filtered. Pretty pond surroundings.
