This review has nothing to do with the orthopedic area but the ER area of the hospital. My dad had an amazing experience with his knee surgery. But my dad went to the ER after his surgery because he had an excessive amount of bleeding so my mom rushed him to the hospital. My sister and I were worried and were trying to confirm they were safely at the hospital. When we called the woman at the front desk she confirmed they were there and hung up on my sister. She was very rude to my mom and never informed her that we called even after we obviously were worried. Also the ER doctor was sleeping when my mom arrived and made her concerns about my dad seem stupid. I have never heard of such unprofessional people who are supposed to be caring for people.

I would give the place 4.5 stars. I had foot surgery at this place with Dr.Crawford. Reception and check-in was quick and efficient, plenty of forms to be signed, payment to be taken. In we go, place is cold, but the staff tried to make it comfortable and draped me with warm blankets. The Dr. came in for the prep and staff instructions a few minutes after scheduled time. Shortly afterwards we are in the OT. There's music, jokes, pleasantries, someone grooving and singing along to the music. Professional and courteous at the same time, nothing wrong. Getting poked for the anesthesia and the tourniquet was probably the most uncomfortable experience, but necessary. Shout out to RN Margaret Hubbard whose compassionate and caring attitude stood out all along. Then get stitched up and sent to recovery room. Handed to the checkout nurse who was probably not enjoying her day or not happy about something but she kept things professional and bid me a speedy recovery as I limped out. One thing that's always tossed back and forth is if and what items would be covered by insurance. It puts the patient in a difficult spot.

Well, I don’t know why there are so many negative reviews but I can tell you I lived in Arlington for 16 years and I have fibromyalgia and herniated discs in my lower back and bulging discs in my neck. I went in to this emergency room, not knowing if I was going to be covered or not through my insurance, I was taken care of very well. The nurse was very nice to meet. The doctor explained everything to me. They even gave me a referral to another doctor and it would be able to help me with my condition, now that I am a patient of Baylor Scott and White. I have found that you can’t keep everybody happy you have to just go with the flow. Everybody has good days and bad days, but I cannot say that I was miss treated because I was not I was treated with respect they treated my condition. They gave me IV fluids and monitored me. They gave me injections for my pain And had me to stay there until my pain subsided to where I could drive myself home people in this world now want perfection and there’s no such thing as anyone being perfect life is too short to be able to let small things get to you if you treat people with respect, and you treat them with dignity, you will receive the same amount of treatment back if you treat somebody Bad or you disrespect them or you even roll your eyes at them of course they’re gonna look at you as you know what this person just wants to cause trouble so the way I look at it is you receive the treatment that you put out respect someone you receive the same And don’t forget to say thank you because these doctors and nurses are here to help us and it’s not easy for them since Covid hit this world has turned upside down and it’s going to take years before it’s turned right side up again and I notice that there’s a lot more hateful people out there and I notice that there’s a lot of doctors and nurses they’re actually quitting their jobs because it’s getting so stressful But I am grateful for the ones that have stuck in there and that are still there so before you judge a nurse that works here at this hospital or before you judge a doctor stop and think about the attitude you gave them when you walked in, you have to think it’s not easy Being in the medical field it’s a very difficult job to have. I should know I was a nurse for 25 years.

I met Allan Beck, the CEO of this hospital while having breakfast. I later met Janelle Yassan RN, the Clinical Director on the floor. They are both responsible for Baylor's incredible patient care system. My family member had a total hip replacement and I had real concerns regarding anesthesia and a slide toward dementia. Janelle personally took a great deal of time interviewing and making certain that all went well. As a further example of excellence that permeates Baylor, when I came to pick up my family member, the ER staff came through for me. I could barely walk due to knee issues that will eventually be addressed there. A very kind and alert nurse saw my dilemma, put me in a wheelchair and took me to the second floor. They made sure that I was taken care of and I wasn't a patient! Many of my family members have had procedures over the years at this facility and are very satisfied!

I had ankle surgery yesterday, with Dr.Crawford as my surgeon, everything went so smoothly and so peaceful, they listened to my concerns, and helped ease my mind about them, after one of the nurse heard my sister and I praying, she prayed over me as well, this meant the world to me, everyone from check in, to register, to pre- op, to the surgery nurse and the rest of the surgical team were kind and caring, they kept my sister up dated every step of the way, and as soon as I woke up and started to panic and ask for her, they got her quickly. I can't say enough good things about this team. Thank you for all you do.

EVERYONE WAS PROFESSIONAL AND FRIENDLY FROM THE TIME THAT I walked thru the door.My son who brought me was given a white paper sack with goodies in it and a thank you note for bringing me to their hospital. They sent him a text explaining their method of letting him know how my knee surgery was progressing. After I finally woke up from the surgery,I was treated so kindly by my nurse who stayed at my my side. She just let me chatter as much as I wanted. My short stay was a good experience.

Very dishonest and disorganized staff. Showed up for my procedure and was told that my procedure was not confirmed by Dr Troy Foster. I tried to show them my confirmation text and they were not having it. They lied by saying that they do not have Dr Foster’s number. Another person demanded the first person to step aside and changed the narrative that its my fault. Lied again by telling that they do not have a supervisor. They again lied by telling me that supervisor was informed but no one showed up. Left without having my much needed procedure and even an apology. Called & spoke to 2 person to take complaint but no follow up. Please don’t waste your time in this place

My daughter had surgery here last week and the care we received was top notch! From the moment we scheduled, to surgery arrival, throughout surgery and into recovery, everyone we came into contact with was fantastic. We are not local to this area and drove nearly 3 hours to receive care at this facility by the doctor we were referred to. I cannot say enough on how well my daughter was treated here. It was worth the trip!

Son went to hospital for high heart rate an was very ill. They treated him so foul. No updates an walk back in with dc papers. None of issues solved. When asked for supervisor they said was not one. They are rude. An don't follow policy. I will be sending a official complaint up chain of command. This is not how health care should be. I have been in Healthcare for over 25 years an not seen this amount of neglect.

Worst service by far. My grandmother had surgery there, and they were rude. I came in and asked could I please be taken to my grandmother in recovery. I knew it was time because I received a text message and the lady called a nurse to see if she was ready for me to go back. I don’t know what they was talking about in the phone but I do know that she just rudely said sit down and some will come out for you. So, now I waited for over 20 minutes for someone to call me and still no one did. I text the number back that texted me and someone said we’ll be out In 5-10 minutes. Still no one has came to get me. I asked the receptionist is everything okay with my grandmother and she stated that she was fine. So, why has no one called me to go back. This is unnecessary and honestly I’m worried. As a family member to a patient at this facility no one should feel like this. We put our faith in the staff at Baylor and for what to still have anxiety. How that’s crazy.

I was in this hospital for 3 nights after my bi-lateral knee replacement. I had such wonderful care! I felt as if everyone truly cared about my recovery and well being. I had immediate response from my call button. When being helped to the bathroom, the aide/nurse would always straighten my bed, fill my water jug, get new ice packs for my aching knees. Once while being helped in the shower, the aide came in with a warm blanket to dry me off. It was this extra kindness that makes this such a great hospital. I had my husband go home at night because we were so confident I would be taken care of and I was! The night staff (Larry!) Seemed especially attentive, being right on time with pain meds and believe me that is important! The food was even yummy! The therapist (love Cory!) Were encouraging and attentive. I had all confidence in Dr. Pond as my surgeon. He was very caring and professional. I would 100% recommend using this hospital.

Just finishing up my second knee replacement here at Baylor O&S hospital in Arlington. Difficult recovery coming but such nice, friendly service and competent staff from the nurses, techs, PT folks and doctors. My third surgery with Dr Kazewych went well again (knees and hip) Everyone knows I’m having a bad day so they go out of their way to make me comfortable. A bit of a surprise is their food which is restaurant quality with lots of choice. Note this is my 5th surgery here and they have been consistently great but perhaps they should have a frequent flyer program for folks like me? I feel like I’m already in first class.

Over charged bill has taken 7 months to get refunded, No one in finance answers the phone, emails go unanswered, It’s been a challenge to keep from yelling when someone actually contacts you, The financial department needs to be restructured from the top down!

checked by a doctor, send me to do a x ray, he said that wont work so sent me to take an MRI , then after 2 more appointments and $150.00 off my pocket to paid the "Doctor" he tell me needs another appointment, to see the MRI, another 50.00 bucks, he touch my knee, he ask pain, I said little, then he said needs surgery, call my assistance to set up appoint for surgery, after 3 calls, no answer from office, I decide to stay the way I m cause read internet that those surgery are not successful and your pain not going away, so I decide just left everything the way I was, my complaint is the after all this ordeal I end up paying for a bill of 2800.00 Dollars with insurance included. for nothing? how much will be out my pocket with surgery? I do not want to imagine the bill.....just money.

WARNING: Be aware of Billing and Customer Service Everyone gives out different information each month you call and each person you speak to. If I am making "consistent" payments each month, why would it go to collections? I have requested an itemized bill three times and no yet received, but you want me to pay what I cannot "afford" to pay each month. This department needs to learn customer service values. Most hospitals allow you to pay off one bill and continue the other until paid in full as long as payments are made monthly in like amount. This hospital want you to pay more than you can afford or you are threatened your file will go to collections after 90 days. Really... This is why people don't pay medical bills because no flexibility in clients accounts. One cannot tell me what to pay as no one plans a sickness and in this economy, no one has a money tree for hospital bills growing in the back yard. The best one I spoke to was Richard that made sense and he gets a 5 star, but Ashley and Christine needs to be FIRED!!!! I pay Baylor Scott and White Health FW each month and NEVER have had any concerns or THREATS if I don't pay a certain amount to both accounts. I pay consistent agreed amount on one and have agreed to begin the next once the first one is paid in full. That makes a lot of sense. I have two accounts just like your facility and it is depressing to call Billing and Customer service to make a payment because you get the speech of threats for collections if BOTH accounts are not paid each month and to tell me what I MUST pay instead of what I can consistently afford to pay. As stated earlier, I have asked for a detail billing of my charges three times, but they wanted to "deny my surgery" because I would not pay 20% upfront, which no one called me to tell me what to pay because I would have went to another hospital instead because had I had that type of $$$ I would have paid off the first bill. Be aware of this facility.
