Updated: my psychiatrist forgot to call in my prescriptions and now I'm going through withdraws. 100% would not reccomend!!!! I would like to write a good review but thus far I've had nothing but issues. 1st issue was my dr not telling me I had to take a drug test to get my meds refilled. It took me calling for 3 days and then having to go to the office to get my meds, so I went through withdraws 2. Sometimes my dr. Calls me 20-30min before my scheduled appointment and if I don't answer I have to wait 30min-1hr if I even get another call. 3. The customer service is sub par but the manager listened to me at least and is the only reason for the second star.

Horrible service. Forgets to call in refills and new scripts. When you call their VM is always full and you can never get them on the phone. Been without one med for 5 weeks and now my AD out by a few days. As you know you can't just stop these!!!! They dont care about your health as I complained to the office people twice before about how I didn't feel they took my health seriously. Last time I told them Ill give them one more chance. I never give bad reviews but this Dr's office completely deserves it. Meanwhile I bow need to find a whole nother Dr and start over to feel normal because they neglected my care. Sad because a trusted friend recommended me to them. Ridiculous! Run, Forest, run!!!!

If I could give less stars, I would. I strongly recommend not going to this office/provider. My previous provider retired and left Hawkins Psychiatry as an option in the area, which is how I ended up here. After my initial visit, one of my prescriptions was never sent to the pharmacy. I tried calling multiple times and could not get a refill until my next visit. I then got a brain scan, per doctor recommendation, and Iā€™m going on 6 weeks of not hearing back after calling for an update multiple times. Lastly, the week of the Thanksgiving holiday I was supposed to be scheduled for a follow up appointment, only they never scheduled it, didnā€™t send in any prescription refills, and didnā€™t answer the phone that week. Now Iā€™m left going through withdrawals and when I spoke to the receptionist today I was told that I would be put on a ā€œrefill listā€ and that Dr. Hawkins is a busy man- which is why it has taken 6 weeks to hear back. Itā€™s unfortunate and unethical that patients are being treated this way.

My son has been doing teletherapy for several months & they suggested a brain scan to better help with his medications & diagnosis. After the scan I was told Dr. Hawkins would call me to go over them with me... That was 3 months & at least 5 messages ago & every time I am told only Dr. Hawkins can review the scans with me & that they will send him another message that I called. Wish I had never chosen this office.

My mother has been going to this place for 4 years and it has gotten worse and worse. This last week her appointment was canceled twice and then when we finally got an appointment the prescription was sent to the wrong pharmacy. My mother has been without medication for 19 days because of their discrepancies. DO NOT USE THIS PLACE!

Dr Hawkins has been doing virtual visits with my son for about 4 months. He has done absolutely nothing at all for him. He makes you jump threw hoops to do a drug test and then the hurry and wait game. Last month he put him on Adderall, he's been out for 3 days, he was suppose to have a appointment last Thursday , no one called or texted, when I texted and asked about the appointment, they said we emailed you, (NO you did not) I was told that he would have another doctor call him that never happened. So yesterday I texted and they said that his appointment will be tomorrow at 2:45pm, so they called to get the deductible, and the doctor never called back. This guy is a joke, my son was diagnosed with ADHD 16 years ago, and this is the first time he has ever been treated badly by a doctor. I will be reporting this facility to the medical board. My doctor referred me to this place talked to someone and scheduled me for today 07/31 :at 9am for a virtual I sent my new patient form and insurance to them. 9am came no call so I called them for the receptionist to tell me my appointment was canceled because the doctor is not taking new patients. How am I supposed to know this? She put me on hold and came back to tell me she moved me to 3pm I should pay my copay of $36 while on the phone. I refused because I am not even sure if this appointment will happen at 3. I am not sure how professional this doctor is, the receptionist is just doing her job and the doctor is not. Shame on this doctor when people have mental health you are there to play with their emotions.

I've been going here for over a year. The fatal flaw in this psychiatric office is that none of the psychiatrists work here. I've had two different doctors here, they both work remotely and have to phone in the prescription to Dr Hawkins to have him write it. This rarely works out as planned. Two thirds of months, expect a 1 to 2 week delay before your prescription is sent to the pharmacy. If you are okay only taking medicine for half of the month, this Doctor's office might work well for you. If you don't want to be two weeks on, two weeks off of your medication, avoid this place.

I came here as a refurl by my PCP. The experience is not great. The appointments are almost never kept. I have to reach out to make sure it was entered. I get told my the psychiatrist that we have another appointment set then when the day comes it never shows that he had done it. This has happened 99.9% of the time. I have to take time off work or use lunch times for my appointments and then get contacted while on the job. I have been told I would be put in for medication several times but is never done. This puts me on edge and does not help my condition.

Getting my refills submitted is a legitimate hassle with this company. Even when I'm told they are sending it, they don't. I get lied to my face directly several times a day sometimes. And I have to put up with this monthly. Come on. Have some form of professionalism. Also they need a new voicemail system because it's awful.

What a mess! This place is terribly disorganized. They set up [virtual] appointments, and don't notify you. I get the call for the appointment at the time of the appointment. I couldn't take the call then, and they scheduled it for the following week. They didn't call during the agreed upon time, then when I called them, they said it was scheduled for the next day... but they never bothered to tell me that! Very unprofessional office.

It looks like I'm not the only one having issues getting prescriptions sent to my pharmacy. I've been a patient there for about 4 or 5 months now and not once has my prescription ever been sent in remotely on time. One month it was never sent it at all, and every month since then it takes 2 to 3 weeks for the doctor to finally send my prescription to my pharmacy. And this is after I call the office complaining several times. Each month I go without my medication for weeks and noone can give me answer as to what is going on. The office staff is useless and gives generic answers. It's extremely frustrating and has made my mental health issues worse!

I have been a patient since 2021 in TMS and in general psychiatry. Doctor Hawkins and the staff genuinely care about their patients. The office can get very busy, and, on occasion, phone calls or requests for information can slip through the cracks. This can be frustrating for patients, but I don't believe this happens from any malicious intent or incompetence. Emmilia is my TMS Tech and she goes above and beyond for me every single visit. She is compassionate and very good at her job. Covid protocols are adhered to here, which is really great. I'm giving five stars because compassion and professionalism outweigh small scheduling mistakes.

I suffer from Bi-Polar Depression. Dr. Hawkins and his staff of greatness has helped me create a goal and stay focused. This in itself helps control the anxiety, depression, and along with the right medications Iā€™m able to be myself keep a job I even own my own company. Thank you Dr.Hawkins. You have been a big part of my awakening to a life of confidence. Do I still get panic attacks? Of course! But they are by far so few I couldnā€™t say when the last time was that I had one. With the holidays upon us I find my confidence level a bit lower but slowly Iā€™ll come around. Again thank you Dr. Hawkins. Blessings to you your family and your staff. Happy Holidays Robert Fortier

THE OFFICE HAS MOVED!!! They are currently located in Mansfield at 2600 E Broad St. Suite 400, Mansfield, TX 76063. They will hopefully be moving back to Arlington eventually. I wish they would update their address on Google. I also have the problem with them calling outside of the appointment time. My appointments are normally scheduled while I'm at work, so I can only take the call at exactly the time I'm scheduled, not an hour before, not 5 minutes before. Doctors are not the only ones with busy schedules.

I donā€™t even know how theyā€™re still open. I was a patient there referred by my primary care doctor and I left about 3 months ago and found a REAL psychiatrist in Southlake. Not only I never did see Dr Hawkins but theyā€™ve messed up my prescriptions several times. They didnā€™t refill my Vyvanse even though I called 4 times beforehand and left me 5 days without anything and leaving me with all the side effects of not having my pills cold turkey. Talk about caringā€¦ Last time I spoke to my NP, CRYING mind you, she said if my meds didnā€™t work, there was nothing they could do and I should check myself into a mental health facility. What a jokeā€¦. Your staff is rude on the phone and you definitely shouldnā€™t be in care of peopleā€™ mental health. Sad.

I have never been met with the same amount of compassion and care that Iā€™ve been given by Emmilia and Dr Hawkins. It is so comforting to be in the hands of people who truly want whatā€™s best for you and will guide you through the hard times. I am very fortunate that my primary doctor referred me to the office. Although I wish there was an office closer to Burleson, the drive is worth it every time. I leave the office after each session feeling like itā€™s easier to breathe with the sense of clarity that I am in good hands.

They scheduled me contingent upon me sending a copy of my license and insurance card. I hear nothing close to my appointment so I call the day before to confirm. They confirm the appointment is still on, and they will call before the appointment to collect copay. I receive a text 15 minutes after the appointment was supposed to start saying my appointment was canceled as I didnā€™t fill out any paperwork. I never received any paperwork?? They could have told me the day before there was no paperwork filled out; why lie and confirm the appointment just to waste my time? Do better, administrative staff.

I see a lot of negative reviews about this place like many other doctors offices even my P.C & OBGYN all are good offices with attentive doctors. There have been a few times when I have to call in to get a prescription refilled which I have some patience with them because it is a large practice. I feel better today then I felt the day I became a patient and thatā€™s all I care about . Overall 10/10 recommend for care , just be patient & stay on top of your needs donā€™t expect others to.

I love Dr. Hawkins. He and his staff is are do pleasant to work with and I have been coming to him off and on for about 10 years. He always find a solution for whatever curve ball life throws me and after going to therapy consistently for about 3-6 months, I always come out feeling like myself again. When I need a recharge, I call on Dr. Hawkins. I give him and his staff a 10.

I am so glad I made the decision to switch providers & settled on Dr. Hawkins' office. For the last few years I have received top notch quality care AND customer service from the support staff here. I have been even more grateful for the way their office adjusted so well during the pandemic. The quality of care is exactly the same! Nurse Jackie & Toya are consistently on point.

I couldnā€™t be happier with Dr.Hawkins and his entire team, theyā€™re always willing to help answer any questions I have and for the first time in years Iā€™m able to fully understand my diagnosis and be treated. Thank You Dr.Hawkins and his Entire Team!

BEWARE! DO NOT GO HERE! My husband was on a medication and Dr. Hawkins spoke about POSSIBLY reducing the dosage, but said theyā€™d discuss at the following appointment. I went to pick that Rx up for him and they had put it in wrong by placing a name hold on it. I called the office and they said theyā€™d work on it. I waited 45 min for them to get it worked out. I was patient and the pharmacist called back to confirm it was being sent and they said yes. Office closed at 5 and they hadnā€™t sent it. Pharmacist called back and it went straight to voicemail. They finally sent it a few minutes later and it was HALF THE DOSING HE HAD BEEN TAKING. They knew we would be calling to address it and sent it at close. WHO PLAYS GAMES WITH PEOPLEā€™S PRESCRIPTIONS!? To make matters worse, this was right up against the holiday season. When I called the doctorā€™s office to find out why, because my husband was stressed out, they simply said ā€œhe cut the dose in half.ā€ WITHOUT A PROPER DISCUSSION OR PLAN OF ACTION. Furthermore, I requested that the doctor please set up an appointment or call to discuss but he never did. Another thing to note: he had told my husband that the tests they performed his first visit signaled that he would have early dementia. That was disheartening to learn and I had requested an appointment to discuss the details and I never got that call. WORST DOCTOR WE HAVE EVER DEALT WITH.

This place sent me to Ethos labs to leave a urine sample- it was in the same office so I just assumed it was all covered with my insurance for the visit. They didnā€™t inform me it wasnā€™t covered by my insurance. The reason was to test for drugs in my system if theyā€™re going to prescribe me a controlled substance. Then they tested it again a few weeks later. Little did I know I was going to be billed a few thousand dollars for each visit! That was a lovely surprise a week or 2 after having it done! (Yes that was sarcasm!) Otherwise I would have refused! So I went through my secondary insurance to try and get these ridiculous amounts covered. To do this I have to file the claims and send them off to CHAMPVA myself. I called up the office to get their tax identification (TIN) number to send off the claim and the lady over the phone told me that they do not give that number out to patients. When I tried to explain my situation about trying to claim and file myself, the lady literally hung up on me! Didnā€™t say a thing about helping me figure out who to contact to get it, just hung up as I was in the middle of explaining! I donā€™t understand whatā€™s wrong with this place but everywhere else Iā€™ve been for treatments have happily just given me this TIN number over the phone for me to file myself. The amount of bad reviews about this place is unnerving. Iā€™m considering just finding somewhere else. Itā€™s clear that Iā€™m not the only one being screwed over. Itā€™s clear the office staff are completely unprofessional and rude and if it wasnā€™t for the psychiatrist Iā€™m seeing (Etienne Poufong, who in my opinion is very nice and understanding) I would have left and gone somewhere else a long time ago! For being a psychiatry office the staff donā€™t seem to handle dealing with patients very well. This is a place where anxious/ depressed/ people with serious mental health issues go to get help and the view they get as soon as they step through the front doors is incompetent, rude staff! It doesnā€™t exactly give off a nice first impression for people. I wouldnā€™t recommend this place to anybody, simply because of the office staff and serious lack of organisation. (Again, I canā€™t say anything bad about Etienne because Iā€™ve only had positive experiences with his therapy).

This review is on Emmelia D. She is Dr. Hawkins tech and she is AMAZING! She did my momā€™s TMS treatment for depression and anxiety. She makes a difference with her passion for her job and the patients well being. She is genuine, friendly, compassionate, and personable. My mom and I are beyond grateful for her. Keep up the amazing job. Emmelia! Thank you for all youā€™ve done.
