Picked up a large oxtail, peas/rice, steamed veggies today. Firstly, the gentleman that greeted me was just that, a gentleman...I received a warm welcome which is imporant to me as a patron. Secondly, the portions for the $20 large dish was very much worth the price! Wow...so many oxtails and they were not those itty bitty pieces the neighboring jamaican restaurants are serving {along with bad attitudes}! Lastly, the oxtail were "fall off the bone" tender and flavorful, as was the veggies. 10 out of 10 in satisfaction!

This is my favorite place to get Jamaican food. I've tried almost every West Indian restuarant in Poughkeepsie and they all pale in comparison to Royal Blends. You can always get fresh, delicious plates and the customer service is superb. You may have to wait a bit if its during peak hours but its well worth the wait. The oxtail is my favorite--its succulent, well seasoned and the gravy is immaculate, its not oily or watery, its just perfect. I also love the curry chicken, my brother loves the jerk and fried chicken. if you haven't been before, please check it out.

Very good food. The wait is too long. Choices were a little limited. Prices are good. Had i not traveled an hour to sample the food i would’ve went elsewhere. Buti just got off work and was tired. So it could’ve been me lol. The wait was too long. But after waiting, once i got home and cracked that food open i realized it was worth the wait. I will go back without a doubt i will just call or order in advance. Staff is friendly and did i mention i found the location because i could smell the aroma when driving by?!.

This establishment is very clean and Covid-19 friendly and the Oxtail beans, fried chicken and macaroni and cheese is hands down the best soul food here in Poughkeepsie. The food was absolutely delicious to say the least 😋

New to Poughkeepsie and I found my Jamaican spot ! The food was delicious and the customer service was awesome! I will recommend royal blends to anyone new to Poughkeepsie trying to find that right Jamaican spot . And myself will be a regular. :)

Really Great Jamaican Restaurant. The taste reminds me of home and the food is cooked right and seasoned wonderfully. A lot of care and preparation went into the meal.

The owners/servers are the nice, friendly people. They interact with customers all the time. Portions are very good. The peanut porridge is out of this world! 😋

Food is so good, tasty not bland..The kitchen is very clean you can see the area where they cook. Would definitely recommend. Their always friendly and welcoming too.

I am new to Poughkeepsie while visiting another restaurant I was recommended this restaurant for curry chicken dinner. When i arrived the space was very clean and the kitchen was keeping up with the Friday crowd. I ordered my curry chicken candied yams and cabbage with a side of sweet plantains. The meal was very delicious and satisfying. I am from Brooklyn New york and i have had a little trouble finding a restaurant that felt like home this restaurant brought that feeling. i will be returning often to try more of their menu.

still thinking about the jerk turkey wings a week later, can't wait to go back. 100% recommended.

I used to love this place had to switch my rating from 5 to 1 I just paid $20 for rice barely any oxtails or Mac and cheese I’m disappointed probably my last time going here
