Kasaguadua is one of a kind! By staying here, will learn about the eco reserve, the rainforest, the country’s history, the plants, animals, and the magic of it all~ in a way that is kind to the environment. Carlos is very knowledgeable and his deep understanding of this special piece of nature will enrich your experience in a huge way. The jungle pods are comfortable, cozy, sustainable, and (impressively) weather proof. I experienced a few major storms during my stay, and felt more connected to the rainforest than ever before. Don’t let weather get in the way of your plans~ this is the jungle in its authentic form. Bring a book, rain boots, an open mind, and be prepared to get a little dirty. Thank you Carlos and thank you to the Andean rainforest for teaching me lessons I will remember forever!

Stayed at Kasaguadua for one night, loved this environmental focused lodge and learned many things about this rainy cloud forest. Claros is knowledgeable and passionate, he is a good mentor and friend. The main common area is well decorated and comfortable.

Carlos’ passion and knowledge made this tour a must to understand everything about Colombia through the unique ecosystem here. It’s a real eyeopener for me and I have learnt so much in the 2 hours and 15 minutes. Thanks for preserving nature for all of us. The tour is must do when in Salento. Such an inspiration.

I would recommend Kasaguadua Reserve to everyone. Unique eco-pods surrounded by cloud forest, waking up to the birds, and feeling at home with the comforts of wifi, hammocks and hot showers! Willy and Sara were amazing, and really added to the stay here in the cloud forest (they were especially kind when we forgot our coats). Both extremely welcoming, kind, and hilarious! Kasaguadua and the team were a highlight to our trip to Colombia - do not miss out on this opportunity. Muchas Gracias Willy & Sara! Henry & Emma

We didn't stay at Kasaguadua (unfortunately) but we did the forest tour with Carlos, a truly inspiring and enjoyable experience where we had the chance to learn more about the cloud forest ecosystem. Carlos is a great guide, very knowledgeable and with a contagious passion for nature and sustainability. Definitely recommend the tour, and would love to check out the accommodation too if I'm ever again in the area (we did get to visit the lodge with the tour, seemed wonderful).

This review is about the walking tour - which was really fantastic. We were a large group of around 15. The guide (Balder) was very passionate and interesting. We walked from Salento town for about 45 minutes. About an hour in you get to the lodge accommodation, where you can use the toilets (as long as you are not taking antibiotics due to their water purification system). It is a fabulous place! Please bring insect repellent! We were lucky and saw some interesting birds, including an owl. After the tour we then went for lunch at a cafe about ten minutes up the road, recommended by the guide.

Everyone who comes to Salento needs to do this tour!!! The walk there and back is nice too. Amazing eco-lodge to stay in, or to visit for a two hour guided tour through the rainforest and the rehabilitation project. All funds support conservation. Knowledgeable guides who are deeply interested in the ecology. Great English too!

Fascinating tour of the reserve with Carlos who has been leading the conservation effort here. He speaks perfect English and imparted a huge amount of specialist knowledge to us about the phenomenon of the cloud forest, plant and fungus behaviour in tropical environments, permaculture, and following your dreams. I hope Carlos and William’s efforts are supported as they deserve, and that their project at Kasaguadua thrives. Thank you for a fascinating tour, Carlos!

Amazing place, very informative tour and with a solid philosophy about sustainability that is much more than just a show and tell of the plants. I learned a lot about nature in general as well as the specific location. Don't miss it! The lodge looks like a great place to stay too. A worthy mission to support.

We did a eco tour with Carlos, a man that knows everything and more about the nature, sustainable solutions and preservation. It is truely the best tour I ever had, wish I knew I could have stayed there to sleep before coming. A lot of information and super good vibes, really recomend it :) We got Lucky to see a snake Carlos never had seen in the last 10 years, feeling blessed!!! Love to see the love he has for nature and the region :)

We had high expectations after reading the reviews and they were all true!! Carlos is an amazing, funny guide. He explains everything so well and on beginners level that even people like me, who are not even that interested, would understand and are captivated by the stories. The lodge seems amazing (if we had known we would def had slept there). Highly recommended!!
