This hidden gem right outside of Filandia is the perfect getaway for anyone who’s an cycling enthusiast or simply enjoy staying in design boutique hotel with quality hospitality and waking up to great nature right outside your room (also a 1k trial on site perfect for a brisk walk). Guests can rent bikes or ebikes to explore nearby towns and landscape. The owner and manager family David and Juan go out of their way to take great care of their guests and interacted with us with passion and respect. I stayed in May 2023 celebrating my 50th birthday with friends from England. We all had probably the most amazing time ever ! Rooms, food and the location are just stunning. Massive kudos to Juan, David and Laura Andres manchola

We stayed at Casa Du Velo during a bikepacking trip and immediately fell in love with this hotel. The rooms and amenities are beautiful and impeccable. The staff members were incredibly attentive from the moment we checked in until the day we left. The cycling experience from Casa Du Velo was as expected; challenging and rewarding with beautiful scenery of the coffee region. The food was prepared with fresh local ingredients and the coffee was always delicious. Location is perfect! Close to local attractions and still secluded and quiet. We will be coming back.

I am a cyclist who came to Colombia for a few weeks. I can only talk about my own experience about « Casa du Velo » and I can only talk about my own experience, and clearly, it was not positive: On Friday, while riding from Quimbaya to Filandia, I wanted to stop for a quick drink+food break. No, I was not a hotel customer. It was around 5pm. The door was closed. Conversation in Spanish. I basically asked « can I get in for a coffee? » « no, sir. we are closed ». « Tomorrow is Saturday. I assume you won’t be closed. Can I come for a coffee? ». « No sir, you can’t come except if you have a booking ». End of conversation. I went back to my bike and climb the last 3k’s and had a wonderful stop there. Casa du Velo? Well, mate be. But to me, it is not a house for cyclists… That was my terrible experience. Incredible to see a place for cyclists refusing contact with cyclists except if they are hotel customers…

This place is amazing into every detail. David the host is fantastic and is so service minded and knowledgeable. The view is mind blowing, the nature magnificent and it’s so peaceful. We stayed here two nights after two hectic and busy weeks traveling around Colombia 🇨🇴

Exceptional hotel experience. The architecture and grounds were modern, beautiful, and relaxing. Food was fresh and healthy. Service was world class; David and Juan (manger/son and father/owner) were incredibly friendly and helpful. They paid attention to every detail. We went cycling for two days of our stay, including one with David. But you don’t need to like cycling to enjoy this wonderful hotel.

Perfectly placed in the centre of cycling heaven, this is a must stay hotel whatever type of cycling is your thing. Amazing facilities, service and food as well as expert advice on what routes to take or not to take.

If you love cycling this place should be on your bucket list. Simply amazing! Juan and David were superb. Hope I can visit again soon.

Speechless experience. The arquitecture, the nature, the service, the food, the warmness... everyone have to come at least once. The town where is located is gorgeous, a lot of beautiful hand crafted.

A great design that plays for those who love the bicycles. Tall sealings plus an extraordinary decoration of wood and little lands of water makes this hotel a place where you will love to stay one day more and one day more. The service is magnificent and always fast with anything that you need. And the big spaces play perfectly with the green nature that surrounds Filandia and the farms aside. This could be the only hotel that I know in the Coffee Region that the make a perfect mix between comfort, nature and the passion for the bicycles. 100% recommended for everyone and more for those that have left their bicycles at home.

Simply amazing place, architecture and the owners who really took care of our three guys cycling team. This was the best cycling hotel I have ever visited in my life after cycling in French Alpes, Dolomites and other top cyclin destinantions in Spain and Italy. Simply outstanding and also very good for non cycling turists. Many thanks for Juan and his wanderfull Wife !

We were there Feb 2019, sadly only for one day. The rooms are beautiful, the view breathtaking, breakfast was great and they can help you with all your cycling needs. The riding around this hotel is excellent (be warned, it's hilly) and the near by town of Filandia is super cute (with great coffee and food too). I wish we could have stayed for longer!

The best hotel in the area (Colombian coffee region) — by far. The architecture of the hotel was awarded third place in the Colombian Biennale. The service is impecable, the food is exquisite and the surroundings are jaw-opening.

Cycling paradise in the Colombian coffee mountains. 10-room hotel where you can explore various cycling routes, end your day with a massage, delicious food, and relaxing mountain views. Non-cycling guests can visit local attractions like horseback riding, famous Parque del Cafe, Panaca, etc. Highly recommended, operated by its owners.
