A really beautiful little church at the centre of the very small old town area of Arrecife, the interior is beautifully decorated with a wonderful Andalusian wooden ceiling. Very ornate. The whole building looks like it was built from the local volcanic rock. Wonderful sense of peace inside. Open most of the day, Mass Monday to Friday 7.30pm and 10.30 am and Noon on Sunday.

The beautiful and not large parish church of St. Ginés. A.D 1798. St. Ginés is located on Plaza de Las Palmas in Arrecife. I visited church inside in March 2014. There is a unique silence inside, which allows you to focus your thoughts on what was in your life and what may happen. It's worth going inside and spending a short time focusing your thoughts. The interior of the church will surround you with half-darkness and candlelight. It’s a truly wonderful place.

Beautiful ❤❤. Attended 12 noon Sunday Mass... side altar with Our Lady and Crucified Christ is VERY moving. Side room with Consecrated Eucharist in adoration in a glass case with cherubs ... magnificent. Just a pity it doesn't keep the door open long after mass... its locked up most of the day which is a shame, but possibly a security necessity. But a pity nonetheless.

A beautiful place of worship with a profound sense of peace within. Open for you to visit outside of the scheduled service times it allows you time to sit quietly and think.

Escape the heat in this cool 17th century church. Wandering around the streets near the waterfront will keep catching glimpses of a distinctive bell tower of the 17th century church Iglesia de San Ginés de Clermont. Once you find it and go into its cool interior you'll find many wonderful details including the wood panelled Mudéjar-style ceiling. Check out the beautiful statue of the Virgin and Child at the side. The Virgin wears the 'Assunta' crown of 12 stars... As I was working out the best place to photograph her face, I realised you really do need to be kneeling right beneath her - in the place of a Pilgrim - if she's going to look directly into your eyes!

I am not a religious person but I love the peace and tranquillity you find in chapels and churches. This is one of the best. Beautiful.
