The CIC is housed in an original Canarian building, providing a series of spaces to hold cultural exhibitions in. We visited in June 2019, and the current exhibition is of canvases by Ildefonso Aguilar. These consist of textured pictures of volcanic landscapes, depicting an understandable link between Lanzarote and Iceland. The pictures are displayed on three levels, reached by stairs. There's a fourth subterranean level where an audiovisual display of rock formations is shown against the walls of the cellar. This was very atmospheric and worthwhile taking time to appreciate the changing images. The entire exhibition is free entry. There is also access via the El Almacen bar next door. For the lower levels this has a lift or alternatively you use an attractive wooden staircase. According to staff there, opening hours remain the same after this exhibition finishes on 13th July. Super intimate cinema showing a selection of art house films in film’s original language with Spanish subtitles (where necessary)

A fabulous transformation from when last I went , the bar is bright, vibrant and oozes an air of young and trendy but with men and women of all ages present. It appears to have an art house style cinema above it so when my Spanish improves sufficiently I will be back for that.... in the mean time I shall enjoy "practising" my Spanish in the bar where the beer was delicious and the tapas looked splendid. Well done to all involved :-)

An Art centre with an interesting set of rooms for exhibiting art. There were two artist's exhibiting and both shows were well worth seeing. The centre has regular events and activities plus has what looks like a very nice wine & tapas bar. I hope to re-visit and find out more!

A lovely hidden gem of a place, it is hidden away a few streets back from the sea front but well worth the visit, It is a local cultural center based around an old work place for the island's most famous son Cesar Manrique, lovely little restaurant and bar with very reasonable prices for great food, very much a locals place.

A fabulous venue with local artwork exhibitions, very well curated and all free

The artwork on show would not be to everyone's taste but we liked it and intend revisiting on our next trip.

Good for a beer and sharing some food but it's not a restaurant. Staff was not really prepared regarding the food, allergies info were not readily answered
