I've been going to Jeanell since she started at Rontal 8 years ago. She keeps impeccable records on the colors I choose, and is always willing to try new things for fun. I love my hair every time she does it! Even when I moved up to the bay area for a few years, every trip back here included a stop at Rontal. Every one of the hairdressers are always chatting and catching up with their clients, and the ladies at the front desk are always so sweet.

I was looking for a new stylist as the one I previously went to had a baby and was on leave. I was referred to Danielle or Daniella. It had been over a year since I had my hair done due to COVID. I told her I wanted highlights and low lights as that was what I had done previously and came out really nice, and showed her the pictures of what I was looking to achieve. She suggested I only do highlights, so I decided to go with her opinion thinking she knows best. As far as the cut I told her I potentially wanted to do some layering to have some more fullness and body, she suggested I didn't, so I payed $60 for a basic trim and she did not offer to style it. I was definitely not in love with my hair when I left the salon, but I did not realize how bad the highlights were until I got home. I had people asking me at work if I tried to do my own hair or let a friend do it. I was pretty horrified as I am getting married in a month, had a photo shoot coming up just weeks later and multiple other wedding events. I called the salon to let them know how unsatisfied I was with my service and I also sent pictures to the stylist. I let the manager know that I obviously did not want to go back to the same stylist, as she thought my hair looked great when I left the salon, and I needed this fixed ASAP. I asked if there was anything they could do for me, she said she would speak with the owner and return my call. Never returned my call. I sent an email explaining my situation and how unhappy I was, and still they never responded. I finally decided to ask the stylist for a refund, which she agreed to, however, basically made me make an appointment with her to go and pick up the money as I paid in cash. The times she had available for me were only when I was working so it took 3 weeks out for me to get the refund at a time we could both agree on, for something that was going to take less than a minute of her time to do! She refused to give it to the manager or let anyone else come and pick it up. She said I needed to come and pick it up myself directly from her. When I did finally go in, she was extremely uncomfortable and weird about it. I was able to get into a different salon right away that took great care of me. It cost me double the price and double the time to fix what she did! I will be telling everyone I know to avoid this salon!

I am loving my new highlights from Daniella at Rontal Salon in Arroyo Grande! I have been wanting to try out warm sun-kissed golden highlights for a long time now; however, I was waiting until I could find a professional like Daniella. My skin tone has both olive and pink undertones, which can make it difficult to find the right tone of highlights. This is true for makeup colors too. Daniella assured me that she could provide expert color along with a cut that featured my new highlights to their best advantage. Well, she did exactly that and I am in love with my new look. In the future, I would like to experiment with different hair colors. I am thinking chocolate brown with a few face framing highlights for winter perhaps? Regardless of what color and cut that I decide to try on for the season, I feel very confident that Daniella will be able to deliver the look that I desire. The salon and the front desk person could not make up for my horrible stylist. I wanted a trim and paid a hyper inflated price. From start to finish was one issue after another. I could write out the whole ordeal, but I will summarize it down. When I realized the stylist was using thinning shears on my curly hair I audibly said “oh no”. If you don’t know… my hair is a frizzy ratty mess. I left feeling disrespected and taken advantage of over a trim and shape. I am sure the other stylists are great… if you get booked with Terry just know you’ll leave with a bad experience and a bad haircut. Nice shop and receptionist, I really wanted to like the place and return

Best hair salon ever! Rick, the owner is amazing, Diane is so good, and my hair stylist Paige is the best!! She does great color and a great short haircut and color (I have short hair).

Diana has always taken very good care of me. It's like I'm 10 years younger after she gets done with me. Love her to death.

I cannot say enough good things about Daniella and her skill set! I am new to this area and I am so grateful to my friend for giving me her name as a referral. I was desperate for a cut and color and she immediately scheduled me in. I have never found a stylist that gave me exactly what I wanted. Not only did Daniella do that but she went above and beyond! My hair came out so good I was getting compliments at the grocery store! Not only is she great but the owner Rik is the kindest and most welcoming person. Pricing is more reasonable than most for the quality you get. Do yourself a favor by calling Rontal Salon and make an appointment with Daniella!

I was recommended Rontal Hair Salon through a friend. When I called the Salon, I spoke with Lela. She is the manager and she was very helpful and treated me wonderfully. For years I’ve had long and thick one length straight black hair. I was very apprehensive to let someone cut long layers and curtain bangs into my one length hair. But because of Danielle’s expertise and talent I instantly knew I could trust her. She did a fabulous cut on my hair and I LOVE it! I now have an awesome new hair stylist! And Rick, the owner of the Salon , was very professional and friendly.
