Not the first time we have had Sunday lunch and definitely won't be the last. A family run business who are the most charming and helpful. Traditional surroundings and atmosphere which is hard to come by these days. Take my advice and make a visit it will be worth it.

Food fabulous, staff very friendly. Rooms a bit tired but to be expected after lockdown. Location great for Bognor and Littlehampton.

Great place for a weekend break, rooms were clean and well presented and the staff were welcoming from the moment we walked in and couldn't have been more helpful. Breakfast was fantastic too, we totally recommend.

Staff were lovely. Food was superb. Room was small, expensive and the bed dipped in the middle. The room was too hot with only one tiny window which would not open properly.

I tend to go once a month to the regular quiz night they host. When there, my wife and I have a meal. The food is superb and the staff are very friendly and helpful. Buy do make sure to book in advance as it can get busy. Highly recommended.

Enjoyed a wonderful lunch at The Elmer. The Sunday Roast did look very tempting, but I couldn't turn down the Steak & Kidney Pudding specially when you can swap creamy mash for gorgeous chips, perfect and the service could not have be better. Thank you The Elmer.

Had a lovely Sunday lunch. It was busy but service was reasonably quick considering how busy they were. We had a table for 5 and, although it didn't bother me, some of our party didn't like the fact that it's dog friendly. They found it a little smelly with so many dogs in the eating area.

Fรณod was ok. Gammon, egg and chips. Gammon very thin and a bit dry. No peas or any kind of veg. Had a frangipane and custard. Frangipane was cold and custard luke warm. Not rushed off their feet. Dining room was very quiet so not in a rush. Was ok but won't rush back.

I'm really upset and unhappy to have to leave this review. My dad was on his 8th visit to this pub/restaurant when I (his son) had booked time off work to come and visit him at his holiday home and come to his favourite holiday pub. The food was excellent and the bar staff were super helpful and very friendly... apart from one older gentleman, who seemed to very off hand with my dad and myself when we asked how he was, which is fine, we get that its a stressful role. However, when we had paid and decided to leave, the same gentleman ran outside the pub, and accused us of not paying our bill. I would like to remind the reader, at this point, that this was my dad's 8th visit to the Elmer. (He paid every time). We were all really upset with this reaction and unfortunately, marked the final visit my dad, my sister and I will ever make to this pub. Very sad.

Came here for a family dinner, there was a miscommunication about our booking and the manager was rude on the phone beforehand and then rude when we arrived making us feel uncomfortable. The food was average. The cabin is just down the road with much nicer staff, nicer food and more reasonable price. If we did not have hungry kids we would have just left but we will not be going back.

Went for Sunday lunch with an elderly relative. Very accommodating in getting the wheelchair to the table and also offering a smaller sized roast for them. The food was delicious and service with a smile. Glad to be able say this is 'our local'.

Lovely spacious and friendly pub, they even reserved a table for us to watch a live band, my daughter os currently in a wheelchair and all the staff were so helpful and went out of their way to make sure we was looked after. The waitress with the long blonde hair tied up was exceptionally helpful, well done to all and thank you ๐Ÿ‘ ๐Ÿ˜Š
