Wasnt hopeful on arrival but greeted by a lovely friendly lady, seated to suit us. Ordered at the bar with adaptations to our meals to suit everyones needs. Food arrived in good time,well presented and plentiful. Qe all enjoyed. Great value for money too! Will vist again

Me and my wife had a lovely lunch time meal here for our 25th anniversary the staff was very welcoming warm and friendly would highly recommend.

Just been here for the first time to have a meal. We were dealt with by Chris, the Manager mainly & also the Chef. Both were professional, polite & friendly. We had a brief chat with Chris who is a really lovely, approachable man & made us feel very welcome. We had the Halloumi Fajita & Fish & Chips - both were excellent value for money, well cooked, generous portions & very tasty. The crumble & brownie were both delicious too. It was a friendly atmosphere as well. We noted the themed evenings too of Poker nights, Quiz nights etc, which is great to appeal to various clientele. Really happy with the meal & fantastic service from Chris - so, thank you & we will happily be returning soon!

Michael has revitalised the pub both inside and outside. As a Mitchell’s & Butler share holder I’m telling you that you’re extremely lucky to have someone of his calibre.

Micheal and the team could not have been more helpful in looking after us for a last minute booking of 24! Micheal went out of his way to make sure we were all looked after and thank you to the chefs . Food came out all together and hot . Not easy with so many of us . I can not thank you enough for making this occasion so special

We had a booking for 22 at the Whestsheaf. Michael and his team went above and beyond to make it special for us, Michael even coming in on his day off! We had our own little area that was decorated beautifully. The kids had colouring and activities that kept them entertained. The food was fabulous, freshly cooked and hot. Nothing was too much trouble! We were all staying at Butlins so it was very refreshing to be able to step away and eat at a local restaurant. The cost is so good for what you get! I would honestly recommend the Whestsheaf to everyone and will be coming back on our next visit to Bognor. Thank you again Michael

We booked a table to dine before checking into Butlins! Micheal greeted us as we arrived and told us we could choose any table we liked. Michael made a fuss of our daughter and asked her to draw a dinosaur then after her dinner she could choose some sweets from the jar behind the bar! YES! 5 minutes peace for adult conversation! The food was piping hot and delicious, served in a timely manner. Service was fantastic every step of the way. We loved it so much we returned 2 days later for lunch! Thank you Michael and the team.

Food was OK but the service was fantastic the staff couldn't do enough for you. A nice wee place if you want cheap food and great service.

Visited here while on a visit to family and i have to say i was impressed. I'm not a pub goer but i felt comfortable in there and the staff were very friendly. I have to shout out Jody, she made us feel welcome and made sure we were well looked after. The food is great value for money and the live sport was an added bonus!

Very helpful staff assisting with app and promotions. I had the 8oz steak and chicken fillet, the steak was inedible, very disappointed, had to return meal and opt for the hotdog, as I felt another steak might be the same and I didn’t want to keep my party waiting any longer

Had meal today, other half 66 year old birthday. Used a groupon voucher. One of the best meals we have had in a long while. 2 starters, 2 mains. Food cooked to perfection and hot. Good size portion even though we used a groupon voucher. Looking at the menu, prices are very good even without voucher. Will definitely be returning. Bar manager / owner? especially very friendly /perfessional.

Decent food, friendly staff. I would say this particular link in the chain is geared slightly more as a sports bar than restaurant, but this was offset by the staff member that brought some menus and colouring paraphernalia for the kids, we had lovely food and my wife was very impressed with her sizzling veggie Fajitas. We cleared our plates, so if that's not a good sign, I don't know what is.

Overall a good experience. Arrived swiftly. Ordered Sizzling plate steak and chicken 🐔. Onions tasted like they were boiled, I thought they would cook on the hot skillet plate but they didn't. Scampi and chips were lovely.

Came in for a drink and found the pub and staff very welcoming and friendly. Wide range of drinks and nice food. Wasn’t planning on eating but ended up having some chicken wings which were lovely. Hannah and Lenny were very helpful and made me feel like a regular

Thank you for restoring our faith in at least one sizzling pub. A very nice experience where we were served by caring, friendly staff. Our meals arrived promptly, of good quality for my sons repeat 21st birthdays after a disaster meal at the Southdown Sizzling pub two weeks ago. I just wanted to show you the quality meals that THIS Sizzling pub serve in comparison with the same meal at the southdown a mile or so away. These people went out of their way to get things right for us and we thank you for a really nice experience. Tables were clean, our table was ready for us in a nice area of the pub. All round 100% better than the southdown. Look below at the lovely meal at the Wheatsheaf compared to what the shriveled up offering from the Southdown. This, believe it or not, is the same meal at a different pub. Thanks again to the staff for an enjoyable evening without problems.

Lucky enough to pop in with a live band for Halloween. Good beer good atmosphere. Definitely a good pub with the support of the locals.

Great food, service and spotlessly clean

It's OK for a cheapish meal, menu is limited if vegan, out of 3 choices the vegan lasagne is still unavailable... Long wait for food for no apparent reason... Would be nice to be kept informed if there was a delay... They then lost us in the restaurant...... Nice friendly and helpful dark haired bar manager, who seems to be picking up the pieces of the other staff...

Came here this afternoon for drinks and carol served us , what a wonderful lady very pleasant and polite …. We came back tonight and was served by a lovely young girl 👧 and ordered food which you could not fault very delicious 🤤 the manager Chris was chasing his tail as the restaurant was busy and such a happy character love ❤️ him and if I’m in Bognor again I will be back ….. thank you so much for your hospitality…

In daytime, a good quiet spot for the older brigade to relax with a beer or coffee and play pub games. Basic but fair priced food and beer. Clean tidy, plenty of space.

Never known a pub to refuse to add more cheese to cheesy chips in my life.. scarce amount of cheese as it is.. shouldn't be called cheesy chips.. simply just chips!!
