Lovely! Very neat and quiet. Inexpensive but cozy. This time I went they were not serving breakfast, but you have a kitchen to cook or make coffee. I felt very much at home in the room, the bed was comfortable and clean.

Definitely the best hotel I stayed in Kurdistan, sparkling clean, super nice staff, nice price and in the middle of Sulimanie!! Shah, the owner, is lovely, always ready to help. And mostly important, they are motorbike friendly and have parking with 24/7 video surveillance to safely park your moto! Thanks again, I will come back for sure!

We had a really great time at this hotel. The location in the middle of the city is unbeatable. The rooms were clean and we slept very well. There is a small kitchen in the common area with free water and tea. We were able to meet a few other travellers here, which was nice. The manager is very friendly and helpful. He gave us many tips and hints for our further route. We can only recommend this place. 👍

Arrived in Suleymaniyah quite late at night from Erbil. Good rooms, located right next to the market, owner is super nice. Price was competitive with other cities in Kurdistan. I’d come again. Showers had insane water pressure and good hot water too.

This is the second time I’ve stayed here , and I really feel like it’s a home away from home. The staff are so helpful and accommodating , as well as always excited to give you tips or helpful advice on getting around the city. The work the hotel has done on the upstairs lounge and breakfast area really is incredible, and adds so much to the value of this stay, right in the heart of Slemani. If you’re traveling through, and want the best central stay spot to experience Sulaymaniyah, you really can’t get much better.

I spent two nights in this hostel, the accomodation is really good for the price. Staff is welcoming and owner very friendly. İts location is perfect, you can find all you need around, there's a great street food market close by. Many travelers stay in this hotel so you'll make good friends.

Thoroughly enjoyed my stay here. Shah and his staff are very welcoming, helpful and friendly. Got an extremely clean and comfortable room to myself for the price of the dorm. Breakfast was great and the upstairs area very useful. The location is fantastic and handy to everything you need. Shah is extremely knowledgeable and amazing at giving advice and information about where to go and how to get there.

Perfect location for sightseeing, visiting the street food roads, the grand mosque, the bazaar, close to one of the public transport stops for connecting to the main bus station, the airport and one of the large shopping malls. The rooms are clean and the communal area, where breakfast is served, has a beautiful mountain view. And then there is Shas, your perfect host! Very good English spoken, experienced traveller and backpacker, Shas will know and understand your needs, questions and desires even before you can express them. Absolutely recommended! Shas thank you so much for being so caring and for your help - see you soon!

Great breakfast, friendly and helpful front desk. Awesome location in the middle of the bazaar. But if driving try to get there before midday otherwise the roads become almost impassable with the markets. Good price. Squat toilet.

We had a really nice time at the Dolphin Hostel. Shah is a great owner who traveled a lot around the world and in the hostel you can find artefacts and memories everywhere. The hostel is located in the heart of the city Center, close to the buzz but quite. We loved it here in the only hostel in whole Kurdistan!

This hotel/hostel is run very well. From the minute I arrived to the minute I left, I was treated as if I was their most important guest. The common areas are stylish and fun and the room was clean and well equipped. They helped bring my luggage in from the car, which was an added bonus. If you have car, they have a camera-monitored secured lot. Shah was an amazing ambassador not only for the hotel, but also for all of Iraq. He constantly made sure I was satisfied, and provided tips about the city. Great stay with wonderful staff!

The staff is friendly and the manager is a well travelled man who is always happy to help with information.

We stayed 3 nights in October 2022 in a triple room. The room and whole property was spotlessly clean. The breakfast was hearty, healthy and delicious. The owner/manager, Shah, and all his staff were very friendly, spoke various levels of english and were very helpful. The location of this property is superb with interesting sights and a wide choice of street food or restaurants just steps away.

Love this spot, conveniently located by the bazaar, always clean and quiet atmosphere. Would highly recommend for anyone coming to Sulimaniah.

Great stay at the place. All the staff members were very polite from the reception manager to the cleaning staff. Very helpful as well whenever I needed any thing within 5 minutes I would get the help. I rate it 5/5 as you will find very few hotels in this budget range where you get so much of facilities. This was my second time staying at this hotel. I would highly recommend it. The service from the staff was excellent and the facilities and open buffet breakfast were also delicious . I would stay here again!

I stayed at Dolphin Hotel twice. Once at the end of June and then again at the beginning of July. I was first in a room with a bunk bed, but they only charged me for the single occupancy until a single room became available. (Unfortunately, if you occupy the 2-person room during a busy holiday you will be charged the full price for 2 people). I originally booked for 2 nights, but then kept extending my stay, because the beds were so comfortable and the sheets were very clean. It's a little noisy near reception, if they are talking loudly on the phone or to guests when they come late, but with a good pair of earplugs it was fine. The staff were really friendly and very helpful. The owner even helped me to book my flight to Baghdad. The breakfast of soup, scrambled omelette, bread, spread cheese and salad was very good and there is an endless supply of water and tea all day. Really liked the area upstairs where you have breakfast. There are comfortable sofas for watching TV and tables for eating, writing, using your laptop etc The location near the market was ideal and is a short walk to the Heritage Museum.

My experience in Dolphin Hotel with my fiance was absolutely beautiful. A friend recommended us this hotel and we are very glad we stayed here. This accommodation is very very clean and this is a very important thing! The staff is lovely and we had the opportunity to talk and meet with the manager of the hotel. He invited us for the lunch too, so kind from him ! We highly recommend this hotel too because of its perfect location in the city centre and close to many good places for food. Thanks again Dolphin Hotel for our stay and we hope to stay again here !

This hotel is a great option for foreigners traveling to Slemani! The people who run the front desk are very friendly, helpful, and hospitable and also speak english/arabic/Kurdish and probably some other languages as well. The location is ideal to experience the heart of the city and all that it offers. Very clean and safe place to stay for your visit. Highly recommend staying here!

My son stayed there, they were very flexible with his need to extend his stay. They were extremely communicative with me as they sent a car to get him from the airport in Erbil, which was a 3 hour drive away. They have been amazing to deal with, it was exactly what the advertisement stated, extremely affordable, I booked through Airbnb. My son said the breakfast was good and the staff have been very friendly.

The Dolphin hotel is easily one of my favorite places I’ve stayed in all my travels! The manager Shah and the staff is extremely kind and helpful. The went above and beyond to make sure I felt at home, not only in the hotel, but in Sulaymaniyah! Extremely kind and welcoming individuals. The hotel is extremely clean and well organized, the breakfast is great. And oh my, their Chai is killer! It’s in a great location full of rich culture and life. Easy to find your way around and locate anything you might want to find on your stay. 10/10 would stay there again and recommend to everyone traveling to Sulley! Thanks Dolphin!!

This hostel is just PERFECT. Rooms are clean, beautiful. The price is very reasonable and you will have an incredible breakfast with all you need. You have a very good wifi and a kitchen you can use. Also, the staff is very kind and the owner of the hostel is a traveler who helped us a lot during our stay. He is a very nice and generous person. I recommand to all the backpakers to come in this hostel.

Great value for the money. The room is clean, location is great (close to the bazaar with loads of street food around), fast wifi and even breakfast is included in the price. Shah the owner always made sure that his guests have a good stay, he took me around even though he didn’t have to. Highly recommended.

Amazing staff with helpful attitude! This hotel / hostel has everything that a traveler needs. For me, cleanliness is the most important factor and I can rate this place as 10/10 for that. As for security, I always felt safe during my stay…

This hotel / hostel has a very homely feel even though it is in the middle of the bustling city. Price was on point and so was the breakfast and unlimited cartons of water. Shah (the owner) was very helpful in telling us information on the local area and with booking taxis and booking a bus out of Kurdistan to Turkey. 5*

A good place to stay in Suli. It's clean and well located, with friendly and useful staff, and a well traveled owner. The rooms are okay and clean, although pretty basic, the bathroom have only squat toilet. If the other guests are noisy is a problem as the rooms aren't really isolated, we suffered from other Iraqi guests speaking extremely loud until very late in the night. The breakfast isn't great, a small crowded room with little and low quality products. But all in all that was an okay hotel choice.

Our stay here was amazing!! Shah is so incredibly knowledgeable about kurdistan and travel as a whole and helped us with transportation and travel advice! The rooms were clean and comfortable and the breakfast was amazing! The hotel is in a great location between several markets and walking distance to the main museums! If you are staying in sulaymaniyah you need to stay here!

Dolphin hotel is definitely the best place to stay in Sulaymaniyah, you will directly feel like you are at home. The room is clean which is a really important thing and all the staff will take care of you in order to have a good stay. It’s also a good place to meet local and international travelers from all over the world. I would highly recommend this place, don’t hesitate one second !

I loved staying at Dolphin. The place is extremely clean, which is not given for granted here in general! The management is very kind and the location is perfect besides the bazar. Price is reasonable if you travel on a budget and need some good rest you can go there without any doubt. I stayed both in shared room and private. They were both okay. Breakfast is simple but good. Wifi is working quite well. Only one thing to adjust: at least add one towel per guest in the rooms.

Me and my friend stayed at Dolphin hostel for a few nights during our stay in Sulaymaniyah and it was absolutely the best choice we made on our trip to Kurdistan! The biggest highlight was the owner, mr. Shah who is super friendly and welcoming and does everything in his power to provide as much comfort to the customers. He's also really knowledgeable and gave us good tips in the city. The hostel itself has an amazing location right at the city center. The bazaar of the city is close and there are also many restaurants just behind the corner. Rooms were simple and nice, we had a good sleep after exploring the city for the whole day. There is also a big common room/kitchen upstairs where there are free water bottles provided for customers. Really nice detail! Thank you for making our stay in Sulaymaniyah so much better mr. Shah!
