Sha'b Tea-shop in Sulaymaniyah . When Sulaymaniyah's name is mentioned as a city of intellectual and educated people, it's possible not to mention the name of Sha'b tea-shop. Because this place has been determined as a center for gathering authors, cultivated and enlightened people. The grand opening of Sha'b tea-shop was about 70 years ago in the city center of Sulaymaniyah, by Haji Shareef Chaichy. It's considered as second home to people to find tranquility and comfort to discuss and exchange their ideas and beliefs. There are also many people who are interested in playing dominos and Dice games while drinking tea.

Very very saturated in culture. Absolutely amazing hospitality by the people there not only the staff. You can talk to whoever you want and spark conversations the old way, over a cup of tea. It is male dominated but women are welcome as well. In addition, be ready to face the age gap, most of the men here are in their 50s, 60s, and 70s, but if you were to go as a younger adult they would surely welcome you and share some of their wisdom.

Superb place and cultural.the only lroblem is that, it is always packed with people. There is always noise. But i definitely recommend you guys to visit at least once. The place is not small and there are plenty of space. You can also find drawings of kurdish artists and actors.

Lovely and traditional place for Kurdish activities and politicals It gives you the idea of Kurdish culture and history events around Kurdistan region and kurdish people who suffer Coffee , tea , desert , fast-food and cold drinks serving here For breakfast they have Kurdish dishes which was tasty but i suggest it with hot tea And it rocks with old music and old games around
