First thing first: They charge for the lockers, not even once, EVERY TIME you open locker door you will need to pay money, not deposit but money. So basically this hostel doesn't offer lockers. Location is good, 5 minutes to the station. Facility needs a bit more cleaning and maintenance. Staff is helpful. Beds are not made when you arrive, you will need to use pillowcase and sheet left on the bed to make it.

The smell of my bedroom (#203) was overwhelmingly musty, which made things feel unclean and made it hard to enjoy sleeping here. Other than that, I appreciated the relatively wide beds, the comfortable cafe/lounge area, the good price, and the closeness to Ouji Station (very short walk).

Staff are nice but the room is bad! The room is smelly, the toilet pipe has smell come out and hygiene is bad! The vibe of the cafe is quite well.

Stayed in a double. Room was old but I liked that it was big enough to have a sofa, which is unusual in this price bracket. The bath was an old tiled one, which I personally loved but some may hate. The rest of the hostel was basically old and run down. Oji is a comparatively poor neighbourhood but has good transport links. There is also a nice park and canal nearby to walk in (unusual in Tokyo!)

We stayed there for a few nights and it was everything we needed. It’s really close to the train station making it easy to reach anywhere in Tokyo. The showers were downstairs and the floors separation were a bit weird, but it was clean, cozy and friendly. Would recommend !

We thought check in went really smooth and the room was available right away. The day we checked out was a bit rushed unfortunately. We also thought the bathrooms could have been cleaner. We did sleep really well and found it to be nice and quiet. The location wasn’t that amazing. If you want to be out of the city then it works but there weren’t too many places to eat, except the pizza. (Which hubby said was good.) The music area is really cool too.

Not bad. Near Oji Station within 5 minutes walking. The room is ok, a little bit humid because can’t open the window. The receptionist only open from 2-10pm so if there’s issue. No one will help you. At I had a random guy wearing underwear try to come in my room in the middle of the night and when I went down to get help. Nobody is downstairs. So you on your own.

This was my first time in Tokyo and I love it. The Guest house is very close to the station. The staff is very friendly and will help you if you have any question. The room was clean , a bit small for 2 pax. We made a reservation for breakfast but did not get it. Error of booking and not of the guest House.

I traveled with my relative. We stayed in a only woman room with two others. Location:The guest house is situated on a nice hill near a beautiful historical river and next to a park. The station Oji could be accessed from the bottom of the small hill or through the park in less than 10 minutes. Public rooms: We all had access to a small waitin area in the front, a small kitchen including a microwave, a stove and a fridge and the music café. There are 4 public showers that are well mentained and seperated by walls. They each include a small room for changing and are lockable. Each flow has toilets and sinks. In our flor, only women were allowed in the facilities. There are also lockers for valiubles that cost 100 Yen per use, which we found verry handy. There are also washing machines and a dryer, which we used. The washing machine cost 200 Yen, the dryer cost 100 Yen. Services: Breakfast was provided for a small price (500 Yen at the time of my visit). It included two pieces of toast which could be toasted at will, a drink, vegetables and scrambled eggs. We would also access limitless iced water, marmelades, salted margarine and ketchup. Private rooms: Our room felt clean. The beds had curtains and the blankets were soft. We were not allowed to be noisy after 12 p.m. There was a space for luggage and we were provided some houseshoes. The AC worked very well. We had no problems with our roommates. Staff: The staff was friendly and spoke enlish prificient enought to answer all our questiones.

Very welcoming and in a wonderful area if you don't want to be in the heart of the city but close enough to the JR lines and Metro. The rooms are clean and quiet. Even with live music on the main floor, it's not too loud even on the second floor. The Staff are helpful and understand the area.

bed is comfortable and large. the design of the place is also very nice and chic for me. it is also conveniently located nearby JR and Tokyo metro station, so access to central tokyo is very easy. nearby, there are several beautiful public parks, which is worthwhile to see.

Stayed here for 6 nights. The hostel was clean and has a good location. The facilities were alright. My room was very noisy preventing me from sleeping.

It is well worth it's price. In the dorm ever person gets their own personal cubby with a bed, privacy curtain, and all the materials to make the bed. Very roomy and comfortable bed and much more private than other dorm style hostels. I highly recommend!

The guy at the café let us use charge for me and my friend even though we were not staying and just making use of the café. He is super nice and I really appreciate it.

The booked in advance room was already in use upon the arrival! The staff offered no other option as everything similar was in use. No any other option was offered before we asked. Had to pay double price for another room! Frustrating! Other key takeaways: - The room lacked any sorts of kitchenware. - Location is a bit remote, near the Ōji JR station. - Windows blured, zero visibility, only lighting, but fine. - It was quiet, but the sound isolation is definitely poor. - Light bulbs in front of the mirror in the coridor were missing. + Though, the room was more or less... clean, the bed was quite comfortable, shower good as well. + Aircon fine, Wi-Fi great. + You can use a washing machine worth of 200¥ a use. ± There's a microwave on the first floor at guests' disposal. I would rather stay at some other place next time. But I suppose that I just was unlucky. Probably.

Great location, and town...right on main train route. Also a small, older rail car which I was told is a fantastically scenic and very inexpensive (as it's actually still a running train, not a tourist item)! Very good food with a dedicated chef! Three or four course meal for a little over fast food price. Incredibly great relaxation areas at this hostel at still almost lowest rates: couch chair sitting area (wifi signal could be stronger here); and dining room tables and chairs sitting area with music stage!). Great places to sit and utilize the free wifi (arigato gozaimashita!! Much appreciated as a traveller) to do all aversion needs to do online while trsvelling! Much better than some other hostels I have stayed at where there are no comfortable places to hang out, rest, catchup, etc. Arigato gozaimashita! Wonderful. Hope to see you again in the very near future! Ps...very nice people too!! Thank you!!

Easy to access guest house with a very friendly staff. Only 5 minutes away from Oji station. Please note that the route from station to guest house is uphill. There is a small yet beautiful garden nearby, which has lots of sakura during hanami. Room quality is good; however, the size is a bit weird. We book a room for 3 people, yet the room can not accommodate three futons comfortably side by side. Overall, a great experience.

This guest house is better than I expected. The rate is quite affordable. It has a cozy lounge, many toilets, good shower facility and free WiFi. It also has laundry and beverages (of course for additional charge). The guest house manager is also fluent in english making it easier to interact and ask anything. I wouldn't think twice for staying here again in my next trip to Tokyo.

This guest house is probably the best guesthouse Ive stayed in all my travels. The owner and staff are incredibly nice and helpful, the guesthouse is very clean, the private room is very spacious with a very comfortable bed. The complimentary breakfast is delicious and different everyday. I will come back and stay at Ouji when i am back in Tokyo, thank you!

Breakfast was good, room was okay, customer service was extremely amazing. Receptionists are well mannered and know how to deal with customer. They try to manage customers' need a lot and their customer service is very helpful and deeply touched. I highly recommend you to visit and stay there if you are planning to go to Tokyo. We left good memory there.

I was very satisfied with my experience here. I stayed in a private room, which was clean and cozy. There’s a built in restaurant/bar, which was decent. They were very understanding about late check in when I had a sudden change of plans. An easy walk from Oji station, which isn’t a super central location, but isn’t too far from major destinations either. There’s also a really scenic river walk/ park type area with an old style bridge within 2 minutes walk.
