I have to say I was pretty disappointed with this place. It was BEYOND PACKED inside. They clearly didn’t have enough staff to serve that many tables, there were extremely too many tables. I understand they probably want to bring in as much business as possible but they RUIN the actual experience/service/food quality by doing that. They sat 3 of us at a tiny bar stool, we could barely fit our drinks & app plates on there let alone the actual food dishes. We had to ask the waitress to move us, she was so sweet and helped us out because we waited OVER an hour for appetizers. The food was okay & the drinks were horrible but the waitress is what made the experience tolerable because of her positive attitude. I’d suggest they take a look at their seating plan and actually sit the amount of customers they can successfully serve good quality food & drinks too. Stop packing the place.

The food is amazing!! Asian zing wings were delicious. Pulled pork nachos were mouth-watering. The Frohito flight is SUPER sweet. Way too sweet for my taste buds. The only issue was that we had to repeatedly remind our waiter of our soft drinks. Hard drinks came out fast lol.

we ordered 3 different burgers, all came "medium well" whichs gross! burgers aren't steak cuts and should be cooked all the way through. the place is usually packed ( not sure why ) and feels that servers cannot keep up. won't be returning.

Asbury Ale House is a modern and clean sports bar and restaurant near the shore. They have a great selection of beers on tap with a bunch of local flavors rotated in and out. They have great bar food with interesting and tasty twists on classic dishes. They have vegetarian options. My personal favorite was the Mac and cheese bites, I could have had more of those for my meal. However, since this restaurant is by the shore, be ready for a bigger price tag. The only other minor flaw was that the restaurant was pretty dark for a little while (dinner time) as they did not put on the house lights when the sun was down, but that should not deter you from going. Asbury Ale House can be a (smaller) family friendly restaurant to a nice sports bar!

The food was horrible! I got the $24.00 chips & chips. Fish was dry and over cooked! French fries way over salted. Should we talking about the appetizer, Calamari was greasy over cook and hard. What a waste of money never again. Table of 3 and we were all disappointed!!!!!! That’s probably why it’s 1:30 and there’s 2 other tables.

Had an amazing girls day here. We got a Greenhouse that was nice and warm and decorated for the holidays. Rose was our server and we couldn't have asked for anyone better. She was tentative, polite and helped us vote on our gingerbread houses we made. Food and drinks were great! We'll be back! 😊

Delightful visit. Made a reservation and had a wonderful table in the nook outside. The watermelon popsicle margarita was not only mesmerizing, but kind of brings out the kid in you. The margarita avoids being syrupy sweet with a refreshing paleta on top. Totally worth the splurge. We were impressed with the boneless Buffalo wings and the Bavarian pretzels. Entrees were satisfying. Waitresses seemed a bit frazzled and seemed understaffed but it did not generally affect the service. Definitely plan to come back especially for the marg.

I am not one to leave reviews but after this experience… how could I not? Olivia K is now what comes to mind when I think of top class service. I could go on and on about the excellent food, the fun and energetic atmosphere, and the kind and welcoming staff, but without mentioning Olivia I would be doing the world a disservice. She made me feel at home, as if I were quite literally in. her. house. I felt like I could open up to her and tell her my deepest darkest thoughts.. that is how comfortable I felt. Maslow’s hierarchy of needs was completely met, and I was experiencing self actualization. Yes, I will be back.

Stopped by last night for the first time for their Polar Espresso Flight with a friend for girls night and we thoroughly enjoyed them!! The sips were relatively small, but tasty nonetheless. I have to say the Toasted Almond one was my favorite. The atmosphere was lively, crowd young and inviting, and everyone seemed to be really enjoying themselves. It was also apparently Taylor Swift Trivia Night?! I didn't know they held events and after leaving I checked their social media's only to find out they do that pretty regularly! I'll definitely be making a trip back with my friends for another event night or even just some drinks in general. Also can't say enough about Robbie Panasuk, the host for these events! He kept the crowd excited and engaged throughout the whole night and didn't miss a beat. Definitely lucky to have a character like him on board!

Great spot for delicious food & a wide variety of drinks! Adore the coco coladas and the drunken chicken sandwich. Service is always great! Indoor and outdoor seating options are great but the high top indoor chairs are sincerely the most uncomfortable chairs I have ever sat in so we always opt for outdoor when possible!

This place was a wonderful experience: friendly staff with good service, amazing food with big portion sizes, and indoor and outdoor seating. Bonus points for great interior design and music :)

A cute place for late night snack and fun! There is a karaoke inside if you want to go wild, or you can sit outside and chill with a great selection of beer. Server was nice but slow service. Food can be hit or miss, ahi tuna nacho was exceptional, mac and cheese bite with spicy aioli mayo wasn’t that good.

Excellent Fish and Chips. Also Fish Tacos. But the Curly Fries were not crispy. Also, no Amber Ales!

I recently visited a restaurant in [location], and I must say that my experience left me feeling somewhat ambivalent. While there were certain aspects of the establishment that stood out, there were also a few significant drawbacks that prevented me from fully enjoying my dining experience. Let's start with the positive aspects. The atmosphere of the restaurant was quite pleasant. The ambiance was cozy, and the decor created a warm and inviting space. It was evident that some thought had been put into creating a comfortable dining environment, which contributed to a pleasant overall experience. Furthermore, I must commend the waitstaff for their excellent service. The waiters were attentive, friendly, and accommodating throughout my visit. They were quick to take orders, and they displayed good knowledge of the menu, providing recommendations when asked. Their professionalism added a touch of hospitality to the dining experience. Unfortunately, the positives end there. The food, while not terrible, was rather average. It lacked the flavor and finesse that one would expect from a restaurant of this caliber. The dishes I ordered failed to impress, and they lacked the wow factor that would make me want to return for more. The lackluster quality of the food left me feeling underwhelmed and disappointed. Moreover, the management of this establishment left much to be desired. I encountered an issue when I wanted to make a simple substitution in my order. I requested to replace chicken with shrimp, but I was informed that this modification would come at an extra cost of $10, plus tax. While I understand that substitutions may sometimes incur additional charges, the price seemed excessive for such a simple change. This policy left a sour taste in my mouth and gave the impression that the management prioritized profit over customer satisfaction. In conclusion, while the ambiance and the attentiveness of the waitstaff were commendable, the average quality of the food and the management's questionable pricing policy prevent me from giving this restaurant a higher rating. If you are seeking a pleasant atmosphere and decent service, this place might be worth a visit. However, if you are primarily looking for exceptional cuisine and a customer-focused experience, I would recommend exploring other dining options in the area

We came in the other night and had Mike as our server, and he was such an attentive and excellent server that I wanted to make sure I shouted him out! He gave great recommendations of things to do as newcomers to the area, was super friendly and enthusiastic throughout our dinner, and answered all of our questions easily. We hadn't been here before, and we will definitely be back thanks to Mike!

Pretzel apps Were frozen in center. 2nd try they were luke warm at best. Manager said he was going to remove from our bill....we had to uncomfortably remind them before leaving. All food was warm...and served in black scratched metal tin plates and fries were in dirty basket. Oh how a piece of parchment or wax paper would have made the difference. On a positive..the staff was really nice...except the food runners, they were angry.

Really enjoyed this pub-style for dinner on a Sunday night. The food was pretty good, but where these guys excel is in the service. There were ample servers, and everyone, from the security person out front, to the chefs, to the sushi guy, all were kind and helpful. Everyone was focused on the customer experience. After covid, these guys use a QR code system to order, but there are actually two different versions of the menu - one from the QR code in front (more like PDF) and another for the table side order system (which is more like Seamless). We got nachos, sushi, a black bean burger, grilled cheese and a Caesar salad. It was definitely too much food and cost around $100 including tip for two people. Keep in mind they've got huge portions when you order. The food came extremely quickly and overall it was a nice experience. Also, their beer selection is excellent. Lots of IPAs but wish there were more sours and more types of Belgian beer. For the grilled cheese we wished it was on thinner bread, and for the nachos, we wished the avocado was combined with salt and lime, but these are just nitpicking items. Overall it was great.

ALE HOUSE ON COOKMAN AVENUE ASBURY PARK, NJ JULY 13, 2021 👏👏👏👏💕💕😍😍🤟🤟 CONGRATULATIONS YOU MASTERED IT ! This place deserves 10 stars ! The Food was EXCELLENT all around, portion size was definitely large. Extremely clean, yes even the restrooms. Our server made us feel like family 💗 This is a rustic setting, with choices of types of tables. You can dine outdoors or indoors. You would feel comfortable if you brought your family or date. No matter who you bring, just go. You won't regret it ! It is wheelchair friendly

WHAT A DISAPPOINTMENT. I used to really like it here but boy did it go down hill. The drinks are NOT cheap and are not good/ all soda and juice. Just came in on a Saturday night and they’re out of burgers, pretzels.. I got the short rib sliders- the meat was dry and crunchy and the bread was so stale it was flaking. I’m so disgusted at our entire time here

Awful. Overpriced food/drinks. The food is disgusting. The whole “AAH” gimmick is lame. The place has no character or identity. Why is there random foliage in half the bar? Please fire whoever is in charge and just start from scratch. You’re wasting a beautiful building with this dumpster fire of a bar.

Food wasn’t bad. Way way way overpriced for what it is…. French onion soup in a coffee mug Flautas app Black bean burger Iced tea = $59, including tip. If I’m cheap for that one then so be it but certainly feels like this place is a huge ripoff.

Great vibes and drinks, but the staff are what keeps us coming back. The staff are so fun but still attentive- especially the bartender Evan. I went with a group of girls and he noticed some guy being creepy to us at the bar and subtly intervened to help out. If you go out with a group of just girls, then you know how important it is to have staff like that where you are cause you can’t have fun if you don’t feel safe. We always have fun here and love coming !! Can’t wait to go back next week

Food was delicious and drinks were great! All the servers and bartenders were fantastic, especially Joanie she was a great bartender, extremely attentive and kept checking on us and made the best drinks. She was kind and courteous to everyone at the bar. She made our night that much more fun. Definitely plan on coming back for this great experience! Thank you again.

My best friend and I don’t get to get together that often so tonight, on one of our rare nights out, we decided to come to the Asbury Ale House. Best decision ever. We were slow to get greeted but, after telling the manager, we ended up with one of the greatest servers I’ve ever had. Brett was attentive without being annoying, he was pleasant, knew the menu and was very friendly. The food and drinks were delicious and we had an amazing dining experience with Brett. We will be coming back to the Ale House again.

I always love coming here - it’s a Jersey Shore staple for any occasion. I recently visited with a few friends, and I just wanted to say that Mike is one of the best servers the Ale House has. I’ve been coming here for quite a few years, and I think Mike has contributed to the significant improvement of this establishment. His attentiveness, kind and fun personality, and overall attitude did not go unnoticed with our table. I always tell my friends to go to the Ale House, but from now on I’m telling them to ask for Mike’s table!

We just stopped in for a quick bite after a little shopping, and the menu offers something for everyone, so that was good. I don't usually leave reviews for any establishments, but our server, Mike, really was quite attentive in checking on us throughout our meal and making sure our food was to our liking. Atmosphere, food, and service is what makes a restaurant successful. If all the servers here are like Mike, we'll certainly be back!

Came here on a beautiful Saturday for our friends bridal brunch & things were great. Def a vibe - my friend and I ordered the flights, she ordered a bloody flight & I had ordered a mimosa flight. It was okay, the bloodys come with grilled cheese / burger etc but it was cold which I can understand why. The mimosa flight was okay but were warm so that kinda stunk. The menu was entirely virtual so you only order & check out thru ur phone which is cool - but they charge about a t 15% service charge then your expected to pay tip on top of that. Def not a bad place - would most certainly check it out again, IMO they were expensive & not entirely worth it but would give it another shot - def a vibe.

Great place for drinks, apps, and dinner. It's huge so even when it's packed (which is often), you never have to wait for the table. Mac and cheese bites are fantastic and we order the drunken chicken sandwich every time. SUPER cute seasonal drinks like a witches cauldron cocktail to share with 3-4 people in the fall, a watering can lemonade vodka in the spring, etc. Great for instagram but also its a huge portion that we each get 2-3 drinks from so it ends up being a pretty good deal! Servers are always personable and attentive!

  • 1/5 Amanda K. 1 year ago on Google
I have a problem with their food every single time I order from here. I ordered fish n chips which didn’t come with tartar sauce like the menu states it would.. I ordered Buffalo cauliflower which came as plain cauliflower with celery and tomatoes that I had to put hot sauce on myself, and I had to reheat every food item. I truly think this was my last straw with this place. A waste of $65

  • 3/5 Cesar M S. 1 year ago on Google
Not the best place. Not the worst place. Decent. Their drinks were very watered down. Lots of sugar. If there are no other places come here. But if you can skip this one, go to the other places that are amazing close by.

Very cool brunch environment with quality pub food. Pork roll fries were unique and delicious. Wings were also very good. Tons of good stuff on the menu including breakfast shots (Jameson and butter beer with bacon) and a bloody marry flight with 4 paired sliders on each straw that shouldn't be missed. Great place to have great food and a DJ to amp up your Sunday morning.

Asbury Ale House is in a prime spot on Cookman Ave with lots of outdoor seating that is brightly lit at night and looks very welcoming. Dining was a disappointing experience though. This is definitely a bar crowd, hang out kind of place. Staff wasn't very attentive. The spot we were first seated in was under the air conditioning pipes which dripped water onto our table and plates. Gross. So we moved ourselves to a new spot. The drinks were weak. The food was mediocre. I won't go back.

  • 3/5 Lennon C. 1 year ago on Google
Excellent location with solid food and cocktails, but I can’t say it’s entirely worth it. This place is outrageously expensive and their service isn’t the best. While I would probably visit again, I don’t think the experience justifies the price.

  • 5/5 Kathleen D. 2 years ago on Google
I want to shout out to the Asbury Ale House and tell you how fantastic our dining experience was with you. The food was great but more importantly we don't think we have ever had a better server than Charles. He was the BEST server we have ever encountered anywhere. I want you to know how incredibly fabulous he is!! What an asset to your establishment. Thank you for making our dining experience one of the most memorable ones we won't ever forget.

I think that the amount of food per dollar here is completely reasonable. The burger is HUGE. I couldn’t really taste it though. The chips were so over seasoned that after tasting them the burger felt bland. My boyfriend got the Ale House burger and I think it was really good. I would pass up on the Mike burger unless you plan to substitute chips for fries. You also have to have a charged phone with data to order here, since they use some website system for ordering now. I really hope our service fee is going entirely to the waiters... Make sure to scan the QR code at the entrance to the restaurant. The QR code’s at the table have a different link, which doesn’t explain the menu items. Or be like me and have T mobile and be unable to use the QR code’s and rely on other people’s phones to see the menu. Overall: good amount of food for money, food isn’t bad, menu system is really confusing

Nice sports bar downtown. Was very busy when we went on Sunday night of Labor day weekend. Our server was wonderful. If all the servers are as good as she was, service alone would be reason to go! But the food selection is great too - American bar food at reasonable prices and a large sushi selection. There was enough in the menu that looked really good that we will make the trip back from Philly to go again!

Great place for food. I had the tuna blt and it was amazing and very generous on the tuna. The frozen drinks looked amazing all around us but they were actually terrible. It tasted like liquid sugar and not much else. I would come back for food but never for cocktails again.

This was our first time here as we experienced the battle of the brews event. We sampled many beers while eating some of the best food you can pair with it. I order wings almost everywhere I go and theirs left me very impressed. Also definitely get those cheesteak egg rolls and the spicy corn on the cob. Soooo good. The manager made sure to make us feel welcome and ensure a positive experience. Excellent service, incredible food and a very nice atmosphere will keep us coming back!
