I used to love the mall but now half of the stores are vacant and they close at 7. Closing that early is crazy, I walked in tonight expecting them to be open until at least 8 and didn’t get to go in the stores I needed to because they were closing. Instead I just ordered online. Lately I typically just order online or go to the outlets when I need something. I wish it had a Cheesecake factory or a bowling alley or movie theater or something. It just isn’t what it used to be Edit in response to the owner. I think those hours are very short no matter where they are. That isn’t the reason I would prefer the outlets. Obviously I didn’t mean literally half. 8 vacancies is quite a lot.

Good selection of stores. H & M is great. Hollister, American Eagle and Pacsun are there and the empty Sears anchor store is being beautifully redeveloped: Wish it had an Apple Store though...

It is a good mall but a lot if empty stores. The pandemic has done that to a lot of malls. I just received a reply about my review. (Orginal post) I am actually lowering the review because of comments Asheville Mall made had me rethink the original rating. This mall has lost 1 major food chain in the last week. Their food court has at least 2 places empty at a time. They have also not managed to fill a large department store that left years ago. Most of the Asheville Mall stores close between 7-8pm. I personally do not care if the mall is at 90% capacity if some of the stores are closed due to lack of staff and customers. From someone who used to work at this mall, it is unbelievable how it has changed. Honestly, the Asheville Mall doesn't have anything special. You can go to The Outlets or The Haywood Mall (about a hour away) and get different and unique stores. I truly regret making my original post because now someone at the Asheville Mall decided to make a passive aggressive comment, and I do not tolerate passive aggression. You want honesty, I will give you honesty!

For the most part we had fun! Everyone was super nice! Except a person in earthbound. My daughter dropped her candy and I asked if they had a trash can and she said they won't throw away any food.. which was rude considering we were just trying to be decent human beings

Went to Ashville mall while on vacation yesterday. It has your usual mall staples like a food court and all the mall type stores. My girl loves Earthbound and bought some stuff in there. We also hit Old Navy for some sale items. No mall visit is complete without cinnamon pretzels from Auntie Anns. All in all this is your standard mall experience. If you like malls it's big and full of shops. Always air conditioned on a hot summer day. Worth a visit for that alone. I reccomend a stop at Ashville Mall.

Cool place to shop and hang out. Food court was busy, so you know the food is good.

The food court is small but delicious. The Jamaican restaurant is very good. A lot of closed shops and kinda a strange vibe.

I went to the mall yesterday. I’ll start by saying I love the mall! I got there at 10 when they first opened and needed to use the restroom. I was extremely disappointed in my experience. Every single stall was filthy, covered in feces or urine, or just trashed in general. There was only one stall barely useable. This caught me off guard because they just opened. Do they not clean the bathrooms before opening or at the end of the day for the next day? I was really appalled. However, my shopping experience was great and the stores were awesome, but please work on the cleanliness of the restrooms.

The Mall is always full on the weekends and the Food court is phenomenal. I love American Malls and the Asheville Mall is just one of the many of great ones in America!

Food court - Island Pan: First time trying Jamaican food. I had Jerk Pork with a side of cabbage. I thought the cabbage was perfect. The pork was bursting with flavor and I really enjoyed it. But most of the pieces were fat and I had to dig out the good part. Other than that, I really liked it.

Very nice mall. I went here a few times, because every now and then my school takes all of us here for fun. Great place!

Very confusing layout for sure. We were only in there for about 20 mins. Didn’t realize there were so many stores due to layout. We were hungry and asked sales person what restaurants were in there and she only said two so we left to go get dinner somewhere else.

The food court had a great selection. Plus kid playzone. Lots of businesses to choose from for general shopping. We will be back.

This mall is gigantic. I had no idea it just kept going and going. Lots of great stores here to check out! Seriously my legs are sore from walking back and forth so many times. Lol

My daughter loves the chicken teriyaki they have in the food court near the newest place Thunder Burger. They have a special for $8.99. You can get that, and 2 sides and extra chicken is only $2. We usually share a plate with both sides, noodles, and extra chicken and eat for a little over $12. It is plenty of food for 2.

Although mostly empty, there are still some great stores. Auntie Anne’s pretzels, the Lego store. Go out spend some time with someone and have a great shopping experience here.

The food was decent. The lady working was not. English is her 2nd language, my daughter had a hard time understanding her. So when there was a problem with the order, she wanted us to pay for the right item instead of fixing our order.I tried to explain to her what happened and she didn't care. I will not be back.

We tried to come last week to let our kids play before shopping. At 10:40 we tried to go in the entrance near Lens crafters. An older lady who claimed to be “security” was very rude and said we absolutely couldn’t come in until 11. She was hateful to 2 other groups also trying to come in. I’ve always been able to come walk the mall prior to the stores opening but she said that was a lie and mall walking hasn’t been allowed since before covid. (I did it last winter so she’s definitely lying) we had several very disappointed kids in our group and the other families. There was zero reason we couldn’t come in. This lady needs a refresh of the “rules”.

Today I bought a necklace and went and sit down and forgot to pick it up, so we went back to where it was and it was gone. The women at zales called security to see if one of the janitors had seen it or someone take it. Thanks to Sam ,DELTA4, DELTA7, and Charlie he had thankfully picked it up. I'm so very grateful to them for working hard to find it. Not many businesses would've worked hard to locate it.

No working sinks in food court mens room. The only reason I went in there before eating. The covered garage area is also hard to see in with so many lights out and dark. Parts of lot blocked off but hard to see. Ceiling tiles and worn down areas. Went in a number of stores understaffed and not much product so no real reason to go back. I hate to see it. Loved this place in the past. A super high kudos to the awesome people cleaning tables in the food court area! There were two people there cleaning nonstop and awesome!

We shopped in Dillard's. Very few staff for the perfume counters. Most noticeable is companies are moving away from the older fragrances and shower gel. They are more interested in selling a lesser quality product to younger people.

Worked with the awesome ladies at Pac Sun, counting their inventory... After a bumpy start, it went by pretty quick, but big shout out 2 those girls 4 keeping cool & making our life a little easier!

There’s always 1 individual maybe 2 that I see that clean the mall and do a fantastic job the restrooms and floors look great had a chance to get to know one ladies name is Teresa I think it’s rather rude to interrupt her while she was talking to a customer just to send her to a bathroom she was in middle of cleaning these are ppl show them respect . Following employees around can get you sued for harassment

Much bigger than I expected, pretty cool mall with a lot of variety of stores! The parking is also very nice, there's a big lot and an entire parking garage

Always enjoyed going to the mall for some shopping. Really enjoyed the new burger place in the food court, AVL Smash. Great food and reasonable price. Will definitely be there again.

Usually very laid back atmosphere, not a whole lot of snobs OR slobs, pretty decent place to shop... Prices very, seems to be very private, (meaning) they're not out the doors trying to sell, but if you walk in they take very good care of you. I like the recliners, they 💆‍♀️ message, it always very kempt and tidy, people usually mind their own business, but still has that southern charm..

Nice mall for this little town. Good location and they've kept it up well and maintained it over the years instead of letting it go to pieces like so many American malls have. I've been going to this mall for 23 years and it is still worth the visit, even all the way from Spruce Pine / Little Switzerland! Don't miss it.

Very big mall with lots of stores and eating places. Now this is how you maintain a mall.... Hull properties.... eye roll. Just needs an Apple store and a FYE.

The GM here Sam has some serious ego issues. He is great at pretending to be a gentleman, but he is the exact antithesis of a gentleman. He wants to be respected by everyone but does not have a clue how to respect others
