Staff very friendly and helpful Beer amazing 😁 Food spot on definitely go again Only downside is that the building is looking a bit tired 😴 and needs some sprucing up inside and out but that said ideal of a quick beer an some lunch Good access to main roads and plenty big car park 9/10

Love the snipe, food amazing and staff welcome and friendly. Was able to have a non alcoholic gin and slimline tonic with my steak too. Was yum definitely returning

Me and my partner both had the mix grill, the chips, egg and peas were delicious. However the steak was well over done, we asked for medium rare. The sausages were old and you couldn't cut through them. No onion rings at all, pineapple, gammon were black. But the worst was the chicken, it looked like it was covered in a jelly slime. I ate what I could, showed a member of staff who gave us free drinks as an apology and was very lovely. Unfortunately I wouldn't go back for food. The staff are very busy bless them, they are lovely. However just walking past the toilets to leave, the smell of strong urine is overbearingly bad. I think it's a lovely building with lovely staff, I think the chef needs sacking in all honesty. I wouldn't send out food like that, it's shameful.

Really can't beat this place for a good meal lots of hearty choices at low cost .. Staff have always been friendly and the whole place in general is welcoming

Every time I've been the service has been warm and welcoming. Food most of the time is very good given the price with the occasional average dish. But hey....you've got to factor in the price. I'm not expecting Michelin star meals here but something tasty and good value for money. By that measure, The Snipe pretty much always hits the spot.

Nice little pub, cheap food and reasonable drinks prices. £4.50. Pint and Mondays 2 Pub Classic Meals for £10.99. Large carpark and good access. Staff very nice.

Had 3 meals and we all enjoyed the food. I had a mini mixed grill and there was more than enough. Ordered my elderly mother a pudding then she decided she wanted to leave, the staff were very helpful and changed the pudding to takeaway. Would recommend.

We travelled from Doncaster to meet friends local to this area. Everything was bang on. Great service, great prices, and great food. Staff are friendly and helpful and look after you throughout your visit. Great outside play area for kids. Food was the best we have eaten in a hungry horse, we had the mixed grill and it was delicious and well worth the money. Candymania desert is a must and will defo feed a family of 4. it's a beast! The menu offers something for everyone no matter what your dietary requirements might be, a really great selection of meals are available. Nice atmosphere. The whole place is nice and clean and is well looked after. If you're looking for good value pub grub, then you can not go wrong here. We will defo be returning.

It must be at least over 17 years since I last visited this place. It was badly run down and was a bit too rowdy for us. Then we moved away anyway so never went back. Since moving back close enough to visit, thought we would try again as it had been such a long time, this time with our children (older teen and a wanna be teen). They have changed and updated the layout so that the doors are pulled across separating the dining area from the main pub which was great as we could eat and chat without having to compete with music and enthusiastic groups drinking in the main bar. We were looked after by Tracy who was amazing and couldn't do enough for us. She brought our food out with perfect timing as we had chance to chat and enjoy a drink before eating. The menu was marvellous, so much choice. We have visited other pubs at around the same time (8pm) and a number of the dishes had been taken off the menu leaving not much choice. Here, there was ample to decide from. The quantity and quality of the food was wonderful. So many places are increasing their prices but lacking in the quality and reducing the quantity. At the Snipe you pay a reasonable amount and get excellent portions that would be plentiful for most. Will certainly be visiting again. Able to use the green king app to order and pay here if you want to. Reasonably quiet at around 6pm on a Saturday. Staff are friendly and approachable. Multiple levels to the dining areas, quiet areas, out the way areas, near the bar areas. Food was nice and everything arrived very quick via the app

Very dissatisfied, went out for what I thought would be a lovely meal out for the Father’s Day as visited this pub before and the food was lovely. However this time food was simply terrible. Mixed grill looked and tasted like it was cooked under the light or was warmed up after days of sitting in the kitchen. Very disappointed overall, for the reference picture of what was meant to be dirty fries with bacon 🤢

Overall pretty good. Good food, reasonable value but let down on our last visit by our drinks order (at table using the app) took 20 minutes to arrive, we had to go to the bar to collect it in the end and 2 out of 4 drinks were wrong (but acceptable). This was a shame as the rest of the service was very good, so benefit of doubt given.

We feel for the staff what they have to put up with. Disabled toilet floor soaking wet and the smell. The seat moves so have to hold my 88 yr old mother in law whilst having to use toilet. Seats in ladies also move and don't fit ....I know staff have had maintenance in ... made me giggle today had the decorations in not long ago... think u may need new ones toilet doors only half painted. Not a big issue but shows only half a job bob works for this company. Coffee machine has been on and off working for months, today no hot water. Kitchen staff can't seem to keep Griddal clean , had breakfast last week ... had to mop up black grease from my plate bacon was awful. Did speak to staff whom said we told them to clean it. Today bacon on my chicken new yorker was same. Child's fish ... again plate was dripping in oil. I know chefs have changed and we have noticed .

Friendly and helpful staff. Great prices for food with plenty of deals to choose from depending on the day you go. Food comes promptly after ordered. (The menu online is different than the one inside)

Nice pub, clean tidy and quick service. Server Tracy was lovely. Green king do need to look at the reservation process though as alot of tables were reserved 3 hours before they were required. This is happening all over the green king pubs?? The Snipe is a lovely pub and i can easily recommend.

The food is standard Hungry Horse food. It's nothing special, but I'm not knocking it, for what it is it's fine. The staff are very friendly, it's cool inside with clean tables plenty of space around the tables and an interesting aesthetic to the interior.

Extremely disappointing ordered some food at the bar the young lady obviously wished she was somewhere else. The food came and the salad certainly didn't look fresh. We won't be going back

It’s a hungry horse pub-restaurant, if you’re expecting fresh cooked food and exotic menus then you’ll be disappointed, however, you want some quality burgers and some absolute bargain pub food then the place is fantastic. The decor is modern and the place is ALWAYS clean, the staff no matter how busy they are will always smile and be friendly, some will even spend the time to have conversations and make you feel very welcome. I’ve been visiting relatively often for the past 10 or so years and I certainly won’t be stopping anytime soon. Keep up the good work people, see you soon.

Fantastic experience at The Snipe as always, the food is always spot on but the team are top notch. They welcome you with a smile and seem genuinely happy to be there and serve you. Recommend it to everyone!

Great tasting food/ good range of drinks available. (Only pub/restaurant i know local that sell koppaberg 😱) and a good atmosphere majority of the time. Used to have deals on Sundays but not anymore, which is a bit of a bummer seen as that's the day we mostly go but oh well. Whoever planned the toilets/cubicles was a bit of a over sight as there more like kids toilets can hardly get in them but not a deal breaker.

Great food, nice friendly staff and good to watch football and play a game or 2 of pool, been here loads of times

I have popped in today with my dog for a quick bite to eat. Great clean pub and friendly staff. The food was spot on and they even had gravy bones for my dog. Will be returning soon.
