It's a nice little pub/b&b with good sized rooms. I arrived on "Pie Night" and enjoyed a great pie served by a nice person, Can't ask for much more than that.

Wonderful village pub, hotel and restaurant. Perfect location, very quiet village location only 15 mins from Corby. Stayed for a couple of nights for work, room was well equipped, with everything you need, wonderfully comfortable. Hosts were perfect, friendly and attentive. Breakfast was freshly prepared to your requirements, using quality local produce, and proper coffee, setting you up for the day ahead. Pin was nice in the evening, good stream of people using restaurant, proper traditional pub values. Really highly recommend staying here, excellent value and very comfortable.

Four of us stayed here 14th Jan Saturday night. A snug bar with wood fire was welcoming. Then we were taken to our rooms which were fabulous warm and welcoming. We had booked a table and had a fantastic meal from a simple menu using local products. We enjoyed our hosts attentions and great stories as we ate and obviously drank some wine. Prices were very fair for this restaurant quality food. Sunday morning and a great full English breakfast. We definitely recommend The George.

We had the most wonderful stay. The hosts were very personable and accommodating, the food superb and the room was very comfortable. We will definitely try and stay here again the next time we are in the area.

We loved our stay. The rooms are very comfortable and the owners are super friendly and accommodating. Also the food is so delicious! We will definitely stay agin when we are in the area. It’s also in a picturesque village conveniently located about 12 min to everything!

Nice pub, mostly taken over with tables for eating but it is still possible to just have drinks. A few real ales on - which is good. The landlady was very friendly and helpful. The food was excellent, very tasty and not expensive either. Don't expect huge portion, but very good value for money.

My wife and I stayed recently and were very impressed with a lovely room and excellent food. The landlord and his wife were most welcoming and the pub had a great atmosphere. We will definitely stay here again on our next visit to this part of the country.

Fantastic Sunday lunch, the best I have EVER tasted anywhere and desserts also really lovely. Also extremely good value for money with Sunday lunch main course only £12.95 (as of April 2023). Great range of real ales and lovely cosy pub with very friendly and attentive staff. They also have rooms for an overnight stay, although I've never used them so can't comment on the quality and comfort but I'm sure they're lovely too. Cannot rate the place and the food highly enough. Well well worth a visit and a lovely place to take both family and friends.

We celebrated our silver wedding anniversary at the George in Ashley last weekend with friends. We stayed overnight and enjoyed an excellent evening meal and delicious breakfast. The rooms were exceptionally clean and comfortable. The owners are dedicated, hard working and very welcoming and friendly. We highly recommend the George at Ashley for any occasion. Superb experience, great quality food. I had the Pork Belly and Halloumi Fries. Lagunitas on tap, cosy atmosphere and amazing value for money. I'll be back.

A pleasant country pub. The food at lunch time was quite satisfactory at a fair price. The gents was the cleanest I've ever come across in a pub. Going to try the dinner menu which looks quite tempting.

We chose to stay here on way home (Herts) from holiday in Scotland. Lovely setting in quiet village. There is no onsite parking, but we parked just across road from The George on main street. Accommodation is basic but comfortable and welcomed our 2 Springer Spaniels; what we wanted from a country inn. Good wireless network connectivity too Food is exceptionally good. We had dinner and cooked breakfast and both were excellent. Neil, the landlord, was friendly and helpful. Overall, great value for money and highly recommended.

Very nice pub with local ales and friendly staff. Had delicious steaks on last visit but have also had a great Sunday lunch there. Looked after our young daughter very well, would highly recommend.

My first time being here. I had a very comfortable stay. Nice fluffy bed with a good amount of pillows, the whole room was in great condition. The services that are available to you are also clearly outlined. I slept really well, woke up to have breakfast which was just a superb (Full English) but what topped off my experience was the customer service. Just spot on very professional and accommodating. Staff that are willing to go that extra mile for you. If you find yourself here you’re in for a treat.

A great place! We are regular visitors here but posting this review after having dinner last Friday with friends. As usual the whole experience was lovely. A great menu, and all the food we had was delicious. Great drinks also, but the ambience and the gently welcoming and jovial manner of the team was delightful. Highly recommended!

The food both in the evening and at breakfast was amazing! Really good, and the whole team really looked after us brilliantly and were so lovely to us too. The village is an idyllic setting to relax and have a lovely break. We did some beautiful dog walks around the area and it was so great that the George was happy for our dog to come with us and even be seated with us at dinner in the cosy Snug area of the bar/restaurant. Thank you so much for such a lovely and comfortable stay. It was a really enjoyable weekend and such a great place to be!

We booked this stay randomly and were amazed with the room ambience and cleanliness. The owner is very nice and friendly. We stayed one night and next morning stayed after the breakfast which was included with stay. A very refreshing and healthy breakfast as per our choice. I would definitely recommend to stay here.

Just had a delicious meal at this lovely little country pub. I started with scallops and black pudding which was cooked perfectly, very tasty and not too heavy. My partner had a panko breadcrumbed goats cheese with beetroot and walnut salad which was also devoured with relish! My main course was a hangar steak with chimmichurri sauce on mac n cheese, a novel combination which really worked. It was rich and full of flavour and extremely filling. Helen opted for salmon & prawns with a shrimp butter, which she also really enjoyed. By this time we were both bursting so just had coffee, although looking at the desserts that were coming out we wished we had left a little bit of room! Great service, atmosphere and genial hosts. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! I

Stayed one night, had steak dinner and breakfast. All food was amazing! Really comfy and clean room. The family that run this place are very friendly and really passionate about what they do. Highly recommend if you're nearby.
