The interior lobby was aesthetically pleasing, and the room size surpassed the typical standards found in Italian/European hotels, even including a couch for added comfort. The bed provided a good level of comfort, and the spacious bathroom was a notable feature. Regrettably, the presence of numerous mosquitos inside the room proved to be quite troublesome. Despite our efforts, we encountered three mosquitos before bedtime and suffered multiple bites overnight, experiencing firsthand the persistence of Italian mosquitos. Moreover, the inconvenience of a clogged shower and difficulty in regulating the room temperature added to the challenges. In addition, the level of friendliness displayed by the staff fell short of expectations. These issues collectively diminished the overall experience of our stay.

One of the worst hotel experience me and wife have been through. We did our marriage preparations on this hotel. 2 weeks before our check-in, my wife informed the staff (via phone call because they didn't respond on our email) that we were having 5 guests in the morning. One make-up artist, one photographer, her mother, her sister and one guest from our wedding. They agreed. So we were expecting everything is good until we arrive on the day of our check-in. The reception oriented us about the hotel, our room, breakfast, parking etc. Then we reminded them that we will be having 5 guests on which my wife and the staff that she talked to have agreed on. The reception said that we can't have 5 guests, he said that we should have it in writing or we should have it emailed and he didn't know who was the person we talked to. First of all we did email you, you didnt respond to it. Second, isn't your job to have it in writing or at least make a note for our requests so in case that the staff we talked to isn't there on the day of our check-in, the reception will be able to see our requests? And you don't even know your staff and you expect us to know them ourselves. Really? Thankfully the marriage went smoothly but it would've gone better if not for this hotel. It's just a shame a 4 star hotel with this kind of reception.

Not sure how this is a 4 star. Wifi barely operational, staff don't explain the services of the hotel. Rooms are ok, could do with a make over. Shower had almost no water pressure. Breakfast was an average continental offering

Rooms were bad. Lowest a/c temp was 25°C for some weird reason. Bathroom ceiling had a massive ongoing leak that actually dripped on me while doing my business. Kids also got bitten by bed bugs. Service in the reception was nice though, friendly personnel. Breakfast could have been better but wasn't expecting much after the room experience.

The room had bugs in it which we pointed out to the staff after which they changed the room to single beds instead of a double-bed and didn't even apologize for the inconvenience. The room air-conditioning didn't work, the staff was notified and they reassured that it would work but it never did. The only thing good about the place was breakfast.

Nice hotel with free underground parking near Milan. We stayed at the Royal Garden for New Year's Eve. Large, representative, it was very calm, apparently due to small number of guests. Milan city center is easily reached by train in 15 minutes. The furnishings of the room are beautiful, but I was a little surprised by the size of the bed - it is not really wide. And another very surprising fact is the number of mosquitoes. In January, with +7deg outside and even colder during nights! Our suspect is that the mosquitoes are cultivate inside the hotel ventilation system, as they kept coming during the night (~10-15 per night!) with all windows closed. The staff was friendly, but there was a lack of information. There was no activity on New Year's Eve. We didn't understand if the bar was even open.

Dear Royal Garden Hotel, Please do not open for bookings until you have completed renovations. This hotel needs a serious upgrade, very dusty, lobby furniture worn out and needs replacing. Location is also a big negative far from civilization. Active reno going on complicates everything. Staff/ management needs to revise certain protocols in emergency situations. I got there for checkin and there was NO ELECTRICITY. The run around, lack of communication and customer service was appalling. The amount of hazards you exposed guests to was beyond disappointing. PLEASE FIX YOUR ISH AND COME AGAIN FOR BUSINESS!

After reading the negative reviews, I was concerned about staying here, but thankfully I have had an absolutely pleasant time. The hotel and rooms are not "old" it's a classic style and they are renovating but it's still super pleasant to stay here. The employees are not rude, they are professional and pleasant to talk to. I did have one or two bugs in my room, but a simple opening the window for a while few minutes and one was gone, the other I had to squish and dispose of. Sure it's not perfect to deal with, but it's absolutely easy to fix The room can be extremely warm, but simply turn off the heat at your thermostat, open the window for a few minutes, and bring a small USB fan to plug into the wall, and it makes the room extremely comfortable. Hotel is very close to the metro, and a short drive from a large supermarket and a large shopping mall is nearby as well. While I can see the warmer months being a little bit of a challenge, staying in fall, winter or spring shouldn't be a problem as long as you come prepared.

Zimmer war extrem gruselig und ist total runtergekommen. Schimmel im bad. Steckdosen gab es nur zwei Stück die sehr versteckt waren. Rezeption war top.

Also zunächst das positive. Gut erreichbar, sehr freundliches Team, sehr großzügige Zimmer. Gute Ausstattung.

I liked the rooms, kind of an old style hotel, you can feel yourself inside the titanic. Servicewise okayish, was not feeling very welcome...the pc available to the guests did not let me to login to my gmail as the web browser was some old, unusual, not user friendly browser that restrict access to many webpages. Dont know why else would someone need a pc in a hotel these days? read a newspaper? Location was okay, metro was 7-9minutes walk from the hotel and it takes around 20 mins to reach the city center. P.S. although the pictures show the 'royal garden' it was a deserted garden, no service nearby and no one basically uses it. P.S. 2, some pictures show a pool, however be careful, it does not belong to the hotel, the picture was deliberetely taken:)

Room carpets were wet and moldy Several mosquitos in the room on arrival Room telephones don't work so forget reaching anyone for help Walls had wet stains from leaks that are clearly still present (room 434) If you call front desk and don't speak Italian you get hung up on so zero attempt to assist

We attended an event and we enjoyed the place. The guests seemed to be quite elegant which is always a good sign. The receptionists were very helpful and professional!

Very friendly hotel. Although it looks like a typical business person's lodging, it hides a heart of gold. I'll return (with my dog).

Even if is “far” from Milano (direct metro -15 minutes from Duomo), the hotel is amazing, with nice view, beautiful garden, space and nice restaurant. The room was big, clean and comfortable.

Perfect location if you have to spend a night after a concert at the Forum di Assago. Great morning buffet! The rooms are ok but a bit dated

Big and elegant room. Comfortable bed. I only had breakfast and it has good variety of things and quality is high: fresh fruit salad, fresh made orange juice, good cakes and sweets. Also continental breakfast is available.

  • 4/5 Luciano T. 6 years ago on Google
The hotel is very close to the Forum, if you come here for an event, it is a short walking distance. Overall the hotel is very good but at least in the room we booked there were no sockets to recharge phone and cameras (we had to unplug a lamp for it). The bath tub had issues with draining water and we found that the room was a bit cold. Excellent breakfast buffet.

Extremely friendly staff. I liked the bright hall, the room with its stylish furniture, the tasty dinners. Not so much the breakfast (as usual in Italy) lots of sweet stuff, little healthy stuff like e.g. wholemeal bread, unsweetened cereals. In general a very pleasant stay!

This is the nastiest hotel any human being can stay in. This hotel should be reported to the health department. Im sure any person staying in this hotel gets sick afterwards. The rooms are disgusting. You will be sleeping with all different insects. No matter where you look you will find spiders, mosquitoes, bed bugs and all sorts of nasty things around you. The staff is horrible. After receiving our rooms and seeing how disgusting they are, we went down and notified the staff and they did not even apologize. They gave us another room and it was even more disgusting than the first one. Even though it was late at night and we had no other options we would have rather stayed on the streets than sleep here. We notified the staff that we cannot stay in these rooms and Antonio the employee there said that we can contact our card service and notify them what happened and we can get a refund. After contacting them on the property the card service said they will contact the hotel and antonio talked to them and said we are willing to offer a refund. After a couple of days our card service contacts us and notifies us the hotel declined the refund. I have never in my life seen this kind of terrible service in my life. Do not stay at this hotel!! There is absolutely no way this is a four star hotel, its a scam! Go see other reviews, it's disgusting! Im sure there faking there stars, this should be a zero star hotel! NO ONE STAY HERE IF YOU VALUE YOUR HEALTH! It is absolutely digusting!!!
