This is “the place” to have breakfast in Assisi. Simple, uncomplicated, ok price, is where locals come to have a cappuccino and corneto. You can sit next to them in a table under the beautiful renaissance loggia and watch people pass by in front of the elegant fountain. Observe that The price is different if you stay at the terrace.

Absolutely horrid service. The waitress took our order, came back half an hour later with it. Dumped my drink on the table when she brought it over. 30 min later I asked for another. We lost track of time talking that we didn’t realize it had been almost an hour. I finally gave us, along with many others and went to pay. Handed her the receipt and she added a drink to it. Cashier argued with me that I apparently got the drink… I didn’t, and demanded cash. She repeated 5 or 6 times “we cash only”…. When I said fine, I won’t be able to pay then, a magical credit card machine came out. Local family behind me assisted, said this has happened before. Highly recommend avoiding this dump.

When an establishment has 2 people collecting finished cups and glasses and only 1 taking orders, you know they have bad priorities. Was waiting so long to even just get a menu, when I tried to ask the waitress snapped at me - so rudely. No respect or care for customers which is such a shame as we tried to go there for our final evening for a drink, but the rudeness of staff and bad priorities gave us such a bad experience

Their straight up espresso isn’t terrible, but their americano is terrible. They will charge extra for sitting outside and won’t tell you, so if you’re just there for an espresso, just stand at the bar. The service is not great, and the waitresses are pretty rude. And they turn especially mean if you try to pay with a card.

We had two good experiences here. Waiters spoke English to us, they let us in even when they were cleaning up and closing for a quick purchase, free wifi, their traditional breakfast pastries were yummy, and one of the only places open during the low season (late January). They were closing around 23:30 on a Saturday night when everything else was closed, and they were one of the only cafes open on a Sunday morning.

Really nice and cute Café in the center of assisi. Food is really good (available savoury warm/cold and bakery items) Prices are good and bathrooms available. Staff was really friendly too!

Can't pay with card so we sent someone to get cash but staff were very mean and pushy couldn't even wait until someone got cash We were denied service and couldn't go to the toilet

Flies on the sandwiches. Espresso was the most disgusting thing i have ever had, the chocolate was even worse. The service was really bad and rude. The bathroom was like Chernobyl and unpractical. CHIUDETE
