Great wide open space on South Eastern part of town. Great hiking along wide paths in rolling hills. Has lots to offer: disc golf, dog park, picnic areas, playground, restrooms, plenty of free parking. Adjacent to Chalk Mountain golf course. A beautiful place Heilman Park!

My favorite dog park in the area to take my husky. Not completely wood chips like the rest, so her feet aren't getting torn up and splintered. Nice up/downhill run to get the doggies tired quickly. Water bowls and a pool are there for use by any and everyone.

Nice, setup, but unlike other dog parks I've utilized, there is no grass. Very dusty and stark. There is water, water bowls, shade structures and picnic tables. Totally supported by volunteers. On your honor to clean up after your pet, bags and containers provided.

This is the best dog park I have ever been to. There is so much space for your dog to play, fetch, and socialize with many dogs. This dog park has plenty of tennis balls for your dog to have a great time. I enjoy that there are picnic tables and umbrellas to provide shade on hotter days.

Has shade. Very spacious. Plenty of parking. A restroom close by. Lots of toys and balls. Lots of tables and seating. A water tub. Totally love this place. Plus green grass park right next to it with plenty of shade and room for Frisby and ball play on grass.

Off leash dog park with separate yards for large and small dogs. Shaded tables for their humans. Water, tennis balls and a dog wading pool. Close to a children's playground

Our favorite part of this park is the pool! The pups would run a lap, dive in the pool and then take another lap! its got a smaller dog area too! its always well stocked with bags, well kept trash cans and plenty of shaded seating. There are multiple water bowls chained to the ground with water right there. If the water in the pool is nasty, just dump it and refill it, everyone will appreciate it! Also nice that the ground is soft sand. the dogs might get muddy if jumping in the pool but better than tripping in a hole of packed dirt.
