Walden Dog Park and Walking Trail

Park

😠 Terrible dog park, especially if you have smaller dogs. This park just has a large open area where both large and small dogs are supposed to mingle. Not! An active train track right next to the park makes it almost impossible to hear your dogs much less call commands to them. I will not be returning... People often mention park, dogs,

Just the right size for your dog to run around. Low traffic park.

This dog park backs up to a bunch of houses, many containing overly aggressive dogs, and lots of damaged fences, allowing smaller dogs to get through. Hot and full of mosquitoes, not really worth it.

Nice hidden gem in our neighborhood. Our dog loves this park, plenty of shaded areas and not overly crowded.

In this beautiful area is where we sent my cousin off to prom. What a blast.

This is a simple dog park. No special amenities, but I personally like the simplicity. This means there is just room to roam and a water fountain to let the pups get a drink of water. There is no separation for dogs of different sizes, so use at your own discretion. There is a winding gravel walking trail that is decently shaded by tree cover for you to meander about while your furry friend(s) play. As always, please remember to pick up after yourself and your pup's "messes".

There's no playground or sports fields like shown in some people's photos. It is a decent dog park though. We brought our kids here with the dog to play and it was a let down, but as a dog park on its own merits it was enjoyable.

This dog park and walking trail is a great benefit to local users in an easy convenient location for dogs and their owners! The only negative is the few available benches are not situated in shaded areas which if more were placed along the walking trail, would provide more comfort to seniors or homeowners who might suffer from excessive heat. These extra benches would be a great addition to an already wonderful facility! Thanks from a Silver Lure street resident.

This dog park has a sign for the local homeowners although I had no trouble getting into the gate to walk my doggie. It’s a nice big lot with several huge trees and a couple of benches to sit for a rest. There’s also a small space for dog washing and water bowls for thirsty dawgs…I highly recommend, however it’s off the beaten path of the main road.

Great place to take your doggies! With all the trees there is good shade for this Houston heat. The neighbors of the park have put out extra water bowls & towels for wet doggies!
