A definite must have for pizza lovers if in Athens. Good beer selection and nice open outside seating area.

This is the epitome of β€œcraft” pizza for broke college kids. Absolutely nothing special. Skimpy toppings. Served cold twice. Would rather pay half price and go to My Pie. It’s way better. If I could tag My Pie here to redirect customers from this sad pizza I would. NOT WORTH IT.

Cool, funky setting. The flavors here are complex, not really a kid's pizza joint. The marinara had a smoky, almost curried flavor - very interesting. The salad and house dressing are fresh but a lot of the breads were dry. I enjoyed the antipasto with lots of fancy meats and olives. They had some great looking desserts in the case and I tried the banana pudding cupcake. While I think everything is a pretty solid three here, those cupcakes were a FIVE!

What a surprise! I walked up because of the smells and the atmosphere, I was disappointed that it was thin crust (as I have never loved thin crust) but was happily surprised with the flavors. Honestly, a fuller crust may have taken away from this. I was a little apprehensive of the prices as well, however, it ended up doing the trick for my husband and I. All around, I was impressed and probably will go back again.

Great food at a great price! This was our first visit, but we would definitely eat here again. We had the garlic knots as our appetizer. Go ahead and get the dozen because they are small. It comes with garlic butter and marinara for dipping. Pretty good, but they could use a bit more garlic. For our entrees, we tried the meatball sub and the polpetta pizza. Both were delicious.

So far, the best pizza in Athens. I really don't understand anything else other than thin crusted pizza. And Ted has a good approach to that. Service is minimal. After we sat down, nobody came to our table. You have to walk to the counter, grab a menu, and order there. They do bring the food to your table, and service is REALLY FAST when there is less crowd. I will definitely come here again to try the other pizzas. We ordered the margarita with sliced meatball and Florentine with pepperoni. Yes, sometimes you have to order the meat separately.

We recently spent a couple of days in Athens. It's been a few years since I was last at Ted's, happy to say the food is still great! On a very cool, almost cold evening, my husband and I stopped in for an early dinner. We chose to sit inside where it was nice and warm. The staff was welcoming and prepared our food in a timely fashion. We ordered panini's which were made to perfection.

The food is about the same quality as what you would make in a toaster oven at home and doesn't taste as good. There are at least two other places in downtown Athens that do what Ted's does, but better.

The sauce tasted old. The cheese is low quality. The crust tasted burnt even when it wasn't. I would consider little italy hands down over this place unless your just drinking and like trash pizza

Very disappointing. The food was over-priced for what we got. Each dish was $8.50 for a side and six-inch subs. Subway and Firehouse Subs are both better in price AND quality. My husband ordered a meatball sub. There was barely any sauce on it, and he said the meatballs tasted old. My Italian sub barely had oil on it. The bread was old and used "enriched" flour instead of actual wheat. The bread was crunchy as heck, too. My husband said the butternut squash soup was curdled as well. A side note: at least my salad was tasty even if it was mixed greens and banana peppers.

I used to work in a specialty pizza when I was young,so I like to think I know good pizza. But this location must be spoiled on college patrons.I took a friend from out of town here (wanted to try a new place) and we were both blown away by the lack of quality in the crust and sauce and you don't shred feta people! Also,..canned coke?!? It was really an unexpected experience. For this quality it was very over priced. Its too bad too 'cause its a great location.Good atmosphere and nice enthusiasm on part of employee at register.

We came to Athens for a little day trip. TMB was highly recommended by multiple locals and Google. Had the chicken parm sub. Did not like it. It was very bland and dry. The breaded chicken really wasn't breaded, and it didn't have enough sauce. I had to add salt, crushed red pepper, and ranch (which costs $1 for a little container, why?) to make it taste like something. I only ate half before i gave up on it. The kids had pizza and spaghetti. They also didn't eat but about half. The desserts: Banana pudding was good. The cake pop was not. Caramel cheesecake was good. The service was amazing, and that goes a long way. The atmosphere was cool. I won't be coming back. Overall, nothing to rave about or to recommend to anyone.

Beautiful looking desserts as you head to the counter to order. Lots of indoor and outdoor seating. Sandbox for the kids outside. Great menu of mostly sandwiches and pizza but they have a nice selection of salads so I can go there and keep the carbs lower.

I used to love Ted's. And I don't know what's happened but the customer service has gone to hell. It's like talking to TSA at the airport. And the pizzas used to be great but now it seems like they could all go another 3 minutes in the pizza oven. Everyone seems so put upon to have to bring you something or if you ask for something. I miss liking Ted's, could we like step it up?

Everything was delicious. I got the lunch special which is a smaller calzone with half a salad. We also enjoyed the sliders and garlic knots.

They're now offering delivery! Yay! I'm excited by all of the gluten free options: pizzas, calzones, salads, &/or pastas. They have roasted chicken, but I wonder if the meatballs are gf? πŸ€” That would be great!

The salad was lettuce l Leaves a sprinkle of banana peppers and your salad dressing! Maybe to some appetizing but not to me Then you get to your mill which I thought was a dinner portion at $11 There's 3 meatballs and literally 3 bites of noodles that were soggy from being overcooked or sitting in the water / warmer. well I should have known something when i was the only person beside the 3 workers i would say maybe a kids portion & the meatballs taste like cat food smells

I found another gem in this college town thanks to my dear friend Maria. The calzones are well worth the bucks, and the customer service is okay. I’d say they could improve their customer service skills a bit, in that, our drinks never once got refilled and when we arrived there, we saw workers eating in the baking area. I personally think that workers should not eat in the place where they bake and that our drinks should get filled. It’s not like they were busy. Other than that, I would go back.

Very fun place to eat in Athens. Indoor and court yard. Super nice staff. Parmesan chicken sandwich was great. Salad and house dressing were wonderful.

The pepperoni pizza was pretty good, and the chicken parmesan was decent.

Might want to change the name. I know it’s counter service, but why am I being asked to tip 20% when I’m getting my own napkins, silverware, condiments, etc. etc. just dropped off the food and left, didn’t even ask if we needed anything or offer to get us what we needed. Food was meh at best and on top of it the slice of cheesecake we paid over $7 for had MULTIPLE hairs in it.

Great, affordable pizza joint next to one of the premier breweries in the Southeast. The pizzas are all prepared at 10 inches, thin crispy crust, with a wonderful variety of toppings. We ordered 3 small pies for our little family of 5. Great value, great taste right in the downtown area of Athens.

Yum! Ted’s Most Best was delicious. Enjoyed pizza and a salad on a Thursday night with colleagues while in Athens for a conference. The Anjelica pizza with pear, prosciutto and Gorgonzola was delicious and the half baked goat cheese salad complimented the pizza well. Service was friendly and food came out quickly. Nice outdoor patio area proved to be a good spot for student and people watching. Will definitely make a return visit!

I don't know if there was a new inexperienced chef running the kitchen the night we went or something, but all four of our entrees - spaghetti, sliders, pesto chicken pasta and meatball sandwich - were pitiful servings, poorly presented on paper plates and bowls, and tasted like cheap, reheated storebought ingredients. The sad, dried out little margherita slider is pictured below. We hardly ever return food, but we had no choice but to ask for a refund. Not sure what the hype is about, but we won't be coming back any time soon.

Enjoyed eating at this restaurant. Tried to make a reservation but it is first come first serve. Counter service only but food delivered to your table. We all ordered pizza and most chose the build your own option (lots of options to choose from). The pizzas came up very quickly and all of us commented on how fresh and tasty our choices were. We had a selection of small cheesecakes for dessert. They were yummy!Good selection of wines and craft beers. Nice quick dinner.

While Ted's has been good in the past tonight was sub-par. Dough on bottom of Calzone was wet, pizza was oily, soaked through to the wax paper underneath, and eggplant parm was floppy... I get that there's a pandemic, but this doesn't make me want to go back again, despite all of the decent meals that we've had in the past

The gluten-free pizza was excellent. And, the outdoor seating was nicely shaded with trees. Overall, great experience at a great price. Will go again.

I was here for about a month in 2012 and could not get enough of this place. It was always jammed packed. Their pizza was the best pizza I had ever had (and I lived in NYC for years.) Tonight I was unimpressed. The pizza was underdone, and the place just seemed to have lost it's mojo. The pizza was still ok, but it wasn't what I was dreaming about during my week on the road driving here. It also was not large enough to count as dinner...I had to go elsewhere afterwards for something more to eat (although I did ride my bike 90 miles in the last two days so maybe I am more hungry than most.) Management: find your mojo! You have a bustling brewery right next door...why do you not have a delivery deal with them?

It is a nice place with a good atmosphere. It is suitable for families. The pizzas are interesting with nice, thin crusts. I would have preferred more toppings. They have delicious desserts though.

This was my first time eating here, my girlfriend recommended it so I gave it a chance and it was fantastic to say the least! If you have the chance definitely take a weekend and enjoy eating while sitting by the roads of Athens!

It's a cool place with a kinda groovy vibe. Is it my favorite pizza in Athens? Honestly, no, but that's not to say it wasn't good because it was. The beer selection wasn't necessarily my favorite but that's okay, too. Still, all in all, a pretty good little pizza joint.

La Carne pizza and strawberry cheesecake were great

  • 5/5 Meredith R. 3 years ago on Google
The food here is consistently good and the staff is friendly and helpful. They only have outdoor dining right now due to the pandemic (inside is only open for ordering and access to the restrooms) so we enjoyed the covered patio on our visit. Tables were spaced well, probably at least 8 feet apart, and masks were required while inside the building.

Delicious food and casual yet speedy service. Plenty of outdoor seating. Chicken parm sandwich was terrific! "House salad" is disappointing...it was a pile of spring mix lettuce with some banana peppers. Odd offering, but I didn't come for the salad anyway.

Ted's slider plate -- two sliders and half a salad (the beet is unbeatable) -- isn't just good eating, there's no better buy in Athens.
