I’ve been seeing Justin for a year and half now l, and he’s amazing! Great communicator, and he asks the right questions to get a desired result. I moved out of Athens six months ago, and drive 2 hrs back just to get cuts from him again. The new place is also so cute and stylish. Also shout out to the desk people because they’re always so helpful with scheduling appointments and getting you complimentary drinks. Love everyone at Washington Square. :)

I can not even begin to explain how much I loved this place. I just got done with my first appointment here with Caitlin (hopefully I spelled that correctly) and it was the first hair appointment I've had where I've walked away truly happy with the whole experience. This place is incredibly queer-friendly in ever sense of the phrase. Caitlin didn't keep trying to force conversations like a lot of stylists so which I appreciate since I am very introverted. She also was able to give me exactly what I wanted despite not being able to describe it very well. I will for sure be a repeat client from here on out.

Absolutely love! Everyone was so nice and inviting, especially my stylist Caitlyn. Caitlyn listened to what I wanted and gave me the best haircut I have ever had. I’ve gotten nothing but complements on my new hair and have never felt more confident. Will definitely be coming back!!

Hands down my fav local business! I’ve seen multiple stylist always with a great result. I adore their approach to hairstyling focusing on what’s best for your natural hair texture and you cannot ask for a better more inclusive environment. I cannot recommend them enough ♥️

Justin was amazing!! I was making a pretty big cut and he nailed it! He was so knowledgeable and paid attention to little details I said, like telling him I'm a PE teacher so he knew I needed to have enough hair left to pull all the way back. Sometimes it really is the little things! There was no awkward small talk & we had genuine lovely conversation throughout the appointment. The studio itself is also gorgeous! I absolutely love my hair and I can't imagine going anywhere else now!

Went to go get my long hair cut really short and showed pictures of exactly what I wanted. Came out with a ridiculous looking pixie cut (which did not look anything like the pictures I showed, also I clearly didn't ask for a pixie cut to begin with)- the bangs were much too short, the hair way too layered and cut unevenly, and the back left too long. I've been growing it out for 2 months now, and it looks somewhat okay but still weird. The layers are the worst part about it honestly, since the hairs at the top of my head stick up, and the lower hairs are so long that it pokes my eyes. The hairdresser was nice, like he seems like a cool person, but I wouldn't let him cut my hair again. Should've known something was up when he asked if I wanted to turn and face away from the mirror. At least he seemed a bit apologetic at the end though- I received a sample of the shampoo they used to wash my hair before the cut, and he offered a free bang trim for next time. Unfortunately, I have lost a lot of trust in this place after my costly and disappointing experience. If you want to get your hair cut short like a guy's, I'd recommend just going to a barber, otherwise you might end up with an terrible pixie cut.
