This nursing home was a total disappointment. They were negligent in so many ways. The facility is not clean, the staff is inattentive, the conditions unfit. The halls were cluttered with misc items that were a fire hazard. The facility is older which is not a concern to me if it had been maintained in the resident wings. It was not. Beds didn't operate correctly. Residents live 3 to a room. It's extremely crowded. Would never have someone I know/love stay here under any situation. Please research thoroughly before placing your loved one here.

This is the worst Rehab I have ever seen .They try to keep the front area clean however, it's not. They are paid good money with three people to a room. You are not allowed to go to rooms any more. Thank goodness for video and messenger. Was able to get pictures and video of room, hall way, food trays, bathrooms etc. I feel so sad for the residents that are still there. Much , much more to come ! Nasty..Understaffed..Some CNA are hateful and rude. Also have video of it taking 1.5 for a call button to be answered. Bed marked with date on sheet and bed was not changed for over a week..Oh my..so SAD for residents...Wish I could give negative stars....!!

PLEASE do NOT send your loved ones here. My family member was only there for 5 days and he was not being cared for. I don't believe the staff is there for the right reason(taking care of poeple) regardless of their part in his recovery. I read the reviews before he arrived and I should have taken all them seriously, as his well being is my main priority. Once I got him home he told me that he did feel neglected, that broke my heart. I trusted this facility to help him not to make it worse. In five days he already had a pressure wound on his heal and his bottom raw from sitting in wet diapers. I could not imagine how much worse it could have got if I had not visited and kept involved with his recovery. I have gone and notified the hospital that referred him to this place not to send ANYONE there. As no one deserves to be or feel neglected and uncared for. I CAN NOT express my true concerns towards this facility. Doors she be closed and the building demolished. This place really knows how to make it look and sound good on their website. Very deceiving. Thank you for taking the time to read my review, I'm posting this to prevent someone else's loved one not to have to experience a bad situation.

I would never place anyone there! Let me first say, the nursing/care staff are wonderful! That being said: The facility is disgraceful! The halls, rooms, and bathroom are horrendous. My mother was there for 3 days before we could get here transferred out and that was too long. It’s dingy, dark and depressing. It looks very unclean, smells unclean. The toilet was gross, as was the sink. I mentioned it to a nurse, and she replied, “It’s a very old building and there’s not much we can do about it”. The restroom was shared with another double room, no shower though. You have to go to a shower room to get clean. I felt bad for the full-time residents, such a depressing atmosphere. Whoever owns and/or runs this facility should be ashamed of the condition it’s in. Absolutely deplorable! I can’t believe there isn’t some governing body to inspect such places. This one would fail miserably!

I wish I didn't have to leave the one star. They don't deserve it. This place is horrible. Do not send your loved ones here. He got there on a Friday when I came to visit Saturday afternoon he had been in bed no diaper no clothes, just sitting in his own urine. The tiny room he was in was overly hot and the whole building smelled like urine. This place should be condemned.

They kept running out of wipes and gloves. Employees kept quiting. They lost my pill cases. The place was run down and needed painting. My orthopedic surgeon prescribed a ice pack after my knee replace surgery and they took it from me saying it was against their policy that anyone used one in their facility

During my fathers stay here they did some questionable things. Although, there were many things amiss, the people are generally very friendly. The bigger problem is management. I cant speak for when the place is busy it wasn't as of today. To begin with the toilet was not working. There should always be someone checking the systems work, The rooms were too dry. For anyone coming here make sure a humidifier accompanies your loved one especially if they have respiratory issues. When he choose a meal and the meal came without the main course. He let that go the first day but the second day they did the same thing. Most disturbing was a presence in the room where my dad was alone. Someone came in the room and could have been there from 5 to ten minutes. They finally left they only said "wrong room or im lost" something like that. This place needs an audit and needs money to be directed to renovation. I hope that if they are getting substantial amounts of money from the government someone reliable needs to oversee that it gets used for fixing, replacing and renovating things quickly and efficiently. This and many places could do alot better with a concerted effort.

If I could give 0 stars I would! This place is HORRIBLE, NASTY, UNPROFESSIONAL, SHORTSTAFFED most of the time and unorganized. They do not care about the patients at all. They harass the residents with horrible food and care. All the 5 star reviews you see are coming from the staff and that’s bc they made them do that for a raise. If you see this review trust me you do not wanna work/ nor bring your loved ones here. All the Cypress facilities in Atlanta are the same way.

My mom was a resident there in January and part of February on the short term rehab unit. The staff were very accommodating. My mom joked that she wasn’t going to want to go home after her therapy because she felt like she was in a 5 star hotel. The director or nursing -Marie- was amazing! She was so kind and checked on my mom often. She followed up on anything I had questions about and called me several times to check on me (I was having a harder time with my moms injury than my mom was). The aides Cynthia and Virginia were angels and Jamie and his therapy team were very informative and an absolute blessing. I can’t say enough about University!!!

Do not allow your love ones to be sent to this "nursing" facility or any for that matter. A civilized society needs proper healthcare and not throw away their old to beasts.. I can corroborate the previous low reviews. My father was taken there for rehab and he almost died after being isolated for four days even though he didn't have covid.

This was the worse rehab center I have ever dealt with. They are taking advantage of Covid and not allowing family in and they are understaff and under caring. My mom was in 3 days before we could even get a hold of anyone to check on her. The state should make a surprise check....it would probably be shut down. Beware. mom said she felt like she was in prison. Even the staff commented on how bad the food looked. My mom had Cpap machine and they never even got it out of the case. Do not allow anyone you love to go to this place.

This facility does not take care of your love ones . They don’t give the residents the care they each need and their response time is not good. My mother almost died here and they didn’t even let the family know. She ended up being in icu for 3 weeks. So please don’t put your love ones thru this uncaring experience.

I have to agree with Ms. Crenshaw. I have been in and out of this facility for the last 5 years and I can tell you that it is always clean and the staff is smiling and so are the residents that I have met over time. I go in at least 75-100 facilities annually and I can tell you that this one is right at the top with the best. I would feel good about them caring for my family.

I have been on staff for 11 + years at University. I served as admission director and Social Service Director. I am very proud of our staff as we currently are “ covid free”. Our residents are taken care of well. It’s a team approach every day. We have an excellent Rehab team as well. If your loved one needs rehab send them here . If the plan is for short term we will get them home.!

If you are offered a bed don't take it. Go anywhere else. My father was admitted for PT and wound care for his bed sores. We thought we were doing the right thing by getting him into around the clock care. They released him with no antibiotics and his bed sores had gotten so much worse. We had to admit him to ER 2 days after he left the facility. Avoid at all costs.

My brother is there. Most of the staff is great. Barb, Quinn, Melanie, Joan, Josh are all great. Jamie in therapy is great. The DON Marie is great. The food wasn’t the best. Great place!

I toured this facility the other day (looking to place my mother) and could not be more impressed by the friendly staff, all questions answered very thoroughly and attentively by the Director, and the cleanliness of the building!
