I would like to share my personal experience with Hotel key 12. Important to note this is describing my own point of view only. I live in Israel, a war broke out here in October and so I planned to fly with my husband to Athens to get away from the war zone. My husband and I decided to fly to Hotel Key 12 in Greece for two weeks and we were really looking forward to this break. The vacation was booked for November. Unfortunatly, and as later pointed out to the hotel and to booking (through which we have made the reservation),my husband was called up to reserve duty and there were concerns of flight disruptions, so I asked to cancel the hotel reservation. When we informed the hotel and to Booking,we we told that we would have to pay the full amount of the vacation to both of these entities (4,000 NIS), and that they have no intention of coming towards us at all :( We asked Booking to help us, but after weeks of trying, they claimed that the hotel manager is refusing to come towards us in any way. We are aware that the cancellation policy is 7 days in advance, and we canceled about 5-6 days in advance, but it was due to force majeure and not of our own free will. We were really looking forward to this vacation. We also tried to talk directly with the hotel manager (Manos). It was hard to get hold of him but in the end we succeeded. I pointed out to to him that the cancellation was made the day after my husband was called to reserve duty, and that there were flight disruptions and we did not know if it would go through in the end and we turned to him with a request if he could be considerate and give even a voucher for future redemption.. we were not even expecting to get money back, we just wanted to have the opportunity to enjoy the hotel at a different date. We offered the voucher solution - I pointed out to him that the vacation was booked for two weeks and from our side we would be happy if we get even a voucher of 4 days (even though we paid for two weeks) that would be great for us! Minos claimed that the cancellation policy is one week in advance - we pointed out to him again that this is a situation that is not known in advance and depends on force majeure and we would be happy to come and stay with him and even recommend him - Minos claimed he would get back to us.. some time has passed and we realized that we will not see the money, not half of the amount, not even a voucher for a few days on a date he would allocate us in advance. So it's a shame and really disappointing, but I would like my Israeli friends to hear my experience with the place. In summary, the author of this text had a negative experience with Hotel Key 12 in Athens. She and her husband booked a two-week vacation at the hotel for November, but they had to cancel it due to her husband being called up to reserve duty and flight disruptions. The hotel's cancellation policy is one week in advance, but the author and her husband tried to explain that their cancellation was due to force majeure. They offered to compensate the hotel by staying for four days instead of two weeks, but the hotel manager refused to budge. The author is disappointed with the hotel's lack of understanding and compassion in this situation. I hope this translation is accurate and helpful.

Great find. Nothing was more than a 20 minute walk. The metro is like 2 blocks away. There's a nice little coffee shop right around the corner. The staff is very friendly and attentive when needed. Comfy bed and couch. Do be aware you're in the heart of the city so it will be a bit noisy at times, like any place in the area. Drives in Athens love to honk.

Upon arrival, Manos met us at the apartment and kindly showed us around the place. The spacious apartment had a large living room, bedroom, kitchen, balcony and bathroom - everything we needed. The apartment is a short walk from Acropolis metro station and there are many restaurants nearby. We highly recommend 12 Keys apartments for your stay in Athens.

This revue is maybe too good, but it's year's since I was this pleased with a place. What a fabulous place! The staff is super friendly. The apartments are absolutely perfect for a stay, short or long. This is my second stay here, and I got a very warm and friendly welcome back. The location couldn’t be better, and the price is very cheap compared to what you get.

In a perfect gentrified area of Athens and only a short tram away from the city centre. Room was very clean, had all the amenities we could ask for and services were very efficient. Hosts Anastasia and Giannis were very kind and helpful providing recommendations for places to visit nearby, would definitely stay again.

We had a great time here. Giannis was extremely friendly, funny and helpful. He patiently spent more than half an hour to explain things to do and neighborhoods to visit to us. The location is very good, very close to Acropolis and the tram station. We also like that the surrounding is not too crowded or busy. Would definitely recommend it. Thanks Giannis!

Great location that was affordable and in very close proximity to Acropolis Museum and lively area. The customer service was also exceptional and I cannot thank the host Manos enough for such impecable service. Will definitely stay there again next time I'm in Athens!

The accommodation is conveniently located to a walking distance from the most touristic sites of central Athens. You don’t need to make extra expenses with transports as you can reach most sites very easily (15 minutes walk to the Acropolis, 20 minutes walk to Monasteraki). The building is brand new (with an elevator) in a quiet but yet lively neighborhood, you have shops around and the center of the city and night life remains very closed. Also metro station (Acropolis) is 5 minutes walk. The building and apartment were super clean and well furnished. My apartment (Superior Apartment) provided lots of convenient amenities (coffee machine, toaster, kettle, hairdryer, safe, TV, washing machine, air conditioning, Wi-Fi, etc.…). Sotiris is a wonderful, helpful and friendly host who makes sure your stay is comfortable and gives you plenty of tips and addresses.

Want all of the convenience of an Airbnb but with concierge service? Look no further than 12 Keys! Our apartment was spare but very clean, conveniently located, and the perfect home for a week away. Manos was extremely helpful. He made dinner reservations, arranged an airport taxi, provided rain ponchos on drizzly days, and generally was a friendly presence in the building.

I can’t understand. How come there’s this great apartment with this center location costs less than hotels. And it’s real. 100 stars.

12 Keys is undoubtedly one of the best places to stay in Athens. The location is safe, quiet, and is very close to many tourist areas. The rooms are exceptionally clean and modern, making for a truly great value stay. On top of this, Iannis and Anastasia are very welcoming hosts, giving us recommendations for nearby restaurants and stores, navigation for public transit, and more. I would definitely recommend the apartment style rooms they offer over any traditional hotel as this provides you with much more space and flexibility. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a safe place to stay in Athens.
