Still one of the best rock bars in Athens!!!

a MUST visit if you are even a little into rock/metal/dragons/medevil !!! I have been 7 days in Greece and so far the best bar i have been to. the owner is fantastic and very kind.

Great Metal bar to hang out at. Bartenders are super friendly and the atmosphere will keep your black out going with a little medieval twist. While the decorations are cool to look at, they would not appreciate you bringing your own suit of armor and brawling other customers.

My husband and I were looking for a rock and roll bar and we find the best! Amazing atmosfere and decoration and we had de opportunity to chat with Kostas, great guy with a beautiful soul. We had an amazing night even tho it was raining. We definitely want to come back to Athens and Excalibur Bar in our next trip!

Very nice place and one of the only couple rock bars left in Athens. Good music and nice drinks. However, we couldn't stay for as long as we would have liked. It's the same problem as with many places in Athens, there is no respect for non-smokers.

It's great! If you like over-the-top medieval/D&D, rock music, good whiskey, litre glasses of Guiness and even a few local craft beers. Can be quiet during the week so bring a group :)

Really great atmosphere, unique decorations and greatly trained staff.

Nicely decorated, good drinks selection, friendly stuff, great music. Can't go wrong with this bar if you're in the area and wish to have a beer while banging your head to classic metal tunes.

Best bar! We got multiple free shots and after being smashed we got free water to sober up! Place to be!

Loved this place! Good rock music, Metallica, ACDC, Helloween, and a 1L Carlsberg for 8€. You can smoke inside and it's not very crowded, not even on a Friday night

Excalibur bar comes second to none! Is the best rock bar down town Athens. A pure diamond! Awesome and loud rock & metal music. Beautiful decoration and wall art inside. Kind and fun employees and owner who provide excellent customer service at all times. Amazing variety of beers, drinks, cocktails and shots. They organise often events and they take good care of their loyal customers. 🤘💚🌹

Music is good and loud, drinks cold - so was the AC. One of the best rock/metal bars in town. And don't forget the dragons!!!

Great medieval themed bar, right outside the premises of the center of Athens. Well put , greatly designed and decorated, with murals, statues and a heavy medieval ornamentation on every single corner. People, guests, music and service is very based on the traits listed above and beyond expectation of the firstcomers. In addition to that, organisation skills are toping the rest, with plenty of themed parties, special nights and offers and finally reasonable prices! No need to say that if you fancy that kind of things you will have to visit at least once!

Our friends le d us to this place after visiting the night before. Please if you're staying in the neighborhood and looking for a late night bar to go to consider here. The bartender was incredibly friendly and the music was really fun, it gives the impression of a metal bar but as soon as we walked in they played George Strait -- apparently the DJ is pretty good at reading the room!

Kostas the owner has something we Greeks call mer'akee (love for what you prefer to do in your life) and that is evident in this 18 year old classic rock bar. I simply can't find a way to express my appreciation of the friendliness and detail stashed abundantly in this place. It feels half like a beautiful art exhibition (Excalibur swords, knight armors, dragons and more) and half like the bar Cheers from the TV series. Just come here and enjoy life with good friends. Totally recommended!!!!!

Sadly it's not accessible, but if you get inside, it's a Metal - Rock club that thrives in the heart of Athens. Great environment and staff.
