Such a lovely little place. We went in the evening and could see the Acropolis lit up, which really added to the ambiance. We enjoyed the olives and garlic bread to start, which were delicious. I was blown away by the slow cooked meat and potato dish. It was so delicious, warm, and aromatic! The waiter was kind enough to offer us a free drink, but as we both were not drinking he offered a dessert instead! We really appreciated the kindness and hospitality of the staff and would love to come back in the future.

The visit at Elaea Mezedadiko was a showcase of how every restaurant should treat their guests. The staff is doing more than their best to suit their guests’ needs - your glass of water or wine will never be empty - and the food is exquisite!!! We had a pleasure to taste saganaki cheese with wonderful gyros with pita made of rye and a Greek salad with a delicious feta. With some surprises after finished meal :) But what really stands out is the aforementioned service - you don’t want to miss this experience :)

The food was much less than traditional Greek food. Most of the ingredients were frozen and the toilets were very dirty. Also we noticed that the owner was insulting and threatening the staff(especially a young woman on the door) which was very upsetting to see. In general a very bad experience. Service here was amazing. Very attentive and super helpful in helping us pick out a wine to go with our meal. We had already had dinner but wanted to try the roe egg salad, sardines with tomatoes, and fried feta with honey and sesame seeds. All of the food was stellar. The egg roe was like a smoked salmon mousse that paired beautifully with the stewed sardines and pita. Would definitely recommend. I would have loved to have tried more of the menu but next time.

An amazing way to end our first day in Athens. Lamb kleftiko was exceptional, lamb was tender with a perfect combination of potatoes and cheese. 10 December 2019: i visited this restaurant on Saturday (2 days ago) and had a pleasant experience. However on Tuesday evening, the service was not great (only 1 serving staff who was lovely but overworked - no one helped her). However, the worst was my meal. I ordered the stuffed peppers again (photo below). But this time around the peppers were soggy and unappetizing. I also ordered the walnut cake which was almost icy cold and unappetizing 7 December 2019: Lovely service from Irene and the staff. Lovely portions. Unfortunately i was too full to eat much (as i had a huge yogurt smoothie less than an hour prior to dining). I paid €8.50 for a meal of stuffed Peppers (rice inside), stuffed tomato (rice) & pan-fried potatoes.

Went there based on reviews put on TripAdvisor on my first evening in Athens. Cannot fault the service. As I told the waitress that I was v hungry, she recommended that I try the lamb kleftiko which was indeed a v large portion. Huge lamb shank slow cooked with loads of potatoes, cheese and some red peppers. Thank God I did not order bread as recommended by the waitress and I would have stuffed myself with loads of carbs. The restaurant gives a local drink similar to oozo and some little toasts on the house before the meal and another less strong but slightly sweet alcoholic drink with Greek yoghurt and a bit of fruit on top. Had I known that I would have not ordered the baklava. It was good too. This place is literally less than 5 steps after you leave the Acropolis metro station.

Very nice restaurant! To be honest it was not my first option at the very beginning, but the food is delicious, served quite quickly. The staffs are very friendly, they also provide dessert for free which is kind of surprising.

My friend recommended the restaurant as the food is great but the staff are incredible. Siros recommended wines based on our taste, and came back with more suggestions all in the implicit price range. When they’re going to that much effort for 0 extra dollars, it’s reassuring… throughout the meal Siros brought samples of wines we’d discussed to get a flavour of Greeces diversity… Also, like the wine, they brought stuff to the table we didn’t ask for (like extra bread); I wouldn’t expect this, but it wasn’t extra on the bill… I got the sense they just wanted us to enjoy the meal.
