Absolutely met and exceeded our expectations. A true European classic hotel one rarely finds, superb location in heart of Athens with unbeatable Acropolis views. Our room perfectly appointed, exceptionally quiet and with most comfortable bed and linens. Rooftop bar, terrace and restaurant first class. All staff excellent, couldn’t be more hospitable. Stayed 4 nights and back again in 2 weeks. Cannot recommend this hotel more highly.

While the front isn't much to write home about, everything else is par excellence. The service is attentive without being obsequious, and of course, almost nothing beats the view at breakfast on the magnificent Acropolis. A word: I missed American Airlines Advantage Hotels to book my stay and they royally screwed up, sending the wrong room than what I paid for and so for the majority of my stay I was relegated to a lower floor room since there was no vacancy. However, the management, eager to rectify the situation, gave me my original room for my last night. Thank you for a lovely stay, even if it started out rocky. I will be back (and booking directly!)

The staff here are incredible, the breakfast is delicious. We absolutely loved our stay here and the views are fantastic. My husband ended up leaving some items in the closet and the staff were kind enough to mail them to our next hotel in Greece. Overall, I felt like they went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. Would definitely recommend!!

A must for anyone staying in Athens! I've been coming to Athens for 15 years, and this is by far the best hotel I've stayed at. First off, I booked the wrong night and before I even arrived the front desk staff helped me change my room w/o any difficulty which was a great help. When we arrived we were met with excellent service and professional staff. Everyone that works here has excellent communication skills and is very accommodating when it comes to specific requests or questions. Finally, the hotel itself is beautiful. The views of the Acropolis are breathtaking and the Parthenon is a short walk. Located in the heart of the Plaka, you really don't need to go far to enjoy the best Athens has to offer. In closing-Stay here, have fun and tip your staff-they deserve it.

This is a beautiful hotel with a nice spa in the basement, a pool and bar on the rooftop, a lovely garden to eat in and a fabulous rooftop restaurant with a stunning view of the acropolis. Service was excellent and my room was very clean and nice although somewhat dated. I did enjoy the large bathtub daily. I look forward to another stay at this hotel.

Rooms need an update but staff are friendly and the hotel is well situated in the center. Easy access to main tourist attractions, shopping, restaurants and bars. But be aware, the area is a magnet for pick pockets (speaking from experience right outside the hotel)so keep your valuables safe. If you want a glimpse of the Acropolis, the roof restaurant for breakfast and dinner is great. Some rooms also offer nice views. The food is very good but food and drinks are a bit pricey.

Our expectations for a 5 star hotel were not met. Good: • the views from the restaurant and pool area • the food in the rooftop restaurant was amazing • the friendly staff • centrally located in the Plaka The bad: • The walls are paper thin • Food from the room service is of poor quality compared to the price • the “Acropolis View” rooms are not what they are advertised as. There is a view of the acropolis only when standing at the balcony • the towels were not changed but just folded and hung back up • the room’s finishing was poor (open gaps in panels, dust and/or fungi growing in the bathroom, no place to put large luggage) • they take your credit card details when you arrive (even when the room and taxes were paid) and then take your credit card details again when you check out

Excellent location - near all the major attractions. Very friendly and helpful staff. Rooftop bar/restaurant where they server breakfast and dinner has a beautiful view of the Acropolis. Good breakfast. From the negative side... Rooms are a bit outdated and the beds are too soft.

What a fantastic place for a winter weekend getaway! My recent stay at the Electra Palace hotel was truly delightful. From the moment I arrived, I was impressed by the high level of service provided by the attentive staff. Their warm smiles and genuine hospitality made me feel instantly welcome. The hotel itself boasts elegant decor and comfortable accommodations, perfect for a cozy winter retreat. The amenities were top-notch, and I especially enjoyed relaxing in the spa after a day of exploring the city. While the overall experience was superb, I must mention that there was a slight issue with sound isolation between rooms. At times, noise from neighboring rooms could be heard, which slightly affected the tranquility of the stay. Despite this minor inconvenience, I would highly recommend the Electra Palace hotel to anyone looking for a luxurious and memorable getaway. The exceptional service and charming ambiance more than make up for any small imperfections. I can't wait to return for another visit!

We stayed at the Electra Palace Hotel from 24 to 30 November 2023. We enjoyed our stay very much. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Our room was well furnished and clean. The rooftop terrace with bar and restaurant for dinner and breakfast offered a beautiful view of Acropolis and over the city. The breakfast buffet offers a wide selection. On my wife's birthday we enjoyed dinner in the rooftop restaurant and were surprised with a serenade from the staff. The hotel is very centrally located and the sights are within easy walking distance.

The location is very convenient for sight seeing. The room is quite comfortable. The roof top cafe and restaurant have great view of Acropolis. I was not so keen about the dinner, especially the turbot fish dish, somewhat fishy taste. After one bite of it, my appetite was totally shutdown. That might just be my individual experience. The waitress was very nice, tried to replace it with another dish, but I just couldn't eat anything else after that.

This hotel is classy. The rooftop pool and restaurant are unbeatable with the Acropolis as a backdrop. The rooms are spacious with traditional decor. Service was great and the location is hard to beat, with the plaka only steps away. This was my second stay here, and it was better than the first many years ago. I will continue to come back and have this be my Athens mainstay.

If you stay in Athens, than this is the best hotel to stay in! Very clean facilities. Great location, walking distance from city attractions. Hotel staff are very kind and friendly! I got the pleasure to meet the guest relation manager Sofia - good vibes and energy! She made us feel like we are part of a family. We will come back for sure !!!

  • 5/5 Gabriele T. 10 months ago on Google
We did not stay there for the night but just went there on inspection. The staff was smiling and welcoming, from the restaurant to the cleaning service. Special thanks to Sofia, the guest relation manager for the time she dedicated us, we really appreciated it.

I love this hotel! Favorite place I've stayed in Athens. The location is so convenient for exploring Athens highlights. The pool is the perfect place to unwind and cool off. The rooftop bar and restaurant has the best views of the sunset & Acropolis of anywhere I've stayed in Athens!

I stayed here with my family across 3 different rooms. The staff was very friendly and helpful (& they let us leave our baggage there on arrival day prior to check-in time so that we could explore without our luggage). The rooms were good - they were clean, the beds comfy (not too soft, not too hard), and the bathroom stocked with towels, shampoo/conditioner, and various boxes (shoe polish, shower cap, etc). The breakfast buffet was exceptional. It was probably the best hotel breakfast buffet I have every had the pleasure of eating from. There were hot dishes (scrabbled eggs, fried eggs, hard boiled eggs, potatoes, mushrooms, sausage, roasted tomatoes and peppers/zucchini), an array of olives & cheeses, yogurt, fresh cream cheese, lox, various fruits, preserves, breads, and pastries. The coffee was good and the orange juice fresh squeezed. Overall, this hotel is located in an excellent location within walking distance of all the attractions, clean, staff is friendly, and I would highly recommend.

The stay was excellent, same as previous. Service and rooms are top notch and the breakfast has a great selection, all of high quality. The complimentary 15 min massage was a bonus, the indoor heated pool is a nice way to relax. The terrace was closed due to renovations, but probably a bit cold anyway this time of year.

Great hotel, best location by far! Views of the Acropolis and easy to step out and walk around Athens. The hotel was very comfortable, lovely staff and awesome breakfast/ drinks on the terrace.

The hotel is dated and needs renovating. I wouldn't say this hotel is a 5 star hotel at all (apart from the breakfast area) The room that we have stayed in is small but clean and looking at a back yard and neighbours. They had renovation and noisy work from 9am which we wouldn't know about. The lobby is very quiet and not really serviced (It can do with some music). The breakfast area was beautiful on the 8th floor looking at the acropolis. The breakfast was very good. The location very good and central.

A great hotel in a very central part of Athens. The restaurant and pool have views of the Parthenon. Staff were warm and friendly, the rooms were well serviced and there are plenty of good Restaurants walking distance. We enjoyed our stay and as experienced travellers would recommend this Hotel in Arhens.

We had a very nice stay at this hotel. The saff was very friendly and helpful. They assisted us in booking tours. The rooms could be better for a 5-star hotel, but they were acceptable overall. The hotel has a nice view of Acropolis from rooftop restaurant and pool. You can walk to Acropolis from the hotel and there are some nice restaurants and shops around there.

We were blown away by the staff at Electra Palace! This was our first visit to Greece and they were so helpful and accommodating. We celebrated a birthday at Zohos and the experience was amazing. Thanks to the wonderful staff for a memorable evening!

Great location specially their top roof restaurant! The rooms are a little gloomy and no beautiful view. The location is convenient because we could walk to several main places and also shop locally which was very cool!

A beautiful hotel and the service and every staff member were genuinely kind and wonderful! We stayed for our honeymoon and it was the best trip we’ve ever been on. Thank you and thank you for the upgrade to the beautiful suite with private plunge pool. It was amazing!

The room was decent, if not small. But we did not go to Athens for a hotel room. That being said, their roof deck/pool/breakfast/restaurant spot was top notch. A solid and well rounded breakfast service, buffet style, with ample selections of both Greek and International options. The view from up top cannot be beat. Starting our day with a well prepared breakfast & coffee and ending it with a cocktail was a highlight for sure. Th

The location of the Electra Palace is why we chose this hotel during our stay in Athens. It was in the heart of town and an easy walk to the Acropolis and other attractions nearby. Our room was relatively small, but we were only there 2 nights so it was not a problem for my husband and me. We enjoyed breakfast on the rooftop with views of the Acropolis, as well as the small pool where we could relax. The breakfast was plentiful with many options! I'm writing this review specifically because I had left one of my favorite shirts behind in our room's closet and reached out to the hotel to see if they had found it. They had!! And they offered to ship it back to me in the States. I could not be more appreciative of that! That is quality service. Thank you so much, Dimitris and Georgia!!!

Front desk and staff are pleasant and courteous. While the rooms are fairly nice as is the hotel itself, the rooms are incredibly small, at least the one I had and shared with my wife could not really accommodate our 3 bags comfortably. The bathroom had an odor that just would not go away even after 3 days. The breakfast on the top floor is a buffet style self serve situation and is decent, but nothing incredible by any means. The location of the hotel is what makes it, you're within walking distance to all the shops and a few minutes from Acropolis.

Classy hotel in the center of Athens. Enjoy the use of the terrace Acropolis monument front, having meal or drink. Staff are unexpected polite and attentive to any detail.

Opulent grandeur reminiscent of earlier grand English hotels. Service was exceptional, especially Sofia, the guest relations staff member. She was above and beyond in her willingness to assist. Restaurants and bars were excellent.

We (one of 4 couples) stayed 4 nights at the Electra Palace in Athens GR. The hotel was perfectly located being both next to Plaka on one side & the downtown area on the other side and a 5 min or so walk to the Monastiraki area. Our room was perfectly appointed and comfortable with a terrace and view of the Acropolis. The highlight at the hotel every day was the breakfast on the rooftop with the fantastic views of the Acropolis and surrounding area. The food served at breakfast was over the top! Having a cocktail at sunset in the same venue was not so bad either. We highly recommend the Electra Palace Athens hotel!!

Stayed here for a week with my husband during his LBS assignment. We had a great room with a balcony, the room decor has a vintage vibe which I loved, the staff is very friendly and polite and helped us with local recommendations. Great top floor cafe with view of the acropolis. Enjoyed morning breakfast and returned for tea in the afternoon a couple of times just for the lovely view

Husband and I had an amazing time at the Electra Palace Athens. The BEST, most GORGEOUS views of the Acropolis! Staff is very friendly and professional. Specially the bartenders. Breakfast was great and reception was prompt and efficient to help every time. highly recommend.

This is a 5-star hotel which is reasonably priced and well situated in Plaka. Plenty of interesting restaurants, bars and shops close by add to the experience. I wish the pool was a little larger but probably not technically feasible given the location and building design.

  • 5/5 C C. 2 years ago on Google
Great location, service, room. Amazing views from rooftop restaurant for breakfast buffet. Pool is nice, with a view and actually used! Clean, classy. Would stay here again, in the heart of the action of Athens.

The breakfast is the best! Everything tasted great and there were so many options. Staff is very friendly. Location is great- short walk to Acropolis, Agora & restaurants. Hotel and rooms are very tidy, they take all Covid precautions seriously. However, the room is very tiny, can barely fit the luggage and hard to move in the bathroom due to the size. Beds are stiff, very unpleasant to sleep on. I would recommend this hotel if travel alone or have a small luggage.

My second year staying at Electra, and loved it. Their staff is super nice, breakfast and not to mention the view. Very clean rooms and comfortable bed and pillows. The pool is a bit small and sometimes you don’t find a sunbed but I didn’t mind waiting while having a coffee with Acropolis view.

  • 5/5 Catherine C. 2 years ago on Google
Excellent hotel, staff are very friendly. Rooms, although not large are perfectly adequate for your stay. Get a room with a view of the Acropolis which when lit at night time is fabulous. Well worth the extra cost. Breakfast has lots of options with great views. Rooftop restaurant is excellent. Well centred for most archeological sites and shopping. Highly recommended.

Such a wonderful location and beautiful hotel! The room was beautifully appointed, comfortable, quiet and clean. Dimitri in the roof top bar made us wonderful drinks to enjoy the sunset and view of the Acropolis lighting up each night. George at the front desk was so helpful as well. Come to Athens and stay here- Plaka- best location and hotel!!

  • 4/5 Dylan H. 2 years ago on Google
We booked an Acropolis View suite for one night for our honeymoon. The room was comfortable - if a bit smaller than the pictures suggested for the price - the view of the Acropolis from the balcony is outstanding. We got lucky with a corner room suite as it was more private. The food at the restaurant was very good (and it's views are even better). Staff was extremely helpful. The location is great with walking distance to some of the best restaurants in plaka. We were disappointed to find that the pool deck was crowded and closed at 7pm (as it was one of the highlights we booked the hotel for) but that's part on us for not checking it's operating hours.

Absolutely faultless - location was perfect, with views of the Acropolis at breakfast, the roof top pool was lovely and the staff were amazing.

Best view in Athens right in the heart of the best neighborhood of Plaka. Most comfortable bed and outstanding breakfast. Staff was over accommodating. Felt very at home from the start. Easy access to all attractions.

Absolutely AMAZING! After our Airbnb canceled on us the night before, we were stranded in Athens at 1 in the morning. The hotel receptionist was great! He let us stay in the lobby for 3 hours until we were able to book a room. The breakfast was also amazing, with high quality food that you just want to keep eating! Our server, Nikos, was incredible. He went above and beyond to serve us, bringing drinks to the table, taking our plates away, helping us find food, and even taking our picture. 10/10, amazing hotel and people. Thank you!

Beautiful Hotel. We got our room hours before check in which was a big plus since we just flew 12 hours. The breakfast was ok and the view was perfection. The biggest plus to the room was the amazing shower, it was a pure bliss. Will stay here again.

Nice hotel with friendly staff and excellently placed in Central Athens. Some of the rooms could do with a little tlc but generally are nice and comfortable. Great view of the Acropolis for breakfast and dinner should you wish to eat in the restaurant.

Everything was great except the breakfast - I stay for 5 days and I have the same food every day. At a 5 stars hotel, I expect to have something different every day. And no Prosecco 😬. For that reason I give only 4 stars.

Such a lovely stay at Electra Palace. At first, when we pulled up to the hotel I couldn’t believe it was a 5-star but the minute we walked in…we were blown away. The staff and service was superb and everyone was very nice. We loved our room which had a garden view and peek of the Parthenon. THE POOL IS GORGEOUS!! Go to the outdoor pool if you can for amazing views and drinks! Lastly the rooftop restaurant was delicious (especially breakfast) with a variety of food and delicacies. Would definitely stay here again

  • 5/5 Ms. E. 1 year ago on Google
I enjoyed my stay, even if only for 1 night. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable about the city. The room was clean, comfortable, and my view of the Parthenon amazing! The rooftop restaurant gave you more beautiful views. Not to mention the breakfast was delicious with a wide variety of food. I would definitely stay here again. Great job Electra Palace thanks for the hospitality.

Very nice rooms, ours had spectacular view of Acropolis. Quite rooms well decorated, comfortable bed, nice open shower ( no tub ). AC worked great. Service very nice and accommodating. Roof garden with full breakfast was excellent, again with spectacular view of Acropolis. Pool is small but very nice.

Really a top notch hotel. It is beautiful inside. Breakfast buffet is splendid, stayed 2 days and food was good both times. Staff very friendly and helpful. Only downside, and not really that bad, is the location. Tour bus unable to pull up out front. Had to walk a few blocks with luggage. Like I said no big deal!

  • 4/5 George D. 1 year ago on Google
Great location and amazing service. The rooms were small and the views from the premium garden rooms were underwhelming. The breakfast buffet is wonderful and there are great views of the Acropolis. The pool had amazing views, but the seating was limited. The service across the property was super attentive and friendly

Beautiful hotel and great service. All staff were very accommodating & offered great advice for exploring the city. We felt very safe during our stay. The view of the acropolis from the pool & restaurant was a great addition to our experience!

The rooms are comfortable the staff is supportive and the breakfast is delicious. The rooms doesn’t have good view unless you got the room with view. We enjoyed our stay here it is in plaka and safe neighborhood. The offer water for our baby and taxi rides every time we are out. We enjoyed staying here. Just little info the hotel is old but you won’t feel it :)

The room was great with sitting area and balcony... The helpful young man at the front desk that got me a taxi late last night was just the sweetest and made the experience even better. He told me what I should expect in charges and we chatted while I waited for our taxi.... My best friend spent the night at the hotel.

This hotel has amazing customer service , beautiful decor, amazing food and stunning views. It is located in a central popular go to location and it exceeded our expectations. Rarely does one find a hotel that is so so nice that staying in the hotel becomes the best part of your vacation. Overlooks the Acropolis. Convenient to shopping and dining. Amazing restaurant close to hotel: Winners. Rooftop dining spectacular.
