Very good hotel with polite, friendly and helpful staff. I liked the fact that it has rooms in a dedicated quiet zone. The rooms are a tad on the older side, but are generally on par with the standard of an international 4 star hotel. The location is about 30-40 minute pleasant walk or ~5 euro uber/taxi ride away from the main tourist sights. There are some very nice restaurants within short walking distance from the hotel.

I have stayed here twice and would be happy to stay again. This hotel is clean, comfortable, and the staff gives you a genuine welcome. After a long flight, it was relaxing and rejuvenating to have a quiet room, hot bath, and stocked refrigerator. The staff is incredibly kind, everyone was helpful and went above and beyond to make sure our stay was the best. A special thank you to Alexandros, who helped us navigate the area. Breakfast and room service are delightful.

If you have four people here, I recommend you to stay in this hotel. It is because the price for four is almost the same as the price of double room! The room is typical crowne plaza style and the shower is great as usual. The location is alright which is 10 mins away from the closest metro. Staffs are not especially friendly but it is not a matter for me. It is probably one of the best room in Athens.

Very friendly staff and good service level! Thanks to the membership program, I got the room upgraded and enjoyed more space in my room. The location is also convenient, with walking distance you could find great spot and something nice to eat. The breakfast level is also okay. The improvement point: I have no clues why having the music on from the speaker in the hall way, you could hear it when lying in the bed and it was late in the evening(after 23:00) and earlier in the morning(06:00), really annoying when you want to enjoy a peaceful sleep.

Our home away from home when we're in Athens. Located approx. a 10 minute walk from the center of Athens in a very nice neighborhood. The rooms are spacious and well appointed. The staff are friendly and helpful.

It is the perfect hotel in a perfect location for business or pleasure. 5 Stars for everything but for the kindness of the personnel for the total feeling of hospitality being a guest instead of a customer i think 7 stars deserve it with no further comments.

Aging a bit, but formidable. Stayed in April 2023. The staff were incredible, very accommodating and helpful. The rooms were a bit dated, but likened to the charm. Would stay here again, loved it. Chaire!

Comfortable hotel but dated. One would expect more recently updated hotel for the money, and a 5 star rating. Carpeting in common areas is worn with a 1990s color scheme. Location is average - maybe technically it is "City Center" but in reality it's a hefty 20-30 min walk to the Royal Palace or Plaka. The area is residential with an average appeal.

Truly 5star experience. We booked the family suite. Rooms are big. Lovely rooftop swimming pool. Dinner was delicious. Fresh produce. Cons: Breakfast could have been better.

Fantastic hotel. Room is excellent, bathrooms have room and space around the sink to make it easier to get ready in the morning. Roof top restaurant has fantastic views too!

The rooms are dated, the bathroom needs work but the service at the front desk is great. Breakfast is served daily at cost, equivalent to about $17 U.S. Located about a ten minute drive from the central area of Athens.

As with all European hotels, the rooms were small by American standards. They were, however, comfortable, clean, and adequately furnished. Hotel staff was, without exception, outstanding. Restaurant and bar were very good. Lovely having cocktails on the deck in the evening.

We stayed in this hotel after a cruise but had stayed in the Holiday Inn near the Airport prior to the cruise so I can compare both IHG properties. The Crowne Plaza is very dated, but the rooms are basic accommodations. The concierge and front desk reception provided exceptional service and very helpful as my husband needed a pharmacy and they found the nearest pharmacy, ordered a taxi and negotiated the fare with the taxi! First rate service! Meals are not included in the room rate, and that was fine. Dinner was slow and the waiter forgot to bring our food although there were only 2 other people in the restaurant. They seem under staffed. Breakfast at Crowne Plaza should be avoided. The bread selection is fair, but the meat, egg and fruit selections on the buffet were substandard. In comparison, the Holiday Inn Airport is a much newer property, modern decor and very clean. The concierge and front desk staff were equally accommodating, and the "plus" for this hotel is the breakfast and dinner is included. The downside is that there are no other places to get food near the Holiday Inn-Airport. The hotel is isolated in an industrial area.

Excellent stay in this Crowne Plaza. We were offered a free upgrade on arrival which was a great touch. The staff are very friendly, the rooms spotless and the buffet breakfast was actually really nice. I touch further from the City Centre than we thought but still a short walk/taxi journey to all the hot spots of the centre of Athens

First impressions of the hotel was that it was a little run down and could use some refurbishment. However those concerns quickly disappeared after the dealings with the staff. From the reception staff, the concierge; cleaners and dining people I was thoroughly impressed with their consistent friendly and professional service. On top of that I rate the breakfast menu in range and quality as the best I’ve ever tasted anywhere in the world. As a bonus you are treated to tremendous views of the city and surrounding hills while you eat. I thoroughly recommend this establishment to anyone visiting Athens.

I have stayed in better 2 and 3 star hotels in USA and Europe than this supposedly 5 star hotel. The furnishings are outdated and in poor condition. The bathroom is a tub with shower head in middle of tub and only a half wall. The bathroom caulking on tile is poor and needs repair. The hotel is far from center of Athens so a good walk and additional not a good area so not really safe at night. I walked to hotel at 23:00 from center and would not say safe for most people. I booked 2 reservations on consecutive nights and front desk called me at 14:00 on day 2 asking when I was leaving. I had reservation for that night. Cleaning staff opened door when I already exchanged towels with another member of staff earlier that afternoon.

Really nice, classy hotel, comfortable. Great breakfast buffet. But the other bars and restaurants are closed due to covid.

We wanted to be close to our granddaughter while at college in Athens. It was close to shopping and metro transportation. A special shout out to the young porter who encouraged us with excellent instructions and encouragement to try the Metro. We did and he was right. It was easy. The shopping was productive too.

Spent two nights in the hotel (business trip/conference visit). While the property is not new, it is kept in excellent shape and very clean. My room had a nice view over the city. The full breakfast buffet (including fresh-squeezed orange juice!) is served in the rooftop bar and very enjoyable. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful throughout my stay. Also want to mention the great restaurant recommendations by the gentleman at the reception desk (a Greek restaurant right next to the hotel and the 360 Cocktail bar with breathtaking view onto the Akropolis). Definitely recommend the hotel.

The hotel is at central location but not exactly in City Center which is 3-4 kms away. You can find taxi for this costing about Eur 5. Room was good but not as expected for a 5 Star hotel. Furnitures were old and scratched. Bathroom has some old styled glass decoration. More discomfort was the glass divider on bathtub which was too short to cover water falling from the shower. Breakfast was good and had great views. Pool was too small. But more disturbing was the staff and the promise keeping. Staffs speak rudely and without please or sorry. They are not however alone in Greece but they needed to be polite and cultured. The hotel gives VIP access when you pay higher amount, so I was offered this too. My checkout was on Saturday. VIP access means you can early check in and late checkout. Even without this VIP Access no hotel has refused me when I have asked 1-2 hours longer. So here they had the breakfast till 11:00. After breakfast I called front desk and asked what is the checkout time, they said 11:30. I was shocked as it was already 11:15 after returning from breakfast. I requested politely if we could make it 13:00. A rude reply was: No. Then I referred to the promise of VIP access. He says, subject to availability. Such service can’t be subject to availability. It is also illogical to pepare and check out within 30 minutes after breakfast. I literally told him that I will give a BAD review. Then the late checkout became all of sudden possible. But by then the heart was already broken and we had already bad taste in mouth. We however checked out far before 13:00 hours. Request for manager: I see that you always reply and apologize on negative reviews. In stead of apologizing 8000 times you can better learn one time to be decent, polite and helpful. It looks hypocrite that you first give bad service and then keep it repeating after apologies. This means you don’t mean any apology.

Very decent hotel for business trips. Close to city centre but not smack in the middle of it. Has its own garage with valet service (15e per day). Rooms are clean and breakfast is nice and served in a top floor dining hall with a pool (summer only). The view during breakfast is very nice. Free Wi-Fi with decent connection speeds.

Lovely hotel with excellent service and kind staff. We had dinner and breakfast included and it was so good. Many choices and great quality. We could choose a 3 course dinner from a great menu. Beautiful view at the restaurant at 7th floor. The kids love the pool. Great roof terrace. Love to come back. //Susanna, family with 3 children

We stayed at Crowne Plaza Athens on two separate occasions and would gladly stay there again. The hotel is centrally located, clean and well appointed. Hotel has an outdoor pool, workout center, fantastic breakfast and front staff can even exchange US dollars for Euros. We even had a minor medical emergency during one of our stays and the front staff could not have been more accommodating and helpful. A little more expensive than some other hotels in the area, but we found it to be well worth it!

The hotel is very nice. Staff are full of courtesy and professional. The room facility is great with ample rooms. I was upgraded into a club room. There were pod coffee machine, free water, biscuits and cocoa drinks. For sports fans there were 14 sports channels I think. Covers major European football and basketball games. The bed is comfortable and I had a great sleep. Charging ports are plenty. Club lounge is boutique. Offering is generic. But for breakfast it fills the hole. There are soft drinks, water and beers any time. I only used for breakfast so don't know about evenings. My room had a balcony but the door did not open, slightly inconvenience. But that does not take away the fact that the hotel is superb for its value.

Walking area is easily accessed with taxi about 5 Euro. Rooms are clean. Nice hotel. Breakfast is good with a nice rooftop view.

Good location, standard room is quite big. Roof top bar and swimming pool is a plus. Laundry service seemed expensive, but right across the street has a dry cleaning place that washed my bag of clothes for 10euro. There's always a cab outside.

We went through our IHG, so paid our stay with points, the service, staff, were amazing. Has a beautiful rooftop restaurant (inside and outside). Have a very nice breakfast buffet. Because we were IHG, they included the breakfast in our cost. And our ride to the cruise was late and the hotel even paid for our transportation. Excellent Hotel
